Work Text:
The world isn’t perfect Izuku knew that, if it was his dad wouldn’t have left and his mother would love him, but it wasn’t. Especially for quirkless people, and because of his quirklessness he learned to read and analyze people. He also learned hacking and staying under the radar, among other things.
However the first thing he learned is quirkless statistics. 20 percent of the world is quirkless, 75% of them are over the age of 25. 5% percent of Japan is quirkless, 4% of them over the age of 30. 90% of quirkless people commit suicide. 3% have parents who care after their diagnosis, and 95% of them are homeless.
Which lead him to here, trying to be a hero in his own way. His plan is to hack into schools of quirkless people and look through the cameras, and reporting everyone who bullies said quirkless person with the footage, Always keeping a copy just in case. It’s not like they would ignore the report. Right?
The next few days it nags at him so, he goes to see what happened to the bullies…
Nothing
And all their footage has also been deleted which means they certainly saw it and are choosing to ignore it. So if they are ignoring it, what can he do? Go to the police? Wait…
Some of the kids used their quirks, and he has the emails and you can see when footage is deleted…
He sends all his backup footage and screen shots of the reports to the local police station.
2 days later news of a school getting shutdown do to discrimination comes out and all izuku can think is, It worked!
Now that Izuku has a plan it’s easy to see what to do next, he gets into a schedule wake up early, make breakfast for mo-Inko, clean the apartment go to hel- I mean school try to get as little injuries as possible, clean whatever injuries he goes get, then hack schools and work places for blackmail! A normal teenage life, or not but we can’t get everything we want.
—————————
The station has been concerned to say the least. In the Musutafu station they have been get video footage and photo proof of quirk discrimination, almost entirely of quirkless people. They obviously take care of it but they don’t know who’s sending it, a vigilante perhaps?
So like they always do when they have a problem they give it to Detective Tsukachi, when he gets the case he makes the same assumption as everyone else, it’s a new vigilante, and who does they best with taking out vigilantes, Eraserhead. So he calls him in.
“Hey detective what do you need.” Says non other than Aizawa Shouta
”I need your help with a potential vigilante”
”Details?”
”A few weeks ago we started getting messages about discrimination of quirkless people from an unknown sender that doesn’t respond if we ask who they are, all information has proven to be accurate and we have taken appropriate action however we need to figure out who this is before they take it to the next extreme.”
”Ok I’ll keep my eye out, I have to go on patrol have a nice night”
“Bye eraser”

Izuku was just practicing his hacking he swears, he didn’t mean to come across a trafficking ring but what is he supposed to do?! He realizes he’s panicking after a second so he does so breathing exercises and does what he always does, gets creative and some hacking, 5 minutes later he has Detective Tsukachi, Eraserhead and Present Mic’s phone numbers and sends them all the information he’s found along with an analysis of the villains quirks, Well hopeful this goes well.

When Yamada got added to a group chat he did not expect it to have his old friend in it, nor did he expect there to be a detective that he commonly works with and least of all did he expect a semi vigilante to be in there but it seems fun so he’ll see what’s going on
————————
This may be Izuku’s best and worst decision yet. Let me back track a little. After creating the group chat he expected that to be it, maybe the detective would try to interrogate him but it would be quickly over with, he didn’t think he would message in the chat again, nor did he think he would message in the chat for fun but what do you know the world is full of surprises.
Izuku quickly found himself texting in the chat often and learning random things. Like how Eraser has a kid his age with a “villainous” quirk and how they all face discrimination. He found himself starting to trust him the more he talked.
Which is likely what lead him here about to ask for help because Inko had a little too much alcohol and Izuku… didn’t want to die yet. It’s a weird feeling being determined to die and then 3 people that he has never even met in person before made him not want to die, and in no way is completely out of his lifetime mindset but maybe he can be. Maybe this people he decided to trust can pick up some shattered pieces and super glue him back together. So he texts them his location and a simple text saying ‘I need help’ than he loses consciousness
————————
When he wakes up he immediately tenses when he senses someone else in the room than he remembers what happened and his eyes shoot open and he sees he’s in a hospital room with Present Mic.
“Little listener you’re awake! Shou and Tuskachu will be back soon”
”W-wh-a” he dissolved into a coughing fit
”oh! Here’s some water” as I drink the water Eraserhead and the detective walks in,
“Oh, good he’s awake I’ll get the doctor.” Says Tuskachu
After I’m given a check up Tuskachu asks Izuku what happened, at first he is hesitant because he is worried that won’t believe him, like when he tried to tell kaachan. Then the detective explains his quirk and everything comes spilling out his quirklessness, the bulling the abuse all of it and by the end Present Mic is sitting next to him and comforting him as he cries. Eventually he falls asleep again and when he wakes up Present Mic will adopt him. He’ll make a friend with purple hair that will later become his boyfriend and a little after that someone with a lightning bolt in they’re hair will join them, Nezu will take him under his wing and they’ll all be hero’s.
The world isn’t fair and it never will be but we can make it work
