Light grey clouds clung at the bright blue sky, concealing it of its beauty. Barely any light was showing through in the early winter morning, the sun just about rising. Soft snores emitted from the bedroom, where it was significantly much more warmer than the chilling breeze outside.
Arms wrapped around each other’s arms, buried in a mountain full of thick blankets in a range of bright and dull colours. The early hours of the morning were peaceful, many people would usually be asleep during this time on the weekend. George however had just woke up, his tired eyes fluttered open being met with a blonde bush of hair that laid on his chest.
Boy if it was up to him, he could just stay here forever, embracing the warmth that Clay emitted. It also had something to do with the fact that George was completely and utterly in love with the man in front of him, after many years of close friendship and endless flirting back and forth, the two men confessed their love about 2 years ago when they had first met up. And that is where it all began really, multiple plane flights to Florida or England.
They had made the decision about 6 months ago to move in with each other, ultimately deciding Florida was the best option as all of their friends were there. George and Clay were now visiting George’s family for about a month or so, not forgetting them thankfully in his travel to the US.
As George zoned back into reality, he looked down on the blonde on him. He looked to his left to find his phone on charge on the nightstand. George took one hand from stroking the other’s hair and grabbed it quietly not wanting to wake Clay just yet.
Click. George took a photo of the sleepy head, moving over to the twitter app and attaching the photo of Clay sleeping on his chest. ‘piss baby’ Was the text he wrote out, waiting a few seconds before tapping the ‘tweet button’ on the app.
It was a matter of literal seconds before the thousands of replies came in, loving how the two were getting more comfortable in sharing their relationship on social media. George placed his phone back down carefully before attaching them back on Clay’s blonde hair and stroking softly.
Around 15 minutes had passed, Clay shuffling around slightly before fluttering his wispy eyes open. This was obviously not visible to George, him still stroking the same pattern in his hair he had been doing for the past 15 minutes. He started quietly humming to fill the quiet room, a song that him and Clay would always listen to in the car or at home where the music is blasted out from the kitchen radio.
Clay finally moved around once more after a couple minutes of enjoying this moment, he placed his chin gently on George’s chest and looked up into those chocolate brown eyes. “Good morning my love.” Clay whispered smiling up. Hands were still placed in the blonde’s hair as he smiled back, leaning down to place a soft kiss to his lips. “Morning.” Clay leaned up slightly, hovering himself over George, moving in to kiss him again.
But just as They were about to connect once again the bedroom door burst open, revealing a short brunet. The two boys immediately pulled apart, separating from their embrace. The short girl at the doorway had her eyes wide open in shock, mouth agape. “Uhh we were just-“ George started before he was rudely interrupted by Diana, gagging loudly before speaking what she came in here for in the first place.
“Shut up I don’t want to know about your stupid coverup, I just came in here to tell you mum wants us downstairs in half hour, we are going out in the snow soon.”
Diana quickly slammed to door shut, loud stomps thundered down the hallway. “Mum!!! Where’s the bleach?!” Was heard booming through the house, Clay and George turned to each other their expressions blank before they both went into a fit of laughter.
George unwrapped all the blankets from around his body, placing his two feet on the ground before standing up and walking towards the window. Clay groaned as the light was let into the usually dark room, the curtains were drawn open. “Oh don’t be such a pissbaby Clay.” George teased.
“What did you just call me?”
“Piss… Baby.” George giggled at the end of the sentence.
Clay got up quickly from the bed and ran towards George, who squealed trying to get away from the taller. That didn’t end up happening as Clay’s arms wrapped around the shorter’s waist and pulling his body towards him. George was quickly turned around to face and look up towards Clay. “I dare you to say that to my face and see what happens.” Clay warned, a smile creeping up on his face.
“piss-“ George was unable to finish the word as the hands around his waist started moving rapidly, tickling him in the sides. “Wait! C-clay Stoppp.” George breathed out, trying to get away from the grip.
“Say your sorry and I will think about it.”
“I- I’m sorry!” George yelled out, laughing.
