Summary
Rick Sanchez was finally trying to be a better man, trying to let things go and be more present, for himself and for his family. It was going well- until the search for Rick Prime and exacting his revenge was reignited. His mission for revenge was tearing him apart and leading him to dead ends, putting more stress on him and his family than he could have imagined. The search had gone cold until Xio, and a few more iterations of them had come into his sights.
Xio was tired of living life on the run, but settling down was worse. Still, they found a lick of stability and stuck to it, until the night they met Rick at the Black Flask. The opportunity to see the universe was too good to pass up, and the longer they spent with Rick, the harder it became to imagine life without him in it.
The meeting between the two of them was less than a coincidence, but patterns found across dimensions were never insignificant. As the duo explores the Finite Curve and learn more about each other, they find that some things were always meant to be.
