Chapter 1: What is happening?

Chapter Text

The weather outside was grey and rainy. Dean was sitting inside a diner that he had found at the side of the street in the middle of the woods. He stared out of the window, one hand hovered over his flat stomach while he was lost in thoughts.

Two days ago, he and Sam went on a hunt, but now he’s sitting here, alone. What happened?

Sam found the witch because of a girl which had lost all her teeth while she was on a party. When someone found her on the toilet her eyes were ripped out of her head, just like her tongue.

With that they drove their and like always they played FBI, were doing researches and finally found here. But she expected them. Dean was the first one who got into the old house in the middle of nowhere. Kicking the door open he found the woman sitting in a circle made out of blood, candles standing in smaller circles around her. Her eyes were golden and with just a flip of her hand Dean was glued to the wall. Sam, who had been right behind him, started to shoot at her but the bullets never actually met her and disappeared on their way to her head heart and. The next thing Dean knew was that Sam flew against him and … disappeared. With a huge grin on her face the witch came towards him until she was standing right in front of him. She moved her hand (with really long and disgusting fingernails) over his face and said, “See you again, when you survive.” Then he woke up in his motel bed. Sam gone.

Now he was back on the way to the bunker. He had spoken onto Cas mailbox and hoped the angel was on the way back, too.

He knew Sam wasn’t in the old town anymore, but where was he? And what did she mean with survive? Did she curse him? Or Sam?

A young woman ripped him out of his thoughts when she came up to him with the bill. With a little smile he laid the money on the table and got out into the rain.

While going over to his car he noticed a man coming up to him from behind. Gun ready he turned around to find Cas standing right behind him.

“Cas? What the hell!? Don’t come up to me like that I could have shot you!”

“Sorry, Dean. I found your location over your phone, so I thought it would be easier if we met here bevor we get to the bunker… and those bullets can’t hurt me. How do you feel?”

With a roll of his eyes, Dean put the gun away and answered, “Tired, and wet.” He looked up in the sky, letting the raindrops hit his closed eyes.

“Do you remember what happened? Something she said or a way she moved. Do you have an idea what happened?”

“No, no and no. Like I said Cas, I don’t know. That was the reason why I called you”, Dean grumbled looking at his face again and without thinking one of his hands rubbed over his stomach again.

“Are you in pain?” Cas furrowed his eyebrows and Dean’s face softened.

“No, why?” Cas pointed to his stomach.

“This is the third time you rub a hand over you belly since you came out of the diner.” Cas pointed out which made Dean’s cheek flush in a light pink.

“I-I did? I mean I caught myself doing it often since I’m out of town but I’m not in pain it just feels … weird.” His cheeks were now in a deep red color.

“Weird how?” Cas got closer to him and moved his fingertips over the surface of his stomach.

“It’s, kind of, sensitive.” With that Cas poked him lightly in his middle what made Dean shrug back like he got tickled weary bad.

“Stop! That is what I meant with sensitive.”

Not even with Dean’s outbreak Cas took the eyes of his stomach what made him feel really embarrassing so he looked around for other people but found none.

“I touched you in the lightest way. May I.” Cas asked his hand ready to do the glowing thing over his stomach. Dean’s cheek still burned against the cool raindrops but he nodded and the angel started to hover his hand over his belly with his eyes closed. After some time, his eyes opened with a snap which made Dean think the worst.

“What is it?” Cas just started onto his middle until Dean said his name louder, even when he look up he still stayed silence for another minute. Then he spoke up.

“I think … I found Sam.” The angel pointed out.

“What?”

“Sam. He’s kind off … inside you like an … embryo.” Dean’s face went pail and his hands started to shake.

“But-but the witch said I have to survive something.” His voice was now full blown panic. Cas noticed when his legs started to shake too, so he held on to his shoulders to make sure if he would pass out, he wouldn’t land on the wet asphalt.

“Birth was tested on men but they never really made it through the whole experiment and even by woman it can be very risky.”

“BIRTH?!” That was it. Dean’s legs gave up but Cas was strong enough to keep him upright.

“Yes, birth Dean. I think, no, you are pregnant … with Sam. When the witch said you had to survive something I think she meant the pains of birth”, he spoke while he sat Dean awkwardly on the trunk of the Impala.

“I can’t believe this.” Dean buried his face in his hands. Cas could see his shoulders shiver and he was pretty sure he saw a tear running down his face. To comfort him a little he sat down beside him and started to rub his hand up and down his spine.

“Dean. We have to get you out of the rain, but I won’t let you drive, you look like you could pass out any minute, okay?” Dean looked up at him and Cas new it. His eyes were red and his underlip wobbled. Cas hated to see him like that, that’s because he knew how weak and unworthy Dean felt when he cried, so he gave him a sad but kind smile.

“We have two options. One, we drive with my truck. Second, you let me drive the Impala.” Dean had to think about this very hard. That was a horrible decision he had to make. He didn’t want to let Cas drive baby, but he was right. With his head worked up like this and his shaking hands, there was no way he could drive them back save. Letting Cas behind the wheel was the only way to drive back in his baby. He couldn’t just let her stand here on a parking space in the middle of nowhere.

With an okay, Dean gave him the keys, even when he didn’t like to. But the fact that he couldn’t even walk to the side door on his own made him knew that they would have had an accident.

On the drive back to the bunker he felt sick to his stomach. Not because the thought of Sam inside him for 9 months and that he had to give birth to him. After thinking about it more often THAT was what made him feel sick but it were also…his…hormones?

“Cas, stop the car.” With one look he saw how Dean fumbled with the door handle to get out. He would never, NEVER puke into baby, even when it meant that his clothes would be wet and full of mud.

When his door finally opened Cas was already at his side, holding him up while his stomach got rid of everything he ate in the café.

When he was finished Cas dragged him back into the car, sat him into the seat and helped him placing his foots back in the car.

“Cas, … I-I’m so s-sorry.” Dean’s teeth clattered while his hands searched for something, except Cas, he could hold on to.

Without a word Cas got around the car and behind the wheel again, then he spoke up, “Don’t be Dean. We got to hurry up. You’re soaked though and you shouldn’t get sick. Not now.” Dean nodded and clutched his torso to stop himself from shaking so much.
