Work Text:
“Wait! Hold up, you’ve never had a snow day before? Like at all?” Tubbo asked.
They had just woken up. All of them were relieved that winter break was finally here. Tommy had even burned his homework. They were coming back up stairs from breakfast when Tubbo heard them mention that both of them had never seen snow before. That stopped him in his tracks.
Tubbo pulled both of them aside to their room to question them.
“Well, I mean you make sense,” he said, gesturing to Tommy. Tommy shrugged. “But you?!” Tubbo said, whipping around to Ranboo. “Well, I live on top on literal clouds,”
Oh this will not do. Especially since it’s almost Christmas.
---
Number one: snowboarding
Tubbo dragged both of them outside and threw some winter attire at them.
Tommy adorned a blue puff jacket, fuzzy gloves, and a red scarf. Ranboo on the other hand was much less colorful with his monochrome.
“Holy shit- it’s freezing!” Tommy said, tugging hard on his gloves. His cheeks were flushed as he shivered. His red head band was covered by his hat.
“It’s not that cold,” Ranboo said. He even discarded his hat, scarf, and gloves. This maniac.
“You fucking ass bitch, it is cold as shit-”
Tubbo didn’t wait for the rest of what Tommy was saying. They had precious time to burn. Plus he had a snowboard to snag.
They were in the back of the orphanage. The area that was gated off led to the forest. However that gate was meant for the curious six year olds. Not much for the eleven years olds who wanted to visit a demon. But that’s a story for another time.
Ten other children were playing in the back. Some were building snowmen. Others were sledding. The orphanage only had around twelve sleds for everyone to share.
“Hey! Wait up!” he heard from behind him.It was then followed by the crunching of footsteps on snow.
Tubbo didn’t wait however, he jogged ahead.
The caretakers lade out all of the sleds on top of a hill. Most of the kids played there.
Eventually, they all caught up with each other on a little hill. Some other kids were sledding near. Tommy and Ranboo shared some concerned glances at each other when they heard the kids scream.
Tommy turned to look at the ground when one sled tipped over. Tubbo heard Ranboo take a sharp breath when the kids crashed. Tubbo had a bit more of a wild grin.
He’d gone sledding plenty of times before. The first time was . . . well not the best attempt to put it gently. But crashing is just a part of the sledding experience. Why not just give them a little fun?
“Come on!” Tubbo said, trekking on.
“Um? Tubbo are you sure that we won’t, just, die?” Ranboo asked with a bit of an anxious laugh. Tommy was just poking at the snow.
Ranboo glanced back at the kids who crashed. They were laughing and seemed to be fine, but their cheeks were flushed red. Is that normal?
That was Ranboo’s first mistake. While his back was turned, Tommy thought that it was the perfect chance to cause a little trouble. Tommy gathered up a little lump of snow and shoved it down Ranboo’s jacket.
Ranboo made a startled noise at the sudden rush of cold. Tommy was laughing at the sight.
Tubbo already knew how this would turn out. He ran a few yards away. He started to prep by squeezing some snow together to create somewhat of a wall. Tommy was the closest to him. Ranboo started to shake out the snow from his jacket.
“Oh, ha, HA,” Ranboo said, voice dripping with sarcasm.
“Bitch!” Tommy yelled with a smirk.
Ranboo bent down and started to compress the snow. The shit is this guy made of to be able to do that with his bare hands?! Tommy however already had made a few snowballs.
“Aagh!” Ranboo exclaimed when one of the projectiles were thrown.
“Pffft- AHAH!”
A snowball hit Tommy square in the face.
Oh it was on.
---
Ok, so, remember the part when he said that they were gonna snow board? Yeah, so keep that in mind for later. But for now, snowball fight.
A bunch of other kids decided to join in. How were they able to make so many snowballs in so little time? He couldn’t answer.
“Tommy! Tommy! Over here!” Tubbo called.