The grip on his body loosened, George finally able to let out a long breath of relief. Clay smiled at the smaller, hands still laid loosely on the other’s hips. “We really have the get ready now.” George placed his head on Clay’s chest, both swaying lightly back and forth. George wrapped his arms around clay’s neck. “Just five more minutes.”
When the two were finally dressed appropriately to go outside in the snow, they both interlocked hands and headed downstairs sitting on the kitchen counter while George’s mum placed a shared plate of pancakes in front of them. “You boys want syrup ?”
“Yes.”
“No”
They both gave each other a playful glare. “Oh come on now. Who doesn’t have syrup!?” Dream argued.
“Uhh me. You should know this by now Clay, I am a basic man.” Clay rolled his eyes at this and smiled.
“Okay fine, Guess we aren’t having syrup.” Clay said to himself, already picking up a knife and fork to cut up some of the pancake.
After the pancakes were demolished, Clay and George headed to the front door where the shoes were placed, putting them on quickly and heading out quickly to the snow. George giggled as he picked up a snowball, and threw it in the direction of Clay, who gasped and looked horrified at George.
George laughed once more, quickly running away as Clay was preparing a large snowball. “Boys!” George’s dad yelled, but it was too late. Both of them had already ran off with each other. “Oh well, I tried.” He shrugged.
Loud squeals were heard from the brunet as he tried running away, luckily the snowball only hit him in the back. Little did George know that Clay actually still had some snow in his hand, and as he got closer to the smaller, he pulled his hand from around his back and shoved the white ball of snow into the back on George’s t-shirt. Now George was the one gasping as he squirmed around to try get the snow out as he yelled. “You bitch!” George cried as Clay wheezed loudly.
“I can’t believe you did that Clay, I hate you.”
“You love me.”
“Your right, I could never hate you.” The two walked along the snow covered path, with interlocked hands. A semi large hill was approaching, and to be honest with you George was way too tired to be walking up that thing, especially with his short legs.
“Carry me.” George stopped and turned to the other, making grabby hands.
“No way you lazy butt.” Clay laughed.
“Fine then guess I’m staying here then.” George pouted, standing still where he was. And if you know how stubborn George was, there was not a chance in hell that he was moving unless he was carried up the hill.
“Ugh your such an idiot, I hope you know that.” Clay gave in pretty easily, walking towards George and picking him up swiftly. He looked down on George as he began to walk up the hill. “You are so lucky I love you, otherwise I would not be doing this.”
“I’m just your favourite person in the whole wide world.” Clay rolled his eyes at this, but smiling nonetheless. George’s family was long gone behind, but neither cared, they were probably going to get a scolding later from his mum but that didn’t matter right now.
Finally, they both made it to the top of the hill, Clay placing them both on a small bench that was built at the top. George was still in Clay’s arms, and to be quite honest he didn’t plan on leaving them either, Clay was going to have to get used to carrying George around.
The blonde rocked them back and forth slightly, humming the same song George did from earlier as the snow began to fall a little heavier. George closed his eyes for a little while, slightly shivering from not moving around, but I guess that was his fault.
Obviously this didn’t go unnoticed by the much larger male holding him. “Are you cold George? Do you want my sweater?”
“SwEaTeR.” George teased playfully. “Jumper.” He corrected. Clay just rolled his eyes at this and chuckled.
“But I’m okay thankyou Clay, I’m used to the cold. Probably because I am not moving around.”
“Well lets fix that.”
George furrowed his brows at this confused, not understanding what the taller meant by this statement. He was soon to find out when Clay stood up from the slightly uncomfortable wooden bench and walked in the centre of the hill where there was space.
Clay gripped onto George tightly as he spun them both around, dancing around in the thick white snow that acted as a blanket that covered the grass. George and Clay both laughed along with each other, just happy to be of the other’s presence.
Clay finished off their dance with a soft kiss to the lips softly, it lasting a few seconds before both pulling away. The two huddled close together for warmth of the other, but mainly to be as close as possible.
“I love you so much Clay, forever and always.”
“I love you too George, forever and always.”
