Phone number/War

Summary:

“Okay, so this is kinda awkward but I just realized that I don’t have your phone number and I’d like to
have it cause it would be nice to talk to you outside of when I’m at work and…yeah?"

Sophie laughed, “Sure, I can’t believe we never thought about that earlier!”

Little did Sophie Foster know, she had just made the mistake of a lifetime.

Notes:

Hi! Sorry about the four week break, school's been a complete bit-
ANYWAY.
I can't promise when the next update will be. I might wait a bit so I can write more and then update regularly, if that makes sense. Okay I'm done rambling now, I hope you like this part!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

“Okay, so this is kinda awkward but I just realized that I don’t have your phone number and I’d like to
have it cause it would be nice to talk to you outside of when I’m at work and... yeah?”

Sophie laughed, “Sure, I can’t believe we never thought about that earlier!”

Little did Sophie Foster know, she had just made the mistake of a lifetime.

“Keefe, sending people forty memes in one day is not a good way to make friends.”

“I know,” he nodded.” That’s why I befriended you before I started with the memes.”

Sophie groaned, spinning in her chair.
“That’s not really better!”

“You’re just jealous my meme game is stronger than yours”, he scoffed.

She leaned forward, “Are you sure about that?”

“Oh, do I hear a challenge?”

“Nope. War.”

He put his hands up, “Don’t come begging me to stop when you lose.”

~~~
“Foster!” Keefe yelled upon seeing his friend enter the coffee shop, which earned him more than one
dirty look. “Do you ever sleep?”
Sophie fought back a grin. Staying true to her word, she had spent hours sending Keefe memes the
previous night… and well into the morning.
“Of course, why do you ask?”
“My phone was pining so much my roommate woke up. I put it on silent. I had seventy new messages by
one in the morning. You’re taking this way too seriously.”
“All I hear is that I’m winning.”
“It’s sad that your greatest source of validation is a two-day meme war,” he leaned against the wall.
“Spoken like a true loser.”
Keefe smiled. While he had close friends, and was relatively popular at both school and college, he’d
never had someone who got his sense of humor the way Sophie did. People only enjoyed pranks that
weren’t being played on them (for some bizarre reason).
“You make it seem like you want me to stay in the game.”
“I want to win a victory worth winning. Two days isn’t nearly enough.”
“How long do you think you can keep this up?”
She shrugged, “Could be weeks. Months. Years. It all depends on when you back out.”
“Never.”
“We’ll see about that.”
Notes:
Okay, so this part is weird cause it's a set up for the next one *finger guns?*
I have a bunch of new ideas and a few chapters written, but I need to write the ideas and type the chapters so like...
But yeah like I said at the beginning, updates might be weird for the next few days, if you want to ask about anything my Tumblr is nerdfighterontheloose
As always, feedback, ideas, and any sort of comments are appreciated! Have a great day (or else-)
