Lilac trusted Yogurt Cream to take care of himself while he was away for a moment; besides, he was going to be outside the courtyard, where Yogurt Cream could easily find him if he wanted to. He walked away, quickly and quietly, making his way from the party. He spotted Yogurt Cream, pausing to catch his breath. Whatever he had to say, Lilac could handle it. He walked over, Plain Yogurt turning around, a frown pulling at his lips.
"I see that he's not dead yet," Plain Yogurt stepped forward to Lilac, looking down at the shorter.
"Why is that?" Lilac sucked in a breath.
"I haven't been given a moment to do so without it being suspicious." Plain Yogurt sighed in disappointment.
"Lilac, I hired you to do this mission because I know you would be able to." He turned away, staring at the hills of sand.
"I-"
"Do I need to fire you? Because I can," He looked back at Lilac, smirking. "I could say that you made the plan to kill my younger brother.
"I would tell them you paid me to do the job," Lilac replied. Plain Yogurt paused, and after a second of silence, he laughed, throwing his head back.
"Who would they believe, an assassin that has been posing as a bodyguard for who knows how long," He straightened up, his falling silent, glaring at Lilac, "Or me, the older brother of Yogurt Cream?"
Lilac turned away from him, only to be forcefully turned back around by Plain Yogurt grabbing his arm, pulling forward, and squeezing it enough to hurt. He was smirking when Lilac grimaced in pain.
"Have you forgotten your mission?" Plain Yogurt let go, watching Lilac fall into the stand. Lilac slowly stood back up, glaring at the man in front of him.
"I have not forgotten my mission. I just-" Lilac hesitated, turning back to where the party was, where Yogurt cream was. He looked down, rubbing his hurt arm, avoiding Plain Yogurt's gaze.
"I just need more… time." Plain Yogurt rolled his eyes.
"Fine, I'll give you more time, but if my father dies before the job is done, it's your head I'll have." He pushed past Lilac, making his way back to the party. Lilac could hear him leaving, waiting until he knew he was alone.
Lilac dropped onto his knees, watching the sand become wet due to his tears. He let sound a shaky sigh, turning to look at the night sky.
"He's just a mission." He hated how much Yogurt Cream had affected him. It was one of the easiest jobs he had ever been presented, but he stalled too long, and he got too close, and now he has to face the consequences.
He pulled himself together. Rubbing his tears away, and headed back to the party.