“Where?! Where?!” Tommy yelled. He whipped around and spotted Tubbo’s snow fort. “I see you, I- Tubbo cover for me,”
Ranboo teamed up with some other kids, and started to pelt Tommy with snow. Tommy shrieked as he ran. Snow clung to his pants as he sprinted to safety.
Tubbo shot at each kid. Not enough to stop them, but just enough for Tommy to vault over the three foot wall.
Ranboo started to laugh. “You’re completely out numbered! Surrender Now and we’ll grant you mercy!”
Ranboo then turned to the kids and said “Actually, no mercy, just shoot,”
“We can fucking hear you bitch!” Tommy yelled over the wall.
“Good!”
Tubbo turned to Tommy and whispered “I mean they kinda have a point, but we’re not gonna surrender right?”
“No! Of course we’re not gonna fucking surrender. Especially not to fucking Ranboob of all people!” Tommy whispered.
A snowball landed right next to Tommy’s foot.
“That’s not my name!” Ranboo yelled from afar.
“What the hell are we gonna do?” Tubbo whisper yelled.
Tommy thought it over a bit. There are two of them, and, Tommy peaked his head over, eleven of the other kids. They need something that can shoot fast. What do they have?
Tommy scanned the land. Snow, snow, branch, snow, snow . . .
It was as if Tubbo had been reading his mind. “Wait, I think I have something that can help us!”
“What? What?”
“Ok, so, a few years ago I sorta stole a tennis ball gun and stashed it behind the orphanage,”
“You what?!-”
“They just left it with me, ok!”
Tommy wasn’t even gonna question who ‘they’ was at this point.
Tubbo turned to him with a mischievous look in his eyes. “Just trust me, Tommy,”
It was a risky idea, but everything they do now and days was a risky idea. “How long will it take you?”
Tubbo glanced back toward the orphanage. “Probably a few minutes,”
Well, if this meant he could pelt all of them in the face with snow, then so be it.
They didn’t get to exchange another word as Tommy lept out from the side.
“Hey you fucking boob boy! Come at me!”
Tommy started to throw snowballs as the other threw back. “Ay!” Ranboo yelped as blocked one with his arm. He lowered his arm. “Fire!” he ordered.
Tubbo took this chance to sprint in the other direction. Tommy shrieked as he was hit with snow. A worthy sacrifice. Tubbo saluted as he ran.
Tubbo jumped over stones, sidestepped other people, and leaped across the ice. Adrenaline pumped through his veins.
He brushed by barren trees as he closed in. Finally, he was spotted. “Hey!” a kid yelled.
Tubbo resisted the urge to freeze. Instead he ran faster. A few snowballs licked at his heels. He threw a glance over his shoulder. A kid with strawberry blonde hair threw two more at him.
Micheal. You fucking bastard.
Micheal turned around and started to call for backup. Uh oh. “Hey guys! Tubb- AHH!”
Micheals’s brown, knee length jacket, fluttered as he fumbled.
Tommy had thrown a snowball on the back of their head.
“Pfff- puh- What the?-” Micheal sputtered as he turned to face whoever threw it.
Tubbo took this chance to book it.
“Should’ve kept your eyes on my bitch!” Tommy yelled from a distance.
Tubbo finally skidded to a stop at the back of the orphanage. He dropped down next to a somehow surviving flower. He started to dig.
If Tubbo remembered correctly, he buried it around six inches deep. He scraped past all the snow till he was left with frozen dirt. Ah shit.
Tubbo clawed his way through. He threw loose rocks behind his head as he dug deeper and deeper into the earth. Just as Tubbo was about to give up, his hands struck something bendy. It was too flexible and round to be a rock. Yet it had too much structure to be plant materiale.
Tubbo looked down, and saw the tip of a tube. Their ticket to victory.
---
“Oh god, Tubbo, where are you?” Tommy thought as he evaded more snow. Ranboo cackled as the children tried their best at hitting Tommy. Micheal had regained his footing, and started to throw with a bit more force this time.
