Summary
When a huge sex scandal slams Hollywood, A-list actor and playful charmer Jun Li is arrested alongside dozens of other high profile celebrities. The evidence against him makes reputable attorneys hard to even get on the phone, let alone hire. After he finally meets with a reputable and utterly impassive lawyer known as Kai Shen, it takes an unwitting show of goodness from Jun to get him on the case.
They barely have time to establish a rapport before constant media harassment leaves Jun nowhere to hide. Kai, a New York based lawyer staying in a house provided by his firm, offers Jun the second bedroom seemingly despite himself.
Jun doesn't think much of it at first. He answers Kai's questions during the day, stays out of his business at night. But as stress and general boredom escalates, things turn strange in different ways. Some are absurd, like his growing fascination with Kai's cold personality. Others are more...unsettling. His emotions spike out of nowhere. Familiar surroundings feel foreign to the point of alienation. And if he gets to the bottom of anything outside his legal case, it'll be those powerful nightmares of two faceless boys plummeting from a jagged cliff.
