Chapter Text
You quickly sneaked into a room that was the closest to you. Trying your best to avoid being detected whilst slowly closing the door behind you.
You tried your best to fit into the darkest corner of the room. Moving boxes around your body whilst making sure it wasn’t suspiciously placed. You quickly moved your hands over your mouth to muffle your breathing, hopefully ensuring the beast wouldn’t hear you.
But then again, what if it saw you entering the room?
God damn… Too many thoughts at a time and not that much time to think either.
Then suddenly, everything came to a halt as the door was being ripped apart.
The monster’s claws scratched through the door, the noise being made was like nails on a chalkboard but it was a fucking door instead! Splinters landed on the ground and more banging on the door came out.
After the door was mangled into pieces, it entered through the empty doorway.
You tried to stay quiet, it's better to not panic and stay calm.
The beast inspected the room. Standing still but still examining the room around itself.
*Come on… Come on Y/N… Calm down. You can make it.”
You told yourself, holding onto the thought that you’ll survive. Hopefully, it’ll just be stupid and just leave.
But your train of thought was stopped, its footsteps walked up to you and knocked over the boxes you were hiding behind. You were exposed.
It pulled you by your shirt, you shrieked and it threw you to the ground.
It stood tall over you, its long black, red-stained cloak covering its body and face except for its purple eyes. Its purple pupils and black scleras were fixated on your terrified face.
It raised its arm, ready to strike.
You raised your hand up, trying to signal for it to stop.
Maybe it listened? Or maybe it just wanted to play with you a little bit more. You eventually found the words to beg for your life.
“WAIT! WAIT!”
You needed to catch your breath. You were in a flight or fight response.
“I… I don’t think I can really make it out... But please, I don’t wanna die.”
You managed to start calming down a little bit. But your voice was still very shaky.
It put its arm down. It tilted its head.
Maybe it had empathy. But no, it wanted something out of you definitely.
“Wh- what do you want?
I… I don’t have anything to give you.”
You said as you quivered. You placed your hands on the ground as you tried to back into a wall.
It placed its bird-like foot on your chest so you weren’t able to move.
It nodded while it glared out of the door and then back at you.
“Wh- what?”
You were confused. You didn’t know what it wanted. It wanted you to stay in the room of course, or maybe it wanted you to run. But so far, everyone that was chased by it was attacked on sight. No quarter was given to its past victims.
So it didn’t want you to put up a fight.
“Oh…
Do you want… To know where everyone else is?”
You gulped.
You didn’t want anyone to die, but did it matter? These are complete strangers and you don’t know their background. What if one of them was a drug dealer to middle schoolers or something like that?
But it nodded, this fucking reeks.
“Uhm…”
“I think… One is at house -… House 125.”
Your eyes grew wide, and you felt your heart drop.
You can’t believe you’re doing this. This is stupidly selfish.
“This is house -… Uhm…”
“You can check for the number. I don’t remember. Just please don’t hurt me.”
There was so much regret going on in your head. The monster above you moved its foot off your chest and started to walk out of the room while it looked behind itself at you.
You started to stand up slowly. But it quickly went back to you and pushed you to the ground while planting its hand on your chest.
It made a quiet, yet aggressive trill while it did so. Glaring at your eyes and even getting on your height.
It wanted you to stay. You should listen if you want to get out alive.
You stayed put, next to the closed locker. You sat next to it while making yourself as small as possible.
It nodded as it looked at you, pulling its hand back and giving you a thumbs up. Then running out of the room and out of the house.
…
You heard a scream a few minutes later. You were right, they were still there.
You closed your eyes, it just suddenly clicked to you that you sacrificed somebody else for yourself.
This fucking sucked, but it was unlikely it would have spared you any other way.
But then again, why didn’t you run? Or maybe… No… You could've run away. You wouldn’t die, you could've survived.
There’s no telling what it's going to do. It's probably just...
Oh… How did you not notice it in front of you?
It stood tall, and broad over you. Dripping with blood, plastered all over its body.
Its hand reached to you, to your neck to lift you up and over its shoulder.
It made it seem so easy to lift you. But its grip was tight around you.
You couldn't struggle, you tried to but every doing so would barely make you squirm. And even when you tried, the monster would growl lowly.
There was no use in struggling,
whatever happened next, that would be your fault.

Chapter Text
It had you on its shoulder for God knows how long, it felt like an eternity.
So many thoughts went through your head, what if you did this or that, questioning your own intelligence, and your morality.
Nevertheless, you will just have to see what will happen.
…
Long, painful minutes passed. It felt like hours to you.
It made it to a run-down cabin in the woods. The wooden boards were busted, the nails rusty and bent on the grass. It's probably been here for a while and possibly taken from a previous owner.
Or maybe this creature was more sophisticated than you thought. Maybe it built the cabin completely by itself?
As it carried you into the cabin. You instantly noticed the cabin had a rotting stench, though, it wasn’t that major. The boards had large cracks so fresh air could come in, but the stench was still strong.
It carried you into a room with a small mattress with a blanket and a table. The table had a lantern with a dying light, and an object next to it. But you couldn’t make out what it was as your view was obscured by the monster’s thick clothing.
