Summary
They were enigmas, contradictions, an ironic stroke of the brush. Hyunjin, a fire fairy, with graceful, calculated moves, precise but fluid. Yeji, a water fairy, reckless and rash, flowing but stubborn. Much had changed in the two years they’d been instituted. He had become quieter, she had become louder. A yellow flame flashed from below, blue orbs gathering at the ceiling before plunging towards the ground, some becoming enveloped in brilliant orange almost instantly, while others played with red snakes, dancing around the edge. The man in the white coat stood up straight, glancing at his watch impatiently. It didn’t matter how they changed, not to him or anyone in the facility— they were the only ones to survive the regime thus far, and show promising results.
