   "Because now, his friends, they know he's on edge. He didn't even get the right to deny anything in the first place. He couldn't just show up and pretend everything’s fine when they know how much Shiro meant to him. But he actually doesn't think the breakup affected him that badly. He was already fucked up to begin with and getting his heart shattered by the one man he trusted most in the world only deprived him of the illusion of happiness he made everyone believe he had. Shiro didn't cure his depression or trauma, didn't really fix anything, but at some point the joy he brought him almost felt like it wasn't all an act. Like he genuinely had a chance of being happy with Shiro by his side. What a joke."