Tommy ran in circles, narrowly dodging each throw. “Stand still!” Micheal yelled, as he wound up his arm. Ranboo’s entire little gremlin army advanced forwards. Tommy slipped and landed face first in the snow. “Shit!”
Uh oh. He was cornered. “Tubbo, it would be a very good time to show up now,” he muttered under his breath.
Ranboo walked up to him slowly. He motioned to the others to stand down. Everything was silent.
“Any last words?” Ranboo said tossing up and down what would be a finishing blow.
Tommy’s eyes flicked from left to right. They scanned everything that could help him. But he found nothing. As he was about to say a final goodbye in his head, or an epic one liner, Tommy saw a small figure climbing up the hill.
A brunette with messy hair and a long tube sneakily climbed up. The tube was filled with white balls of snow.
A grin spread onto Tommy’s face.
“Yeah, look behind you,”
---
Although he couldn’t be one hundred percent sure with Ranboo’s mask, he liked to think that Ranboo’s face fell.
There was no time to glance back. Screams echoed out as children ran from this horror.
“WHAT THE FU-” someone started, but was muffled by the sound of ice.
“OH GOD!” Ranboo shouted as he ran. He did not get far however, as he was shortly hit in the back of the head with a snowball.
Eventually a path was cleared.
“TOMMY!” Tubbo yelled, running over. Some kids were regaining their footing. However, those kids were out of amo. They had matching grins on their faces.
“TUBBO!” Tommy matched. Tubbo extended a hand for Tommy to grab. Tommy placed his hand in Tubbo’s, then was yanked up.
“Got here in the nick of time,” Tubbo said. But Tommy had moved on from that fact.
Tommy was eyeing the tennis ball gun with awe. “What the?- woah, holy shit,” He circled Tubbo, examining the launcher in Tubbo’s hands.
Tubbo giggled. “I told you this would help us!”
Tommy stopped admiring their winning shooter for a second. Many of the others were still laying in the snow. Though he thinks they’re just pretending to be dead. A few had gotten back up to go build a snowman.
However, they did not get to relish in their victory for long.
A snowball landed right between their feet.
---
They both froze with eyes as wide as saucers. They slowly rotated their heads. Behind them they saw Ranboo, shakely standing, clutching his arm for some reason. ( Probably for dramatic effect.)
"Shit, Tubbo, how many more snowballs do we have left?" Tommy asked, a bit worried.
"Uh . . . ."
Oh Tommy did not like the sound of that. Hesitantly, he turned to see the tennis ball gun completely empty.
“Tubbo? . . .”
“Tommy? . . .”
. . . . .
Tommy grabbed onto Tubbo’s hand.
“RUN!”
---
Tubbo ditched the tennis ball launcher in favor of speed. Tommy led the two in an attempt of safety. They did try their best on avoiding the children still laying on the ground. (He hopes they’re not knocked out. Oh they’d get an ear full of scolding from Puffy if they were knocked out.)
They did ultimately stumble on a few kids’ feet. You’d think that it would be hard to run with two people. But you’d be wrong.
Tommy and Tubbo ran as one unit. Not too fast where Tubbo would stumble and trip. Yet not too slow, where they’d sacrifice much needed time. If one did start to slow, the other just needed to push or pull.
To be honest, Tommy did not know where he was leading them.
Ranboo with his long as fuck legs kept them on their heels.
They came to a bit of a problem when they reached the edge of the hill. They veered at the end, careful to not tumble over.
Tommy whipped his head from side to side. A little red sled was discarded a few yards away. Oh yeah, that’s what they planned originally. Man, has he ever had a plan go this sideways before?
Wait, the literal only reason why he’s here now is because his day did not go as planned. But that’s a story for another time.
“There! There!” Tommy said, running towards the sled.
