Chapter Text
( Merry Christmas, I tried writing something, thought it would be humorous to do beauty and the beast but scum villan.)
UPDATE: I've started rewriting some of the chapters due to grammar issues
CHAPTER ONE
In the borderlands, there is a dirt path that follows a rift in the Endless Abyss, barely snaking around steep cliffs and rotting fields. Once home to wondrous creatures, the landscape now bears the marks of the demon realm's leaking malice. While it's believed that a great battle between the old cultivator sects and the demon armies caused this destruction, the truth is that it's a result of time and neglect. This land now only harbors the unspeakable horrors that crawl their way up from the abyss.
Unexpectedly, a small black dog was struggling along the path. It was an unusual sight, as it could have easily been mistaken for one of the beloved pets of noble ladies at court, except for the obvious red glowing sigil on its forehead that gave away its demonic origins.
As fate would have it, the Almighty and Ever Powerful Heavenly Demon Heir, Master of the Abyss, Chosen of Xin Mo, and Soon-to-be Conqueror of all the Demon Realm was, in fact, a hound. Two days prior, Luo Binghe had set out to search for an artifact that could amplify Yin Energy and was led to a liminal pocket dimension that emanated a powerful aura not of nether demonic or human origin. It was something far more ancient than even the first fallen demon, trapped in an unconscious state since the fall of the first Heavenly Demon. Its kin's corpses formed the very fabric of the abyss. However, this old god was not one for dealing with the mortal realm's nonsense, and certainly not a morning person. So when confronted with a rage-filled child wielding a cursed sword, it used one of its random curses to quickly rid itself of the nuisance.
All that Luo Binghe could recall was the void of existence and the overwhelming presence of something beyond his comprehension. He swiftly descended into unconsciousness and upon awakening, found himself having lost everything once again. It was certainly disconcerting and humiliating for Luo Binghe, especially given this unfamiliar new form. A weaker part of him wanted to plead and cry. For a second, he was in the abyss again, and he was still a confused little disciple who had just been abandoned by the one person he respected the most. Except that child had long been dead. He was a revenant, a monster raised by the abyss that lived with the sole purpose of bringing misery to all that it touched. He had long been a beast, and if he was a dog, then so be it. He was situated to this and even adjusted quickly. Though his powers and words were gone, he still had his own assets that kept him safe. The monsters that had tried to take a bite of him soon learned that it was better to leave the small dog alone as it had poison and could still take out the jugular and vital points on any predator.
He would persist because he had to. He would find a way back to the cultivation world. There were still debts that needed to be paid. His form might even be an advantage. Cultivator or not, who could resist an abandoned puppy? He kept on going forward on the road, playing the role of a desperate injured animal.
After a day of searching, he finally came across a faint silhouette of an elegant man in front of him. He wore plain bamboo green robes but was attractive enough. And if the outline of a sword gave any indication, it seemed Binghe had a powerful friend to go make. Thus, the fearsome four-legged demon lord began to make a loud whining noise, one that would surely make a soft heart ache.
