Collected Miscellany: Reignited Luminescence

Summary:

An optional subpiece for To Save a Falling Star.
If you haven't read the main piece yet, this is going to make absolutely zero sense.

This specifically will go more into detail on Lumine's new arm abilities, as well as the Void element that I use in the story.

Chapter 1: Collected Miscellany - "Lumine: Descended Starlight" | Genshin Impact

Chapter Text

Though not unheard of, Travelers from other worlds are seen as a rarity in the lands of Teyvat.

While some have brought nothing but sorrow and chaos, others chose to fight for the good of its people, no matter the cost.

And though I doubt the Traveler Lumine expected to find herself at the business end of her brother's blade, it has only steeled her resolve even further.

Everywhere she goes, she touches the lives of all who have the fortune of meeting her. And though she came here with one purpose, she refuses to let the forces of evil go unchallenged.

But now that Aether is included in those forces, how will Lumine redefine her purpose in this brave new world?

"The Abyss taught him to hate, but Teyvat taught me to love."

Lumine had to reforge her combative skills after the incident, yet the people of Teyvat were more than happy to help her start over.

In a short period of time, she learned the ways of this land's best warriors, and has yet again become a formidable adversary to the Abyss.

Lumine now has mastery over a plethora of combative styles and weapons, giving her great adaptability within the battlefield to fill any role she requires.

And when she summons the Alchemists' Hypostasis Gauntlet, her Visionless Elemental prowess becomes a force of pure devastation.

Expedition Talent | Elemental's Chosen

When Lumine is in your party, all characters' Elemental Skills gain one Level, dealing increased damage as a result.

Lumine was formerly adept with a longsword, but with the help of her friends, she has learned to use a bow as well as a claymore.

Normal Attack | Guhua-Kamisato Art: Ironwind

When equipped with a Longsword, Lumine's Normal Attacks perform up to five consecutive strikes, dealing Physical Damage.

Holding the attack button consumes a set amount of stamina to perform the Iai technique, unleashing a series of Blade Winds that deal Physical Damage to enemies.

After unlocking Lumine's Talent, "Infused Strikes," the last attack in her Light Combo will release a blade of Elemental Energy, dealing damage that matches her current attunement.
This damage scales with her Elemental Mastery.

Normal Attack | Torrenting Flare-Up

When equipped with a Bow, Lumine can perform up to six consecutive shots, dealing Physical Damage.

Holding the attack button executes a more precise aimed shot, dealing increased Elemental Damage based on Lumine's attunement.

After unlocking Lumine's Talent, "Infused Strikes," Lumine's Charged Arrows can deal additional Elemental Damage that is randomized to her unattuned Elements, causing a free Elemental Reaction.
This damage scales with her Elemental Mastery.

Normal Attack | Ocean-Club Legend

When equipped with a Claymore, Lumine can combo up to four consecutive strikes, dealing Physical Damage.

By using Charged Attacks, Lumine will switch to her personal Kanabou Club, and perform Stormbreaking Kesagiri slashes, consuming Stamina over time and dealing increased Physical Damage.

After unlocking Lumine's Talent, "Infused Strikes," Lumine fortifies herself with her attuned Element, granting her resistance to interruption when performing Stormbreaking Kesagiri slashes.

Elemental Skill | Windblade, Starfell Sword, Lightning Blade

Thanks to the talented craftsmanship of her friends in Mondstadt, Lumine's Crystalline Prosthetic can easily replicate her former Elemental Skills.

"Brachium Arcesso!"

Elemental Burst | Hypostasis Gauntlet

By speaking her specialized command phrase, Lumine summons the almighty Hypostasis Gauntlet, dealing AoE Elemental Damage based on her attunement, using the weaponized prosthetic in combat for a certain duration afterward.

While the Hypostasis Gauntlet is active, Lumine's Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks will be regarded as Elemental Burst Damage, and will be infused with Elemental Damage based on her attunement, which cannot be overridden.

While in this state, Lumine's resistance to interruption is increased, and thanks to the Gauntlet's absorptive properties, she is immune to Elemental Reaction damage.

After unlocking the talent "Alchemical Boons," Lumine will consume a random Hypostasis Ascension Material, and deal additional Elemental Damage with the corresponding Element. This additional damage scales with her Elemental Mastery. If Lumine possesses no Hypostasis Ascension Materials, the additional damage will match her current attunement.

Lumine is an inspirational hero for all of Teyvat, and her Visionless command of the Elements is a wonderous sight to behold, making her the perfect inspiring leader in combat. This allows her party members to use their Elemental Skills with increased effectiveness, as well as empowering Lumine's own destructive Elemental force.

In combat, Lumine uses her Elemental Skill as normal, to either group enemies, recharge energy, or provide cover and elevation for her teammates.

Once her allies set up enough Elemental Reactions with their Skills, summon the Hypostasis Gauntlet to unleash devastating attacks on your enemies, triggering powerful Elemental Reactions along the way to decimate any foe in your way.

After waking up over a year ago, Lumine has accomplished many things in her journey across Teyvat, and earned many titles.

Honorary Knight, Hero of Mondstadt, Savior of Liyue Harbor, Slayer of Dragons, even Captain of Swordfish II, to name a few.

But the Traveler still has a long road and winding road ahead of her, especially with her own brother now seeking to destroy her.

Now, Lumine must reconsider what her purpose is in this world, and who she will fight for if not her own blood.

Perhaps, she will choose to fight for the love she claims to have learned from Teyvat's people.

Or, she will eventually succumb to the darkness that claimed her dear twin.

Regardless, all eyes have fallen on Lumine, including my own.

I hope that she will choose differently from the Abyss Prince.