“Tommy! Tommy!” Tubbo yelled, tugging him abruptly to the side. Tommy almost slipped as he saw what Tubbo was so worried about. Four snowballs, four, landed right where Tommy just stood.
“Oh come ON!” Ranboo groaned.
“Tubbo- Tubbo thanks, but we need to run now,” Tommy said quickly.
Ranboo was right on their heels at this point. Tommy and Tubbo were giving it everything that they had left at this point.
Both of them fucking flew as they made the last strech towards their final victory.
Tommy carefully stepped on the plastic board. Tommy waved his hand, motioning for Tubbo to step on.
Ranboo saw what they were planning. He sprinted at full speed. Ranboo dived straight into them. The sled tipped forward.
“AAAAAHHHHHH!-”
---
“What am I gonna do with you three?” Puffy groaned, pinching the top of her nose bridge.
“Sorry . . .” They all muttered in unison.
All of them were covered in snow from top to bottom. To be fair, they did try to shake off as much snow as possible. In addition to all of that, they kinda made a wreck out of the sled. Nothing that Puffy couldn’t fix, but it would be out of commission for at least a few hours.
“Just-” sigh “Play inside for a few hours? Please? While I go and fix the sled,”
“Yes, Ms. Puffy”
“Good,”
---
They sat on the first floor, laying on the ground, doing absolutely nothing.
Ranboo was sitting in an armchair, legs crossed, and his head resting on his fist. Tubbo had his back on the floor with the rest of his body propped up on an adjacent chair. Tommy was just splayed out on the carpet.
“Ranboo, I blame you for this,”
Ranboo start to protest but, “I- no what you’re kinda right,”
“I’m always right,”
Tubbo snorted.
. . .
“I’m boreeeed,” Tommy wined, drawing out the word for emphasis. And as if she had been summoned by his words, Niki peaked her head out from the kitchen.
“What did you guys do this time?” Niki said, leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. “Broke a sled,” Tubbo answered plainly.
“Ah, of course,” Niki sighed fondly. “Well, since you three are stuck in here for a while, why not help me with something?”
Tommy groaned at the idea of chores. Niki chuckled. “Don’t worry, it’ll be fun,”
“Oh, how the hell can chores be fun?” Tommy groaned.
“Mans got a point,” Tubbo piped in.
“Yeah,” Ranboo added.
“Well,” Niki said with a smile tugging on her lips. “I was thinking we could bake,”
Oh now this might not be a good idea. But this certainly will be fun.
---
Niki led them all into the kitchen and took charge. First, she had them all wash their hands, for at least two minutes. Next, she had tied and or pinned back their hair. Then, she threw some aprons on them.
Finally, they got to start baking. Niki got them to fetch all of the ingredients, as she prepped their cooking area. Niki got out a huge stand mixer from one of the cupboards. Tubbo made a mental note to check those latter. They each took turns measuring out an ingredient then dumped it in.
"Yeah!" Ranboo exclaimed when he got a clean egg crack. "Nailed it," Everyone chose to ignore the other completely shattered shells. They all laughed off his other shells as Tommy gave him a thumbs up.
Honestly, it was quite fun to see it all eventually blend together. Tommy personally liked how the sugar sparkled. Niki saw his fascination and made a mental note to make some rock candy with him later.
Niki plopped the ball of dough in a glass bowl. After struggling a bit, they covered the top with some plastic wrap.
"Now, we have to wait,"
As they waited for the cookie dough, they started making the icing. Niki decided to handle this part. However, the boys decided they wanted to add whipped cream.
"This is hard," Tommy said as he continued to beat. "Here, let me try," Ranboo offered. Tommy reluctantly let Ranboo take over. After a few minutes of, honestly aggressive whipping, he sighed in defeat.
Tubbo upon his turn however, had a great idea. He rummaged threw the draws till he found two other whisks.
