Chapter Text

Ranboo burns slowly. It starts with the spark of gentle attraction. As he basks in the light of benevolent sunshine, he smoulders in quiet devotion. He is Icarus, and Tommy—kind, bright, wonderful, and golden—is his sun. Tommy is the star to his helpless asteroid heart, and Ranboo is a mere satellite admiring his brilliance.
Ranboo burns, while Tommy is doomed to drown. He is bound to the beach, a mere onlooker to the waves rising in envy of the sky. Tommy longs for something he doesn’t yet know. The tides rise to claim him and shock him with a cold truth. When the water is above his head and he's drifted out to sea and the air in his lungs is scarce he’ll realise that the stormy blue-grey sky was what kept him bound to shore for years.
