Summary
She is grinning again, her eyes full of secret smile. She is pretending to be drunk, but Laurie has been watching her the entire night and knows she’s not.
“I wasn’t paying attention,” Laurie admits.
“I am very distracting,” Mira says, half-slurred.
“You are.”
It’s out before she can stop it.
She looks up. She thinks she sees Mira’s eyes flit to her mouth, and then back up, and then Laurie knows what’s gonna happen before it’s even happening.