"Oh god,"
---
"I . . . honestly should've seen this coming," Niki sighed, as she gathered some paper towels. Apparently, Tubbo thought it would be a good idea for them to all mix at the same time. Safe to say, it was a mess.
However, they had to admit it did kinda work. Niki handed them the paper towels to dry off the counter. She had made them wash up their mess.
“Tubbo, this is your fault,” Tommy muttered.
“Hey, but at least it worked right?”
“Well, you actually can’t argue with that,”
“Don’t fucking agree with him Ranboo,”
---
After a few hours, the dough was done chilling and was ready for shaping. Niki had already kneaded and prepped the dough for them. She decided to trust them on their own for this part.
They stamped out each figure and then rolled back up the extra. After cutting out the rest, they had 28 cookies. Tubbo was able to sneak some away to eat.
After around an hour of cooking and cooling, it was time for decoration. Or what they liked to call it: The great cookie war.
---
It started off as a simple contest: who could make the better cookie. The first theme was making themselves. However, Tubbo dropped his into a splat of red icing. “Oh god you killed him!” Ranboo said in mock shock.
“AAA! Tubbo what did you do?” Tommy followed along. Tubbo made a noise that sounded half like a sigh and half like a chuckle. “Mans a zombie!” Tubbo said, making the cookie waddle over to the rest.
“Rrrrruuuuggghhhh,” Tubbo groaned as his cookie swiped at the others.
“Oh god! RUN!” Ranboo said, hopping his cookie along. “AH!” Tommy followed along with his.
They hopped over whisks, icing bags, and rolling pins. “Ah!” Ranboo laughed out. He dove behind a log of dough. “Ranboo!” Tommy said as he followed behind.
Tubbo pretended to make his ‘zombie cookie’ search for them.
“Ok, ok, Ranboo? Ranboo, I have a-” He took a quick glance at the taller boy. Tubbo’s cookie took this moment to turn to the lump of dough. Ranboo and Tommy held their breath. Tubbo made a show of flipping his pastry from left to right. Fortunately, Tubbo made his cookie search ahead.
Tommy let out a sigh of relief. “Ok, ok, Ranboo, I have an idea,” Ranboo looked as though to have an expression of relief and god damn fear.
Ranboo decided to give in and listen. After all, it was just a game, right?
---
Ok so maybe throwing kitchen ingredients wasn’t such a good idea. Just maybe. Baking flour was thrown in little handfuls. Each of them had plenty of powder dusted across their face and clothes. Tommy and Ranboo had decided to team up this time.
“Tommy! Wait!” Ranboo yelped. He grabbed Tommy’s arm and yanked out of the way. “Oi! No far!”
Tommy was breathing hard from exhaustion. “Thank you Ranboo,”
Their battle lasted a few more minutes. Everytime Tubbo grabbed another handful of flour, Tommy or Ranboo would get shoved, yanked, or shielded from danger.
“Gah!”
Ranboo blocked the on coming hit with his arms. “Ranboo! Watch out!” Tommy yelled. Ranboo ducked to the floor just in the nick of time. Tommy ran in front and squeezed a bag of frosting. Mint green covered Tubbo’s face.
Tubbo made a surprised noise. He scooped off some of the frosting off his face. Tommy let out something of a cross of a sigh and a chuckle. Both corners of their mouths started to quirk up. Those smiles burst into fits of laughter. Ranboo took this as a que that everything was fine.
All of their laughs echoed through the orphanage. However, this attracted the attention of another. She naively thought that maybe they were laughing at something mundane. Maybe one of them made a derpy frosting face. Maybe one of them made a silly design.
She hoped that it was the case. But a part of her knew better. Niki prepared herself for a honestly horrific sight. She turned the corner and her jaw dropped open.
“Oh, my, god,”
---
And of course, all of them were scolded and grounded. They were made to clean the entire kitchen, top to bottom. Then they had to pay from their own pocket to replace the ingredients they wasted.