It rested you down on the bedding, it was surprisingly gentle. Dropping you down gracefully and making sure you weren’t hurt.
You huddled into the corner of the room as you were on the bed. You were still scared of what could happen.
But the beast walked away from you and to the table in the room.
You couldn’t do much though. You were stuck, the monster wouldn’t let you leave probably. Not after what happened in the house.
But you just gotta bite the bullet.
This was your fate as soon as you sold out your teammate.
But as you lost your train of thought, you didn’t even pay attention to what it was doing at the table.
It approached you and stood over you.
You looked up at it, and it had something in its hand. When you did that, it crouched down to your height. Offering you the object.
It was a teddy bear. A brown bear with a big pink, plastic heart on its chest.
You were surprised. Maybe this monster had compassion.
It hasn’t done anything to harm you physically, or mentally.
Well, maybe not that much.
You ended up taking the teddy bear, holding it, and examining it.
You were intimidated by the monster, but you decided to look up at its face.
“Th-thank you.”
You thanked it, your voice was still timid and you were surprised. What was this gift for?
It simply bowed and it made a small purr after you thanked it. It got up and it turned around from you. As it walked out, you noticed it taking off its shirt. But you couldn’t see it completely take it off before it closed the door behind itself.
It was getting late. Maybe you should rest.
You hugged the teddy bear and laid on the mattress. Covering yourself up with the blanket and staying close to the wall.
You’ll think about this in the morning.
…
You woke up to the sounds of an animal dying. Its screams blare throughout the forest.
That woke you up very quickly. Pumping you full of adrenaline and sitting you up almost instantly.
But once you calmed down, realizing that an animal died. Your adrenaline passed and you then felt a few mild sores on your shoulders and hip.
It wasn’t the most comfortable sleep of your life, but this was better than being dead or being in the forest alone.
You stretched and rubbed the areas on your body that ached. It helped somewhat.
You looked around a little bit, the monster was nowhere in sight. You placed the teddy bear that was in your arms on the bed and got out of the bed.
After you stood up, you noticed some words on the walls.
You walked to them, one of them read in faded, purple text
“??/??
SOMETHING HAPPENED
I CAN’T SCREAM NOR EXPRESS MY ANGER VERBALLY
I HAVE AN URGE TO HURT
WHAT AM I NOW? WHAT HAPPENED TO THE MAN NAMED JACK ZORRO”
This was… Off-putting. And a lot more text like this was on the walls.
But your thoughts were ended by a door opening, it was…
It was who you thought was Jack. You walked to the other room to see what he was doing.
He was carrying a dead deer. It was a big one as well!
You haven’t seen animals in this area ever since chaos broke loose, but there’s a new to everything you suppose.
Regardless, you greeted him.
“Good morning– erm… Jack.”
You said hesitantly. You didn’t know if that would piss him off.
He snapped his head to you, causing you to jump slightly in surprise. The monster raised one of his eyebrows curiously while tilting his head down slightly making eye contact.
“I… I saw what you wrote on the wall.”
You established shakily. Worrying about what would be Jack’s reaction. To your surprise, he simply nodded and put the deer on another table nearby.
Jack then began to undress, starting with his shirt and cloak. Setting them on the ground.
He didn’t waste any time before grabbing a nearby seemingly homemade butcher’s knife and cutting the deer into pieces. Devoiding its attachments to its limbs and head. Throwing those parts on the side of the bloody table.
He grabbed a knife soon after and began to make careful movements with the knife to skin the torso.
Once he finished with the skin, he put it on the pile of dismembered limbs. He soon cut open the raw meat. Taking out the organs and setting them aside on the table as well. Making sure nothing was inside it.
It was an interesting process. He seemed so human as well as him being very expressive.
Plus his physique. He wasn’t the buffest man in the world, but he still had some bulk.
But you were knocked out of your daydream. You realized where your mind lingered and snapped the fuck out real quick.
Jack was looking at you. Gesturing at the food as he looked at the firepit nearby.
He probably just wanted to know if you were hungry.
And you were. You have not eaten in a while.
You replied with a “Yes” very quickly. Plus, there was going to be a lot of meat for the both of you.
…
After Jack finished cooking the meat, he offered you a few pieces of it.
You decided to take the pieces and scarfed them down as soon as he looked away.
He noticed you eating like a bear. Instead of making a remark he simply just made a low, raspy chuckle, and ate some of the pieces himself. Like a calm gentleman of sorts. He seemed to be the type of person to be all prim and proper at a restaurant or something… Oh God damn it.
At this rate, you couldn’t tell if the smell of the cabin was getting to you, or if you were genuinely going insane. But you were having a liking towards him?
No, get those thoughts outta your head! You’re a human, and he was a monster who slaughtered people. Not that they really meant much to you but a part of you couldn’t help but still feel bad for them. You sighed quietly as you remembered your betrayal.
But it still felt so right. Wrong but so enticing.
You definitely want to spend more time with Jack. Get to know him a little bit more since you’re going to be here for a while.
