Chapter Text
Not to long ago in a small bustling village of the Golden Cheese Kingdom lived a large noble family. The Blue Cheese family had lived in that area for generations, they were the landlords of the entire area, and were responsible for the town. They were for the most part, well liked, and considered generous compared to the other nobles.
The current head of the family, Blue Cheese Cookie the Fourth, was a kind man. His wife, Pepper Jack Cheese Cookie, was considered one of the most beautiful women in the Golden Cheese Kingdom. They had 4 children. Two boys, a girl, and an intersex child. The eldest boy was engaged to the princess of the Golden Cheese Kingdom, arranged by his parents from the moment he was born, bearing his father's name, he is the most intelligent of the children.
Oxford Bleu, the second son of the family, was known as a prankster and a delinquent. He did not care for his social status nor his families money. His dream was to move to a far away kingdom, it did not matter which, and live as a simple craftsman with no pressure of nobility baring over him. He however was put in an arranged marriage with a girl from another high ranking noble family, he never accepted this as long as he lived.
The third child, Roquefort, their parents were not exactly sure what to do with. They couldn't marry them off like the other children, until they were approached by House Madeline about giving them their son Madeline Cookie as a suitor to the then 4 year old Roquefort. Both children were respectively 5 and 4 when this marriage was decided, and they found eachothers company enjoyable, as friends. Madeline was thankful his parents didn't make him marry a woman, and Roquefort was thankful their future spouse was around the same age and had similar interests to them.
The youngest child was the only girl, Colby Jack Cheese Cookie was the only one who took after her mother. She spent her time at balls and banquets avoiding suitors and sneaking off with her elder sibling Roquefort. Those two were quite inseparable, Colby Jack at times people would whisper that Pepper Jack must have had an affair, as Colby looks nothing like her father! But if she is or is not will never be known.
On that fateful day, Roquefort was out playing in the town with a group of children past their curfew again, disguised as a commoner. At around Midnight, with the full moon shining in the sky above him he snuck through the forest to return home, only to find the Blue Cheese Manor had been set on fire. His family was all sleeping inside besides one. Colby Jack was looking at him from her window on the 5th story of the building, flames surrounding her from her burning room. As Roquefort approached she screamed down at him "Run, Roquefort! You need to live on! Run!!"
They didn't listen, and began climbing the wall to try to reach Colby Jack as she continued yelling at him to leave her there, it was too late, and they would only get hurt. Sadly, she was correct as Roquefort slipped and hit the ground with a grotesque crack, and they could no longer move their lower left leg. She yelled again to run, crying. And they got up, and limped away into the forest as fast as they could as the flames swallowed their dear sister whole.
The next day every resident of the manor was declared dead.

No servants died in the fire, one former employee was missing and pronounced dead a month later.
But Roquefort did not die, they escaped. So who did they mistake for them?
A young servant boy with a similar frame to Roquefort had decided to stay late that night to finish up some work, and was caught in the fire. Due to a rushed investigation, nobody noticed that the body was not a match.
A young boy aspiring to be a detective watched the scene from a distance, and took photos of all the evidence he could. Maybe one day he will solve this case.

Chapter Text
It's dark. And silent. It seems it is all over isn't it? She barely even lived a life, but as she sat in an empty void, she was mostly satisfied with the life she had lived.
Tick, tock, tick, tock. She heard a clock ticking, but from where?
A soft whirring noise, the same one she had heard in her room before her death started.
And then… a piano. Slowly, gently, began to play.
A pair of golden scissors appeared before her, it was a family heirloom her mother had stored in her room, The Sonic Embroider they were called, her mother had said.
A voice spoke "Hello, there is no need to fear, you will not be alone, you have a very important role to play from now on. I'm glad you have returned."
She looked around, wondering who was there before looking at the scissors and asked "Did… you talk to me?" She was curious, she knew pets could talk, but not objects.
"Yes little one, I am the Sonic Embroider, and I will be in your care from this point forward." The scissors flew in a circle around her.
She was confused, but glad someone friendly was there, she looked around, it was still dark, but the whirring had stopped. The clock and piano continued softly in the distance and the scissors spoke again
"You need to let go of the past and forget everything you know. Colby Jack Cheese Cookie is dead. You are not her."
She turned to the scissors "Then… who am I? And what is this place?"
The scissors spoke gently "Your name… is Timekeeper Cookie. And this is the beginning of time. Welcome home, Timekeeper."