But oddly enough, they decided before their fight to finish decorating the cookies. The batch was honestly quite nice. Multiple different designs using many techniques. From sweaters and snowglobes to the orphanage caretakers and their fellow kids.
---
They soon had dinner with everyone else. Soon it was time for bed. However, Tubbo felt as though they had barely done anything. Yeah, they had fun, but Tommy and Ranboo had barely seen any of the joys of winter.
Tubbo swung his legs over the edge of the bed. He tiptoed quietly to his dresser. Tubbo threw on some shoes, a jacket, and other attire. He then made his way to Tommy’s bed. “Tommy,” He whispered. No response.
“Tommy,” He whispered a little louder.
“Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, Tommy!” Tubbo finally whisper yelled.
“What? Wh- yawn what?” Tommy finally answered.
“Come on!” Tubbo said quietly, tugging on his arm. “Wh- oh no, please don’t tell me we have a mission to do,” Tommy begged.
“No of course not!,”
“Then why did you wake me up?”
“Come on! It’s the perfect time to play in the snow!”
Tommy stared at him. His look was enough to ask “Are you serious?” Tommy blinked a few times, then curled back up into bed.
“No! Come on please?”
Tommy rolled back over to face Tubbo. They stared at each other before Tommy finally gave in. He sighed saying “Fine, but on if Ranboo is coming along too,”
“Yay!”
Tommy grumbled a bit but, as expected, got up and started pulling on a jacket. Tubbo decided to spare no more time and shook Ranboo awake. Ranboo blearily pried open his eyes. He took one look at Tubbo’s expression, and buried himself in his blanket.
“Oh come on Ranboo! Tommy’s even coming,”
“Mh, nu,”
Tommy was finally done getting ready. “Come on Ranboo, don’t be a pussy,”
Ranboo decided to finally get up. He made grabby hands to the ceiling. Tubbo took the right hand and Tommy took the left. They dragged him out and Ranboo landed on the floor. They all snickered at this before Tubbo threw a jacket at Ranboo’s face.
Ranboo tugged it on before turning and asking them a question. “So how are we gonna sneak out the front door and back?”
“Oh, oh, right,” Tubbo chuckled.
“What? What is it?”
Tommy was flexing his finger and securing a more high quality pair of gloves. Black rock climbing gloves.
Oh wait.
“Please don’t tell me we’re going through the window,” Yet just as he said that, Tommy opened the window. Damn hell.
---
A cold chill blew through the room. “Um, how are we gonna get down?” Ranboo asked, fearing the answer.
“Well, your wings, and we have our hands,” Tubbo said. “Oh,” Ranboo said, pleasantly surprised by his option. But then he remembered the other two.
“Wait, but are you guys gonna be ok?”
“I appreciate your concern bossman, but we got this, plus I can catch Tommy,” Tubbo added
“Hey!-”
“Bye!” Tubbo leaped out the window. His hand caught a brick just in time. This definitely hurt quite a bit, but it probably made a nice dramatic exit.
Tommy followed behind. He crawled out the window much more carefully than Tubbo. He had gotten a lot better at climbing, but he did not have the same level of skill.
Tubbo quickly made it down, sometimes skipping a few footings. Tommy scaled the rest of the way.
“Come on boob boy!” Tommy yelled.
“That’s not my name!”
Ranboo had bundled up his jacket in his arms. His ombre wings glimmered in the very limited light. He shimmed his wings through the window. Balancing on the very edge, he spread his wings and gilded gracefully down to the snow.
As Ranboo pulled back his jacket, Tubbo dropped down and started gathering snow.
“No- Tubbo, why don’t we go to the front?” Tommy asked.
“No but then they’ll know,”
“Oh, no- yeah, you’re right,”
Tubbo explained to the others what he was doing. Ranboo didn’t really understand why, but decided to anyway. It was kinda calming.
