Chapter Text
Matt:
“Good morning sunshine!” That was Matt's favorite word, sunshine, he could feel happiness in his bones when he heard it. Matt could hear his own heartbeat when Foggy said it, but that was something everyone could experience, not just a man with “your freaky super senses” as Foggy so often says. If only he could hear it other than when he was running late to a meeting.
They had two meetings that morning, it was considered one of their busy days. Karen had drawn their calendar on a whiteboard for the office, it had all their new meetings and court dates and what have you, it was really only for Foggy. Matt liked how it made Foggy giggle when Karen would draw new doodles next to the times and days. Matt could only guess what it looked like from Foggy's bad descriptions, but Matt loved it because he did.
Foggy:
He wished that Matt couldn’t hear his heartbeat, that he could know what was going on with Foggy's body chemistry and feelings by the bpm. He tries not to get too excited when Matt brushes his waist or grabs his shoulder. He was normally fine if Matt was holding on to the crook of his elbow or any other friendly blind man touches. Foggy hated that Matt could find out that he’s been crushing on him since law school, with his goddamn freaky super senses.
This morning foggy had to wake Matt up with a phone call again, he probably forgot to set his alarm while he was hobbling back into his apartment with a broken rib or whatever new damn injury he’s acquired. Foggy constantly thinks back to Matt on that rooftop when he's not answering his phone or he’s a little too late to work. He can finally relax when Matt answers his phone in the morning.
“Good morning sunshine!”
“Fogs?
Thank the lord he’s alive, he sounds like he's been hit by a 18 wheeler, there is a chance that’s what it could have been. Foggy’s relief is multiplied when he hears Matt’s voice, he loves it when Matt calls him Fogs, if he were in the room with him Matt could’ve heard foggy's heart rate increase. Can he hear heartbeats through the phone? Foggy sat and thought as he told Matt to get his ass to work no matter how much of it was damaged or missing. They've got some work to do, and people to help.