It was him and his best friends. His jacket was just enough to keep him warm. The snow glistened and crunched. Ranboo engaged in some light conversation.
Soon enough, they had three balls of snow. They were a little lumpy, but it’d work. “Ranboo, can you help me out with this part?”
“Oh sure,”
Ranboo walked over and helped lift one of the balls on top of the other.
"So Ranboo, how are you liking earth so far?" Tubbo asked.
"Um, well . . ." Ranboo didn't really know how to put it into words. "Well, I do really, really, like it here. Um, everyone here is really nice? And uh, well, I made friends with you two,"
"No, like, tell me every feeling,"
"Um, what?"
"Just like ramble man,"
Oh. Well, he was trying not to make it awkward. But now he seemed to not have that choice any more. But then again, Tubbo was his friend. So why not go at it.
"Well, 'like' is kinda an understatement. I and well, I just freaking love it here. I feel as though I really belong. I'm just- what I wanted to say is that- I just want to spend as much time with you guys as possible. I'm really gonna miss you all when I have to leave, and I just care about you guys a lot,"
Tubbo was finally satisfied by this answer. Ranboo liked that Tubbo wanted to listen to him.
Ranboo had finally lifted the last ball on top. To be honest, he had no idea what the hell he made, but ok.
"Ranboo! Tubbo!" Both heard from behind him. Tommy came running along with a bundle of rocks and sticks in his arms. Ranboo was about to speak (of course about the sticks). But Tubbo beat him to it. (But not confused for some reason.)
"Oh! You got the decorations!" Tubbo said excited but a tad bit surprised. Decorations?
"How did you know what we were making?" Tubbo asked, handling some of the decor for him. “I thought you never had a snow day before?”
"I saw someone in a show do it, so I put two and two together," Tommy explained.
Tubbo walked over to Ranboo. He then dumped a handful of stones into his hands. “Well, since you’re the tallest, go put on the face,”
“What- hold on I still don’t know what we’re doing though!” Ranboo reminded.
“Oh, oh yeah! Sorry bossman, we’re basically just making a person but out of snow,”
“Isn’t that kinda creepy?” Ranboo said, turning to face their creation. It didn’t really look like a person to him. It looked more like three balls of snow.
“Well, I mean, he does kinda have a point,” Tommy backed up.
“No it’s supposed to be this cute little thing that kids make! Does it even look creepy?” Tubbo gesterarded towards the snowman.
Tommy and Ranboo stared at it for a few moments, before nodding.
“Well, it’ll look better once we put on decorations!” Tubbo said surely.
---
They spent some more time sticking in the various pieces of nature. They each added their own little touch. Tommy gave his hat, Ranboo gave his gloves, and Tubbo gave his scarf.
It came out pretty good. The face might be a little crooked, but it was a pretty good snowman. By this point, it was around one AM. The trio still had some energy to climb back up the window. Tommy did have a little bit of trouble getting up.
His hands slipped a few times from the ice. Tommy even almost fell, but Ranboo caught him in time.
While yes it was late, Tubbo still wanted to do just one more thing before sleep. After shaking off the snow, Tubbo brought out his laptop and loaded up a classic.
‘The Polar Express®’
Even though Tubbo had watched this movie over and over, (He would bet one hundred bucks that he could recite it from memory) he wanted the others to watch too. (Plus, he could maybe threaten them with spoilers.)
---
Tubbo eyelids felt heavy as tried to stay awake for the end. He wanted to see the kids finally meet Santa Claus. Three best friends. Sure, they didn’t know each other for long, but they were friends. They cared for each other. They bonded. They were friends.
Kinda reminded them of each other.
Before closing his eyes, he murmured “You guys are my best friends . . . I love you both,” Tubbo said, falling asleep.
Before falling asleep he heard “Same man, same,”
Tommy’s voice
“Yeah, you guys are the best”
Ranboo.
A smile lingered on his face as Tubbo shut his eyes to the sound of laughter.
