Chapter Text

Trey was trying to fix things for a school event. Normally it was up to Pomefiore to do prepositions but this time the job was given to heartslabyul. So he was trying to fix up bits and peaces of the both the venue and other places of the school.

Trey was looking around right before the event was to begin, it was an open school event meaning anyone could come in. And trey didn't want anything to go wrong, even with riddle being a bit more relaxed about the rules and he was trying to be more calm about the event. But trey didn't want anything to go wrong, because he knew people would blame his dorm.

He looked at the entrance as people started to arrive seeing a few incorrect things and tried to temporarily fix it with his unique magic. Before calling for someone to help greet guests.

The main event was almost ready at least he thought before someone told him that the venue didn't mach the event. Trey was panicking a bit before deciding to use his magic to cover it he promised himself he would stop using his unique magic after the event.

Trey stood in the field he was feeling a bit sick so he slipped from the event but now he felt worse. And something was telling him to let the sick feeling go. To let the bad feelings and stress take hold of him. 

"Trey there you are!" Trey glanced to see yuu with grim quick walking towards him with riddle, cater, deuce and ace in toe. "We've been looking for you!" Trey cautiously stepped back trying to keep a lot of distance in-between. He really didn't like the sick feeling he had. 'Hey you doing ok? Trey you've been gone for awhile, had us all worrying #not cool" cater said not trying to get to close seeing trey back away. 

"I- I don't know..." he said backing away more when riddle tried to get closer. "Trey?" He asked seeing him back up more. "I don't know..." he was panicking still trying to stay calm. Something in him was just to much so he closed his eyes and let the feeling take him. He mumbled "I'm sorry..." realizing to late what was happening.

"Trey?!" Riddle called out in fear and worry. Seeing a large card with a vat on its back made out of inky black sprout from trey's back, his clothes seemed to morph into one of a Gaurd, his left eye had a smokey dark green glow covered it, he was holding a large clover spear. "Oh no... not again..." Yuu mumbled. Trey had a big smirk on looking between them all "oh my, oh my. The queen, his gaurds with an alice and their cat, have they finally came to check on their most hard working Gaurd?" He asked chuckling deeply as yuu looked at the others a look of 'here we go again' which hesitantly made them pull their pens out. "oh? Are you trying to fight me? Why would the queen want that? And why listen to the alice?" They didn't respond to him as they got ready to fight.

"This isn't like you trey, come back to us." Cater said stepping to the right of deuce as riddle stood next to ace. Yuu standing behind them "I'm the hard working Gaurd! You don't know what I'm like!" trey yelled fully ready to fight. The group started to fight with Yuu telling them what to do.

"stop this! Stop now! I've done nothing but help here and you're attacking me!" Trey yell as he attacked them. "We have to save him now!" Riddle said he was about to use his unique magic but trey deflected the attack which left opening for grim and deuce to attack. "we know that!" Ace yelled back attacking from treys open side.

The fight went on before they managed to deliver a final blow to the creature on his back makeing him and the creature scream. Before trey fell to the floor back to normal but unconscious.

When he woke up he was laying on one of the infirmary bed, Yuu, riddle and cater next to the bed. "W-what...?" Treys sudden words startled them. Riddle rushed to him and pused before hugging him. "Uh-" he said in surprise before awkwardly huged back. "You over bloted. We believe you got over stressed do to the school event, and you tried to fix things with your magic " Yuu said receiving a light glare from riddle and a side glance from cater. 

"You couldn't have put it more gently Yuu-chan?" Cater asked a little annoyance barely noticeable. Yuu stuged and started walking out of the infirmary "i'll leave you all be" they left, leaving cater, riddle and trey alone. "I didn't realize you were under so much pressure." Riddle mumbled still hugging him "yeah if id have known i would have helped with a few copies. And using your magic on a whole venue for so long..." cater said he didn't have the bright smile he normally had. "We don't need to suger coat it. You were reckless, and didn't think telling us would be easier." Riddle said letting go of trey and stepping back.

"Yeah... I just didn't want you all to get worried about the event..." he mumbled looking away, he normally was the stand tall person. But currently he felt like a kid who got caught drawing on the walls by two disappointed parents. He was in for a large talking too about not trying to hide the stress and over work. Ace and deuce were relieved trey was ok.

Chapter Text

Cater was laying in his bed thinking and he had a few copies doing chores. His mind was overwhelmed with just thoughts, most were extremely lonely. But he urged himself to stay happy.

Cater didn't know when he was supposed to say no, currently he had quite a few copies rushing around doing chores running errands and helping classmates. He was trying to keep his mind off things. Which didn't work but helped a tiny bit.

That night he lay on his bed, he pretty much constantly had the room to himself now since Trey was usually in Jade and Floyd's room since he was dating them. Especially after they got word of Trey's over blot, and the others weren't usually there either. He could feel something bubbling in him. A feeling he never liked. He looked over at the door kind of hoping someone would come in.

Cater was rushing around trying to help a few students, he was very tired trying to help so many people and he was using a lot of his magic trying to help so many people having around 10-12 copies already. when he was in the cafeteria trying to help a couple students study, he was already really tired but kept trying after they were done the two asked for help soon. Cater nodded as they left, cater took a deep breath, not noticing deuce, ace, trey, Yuu or the leech twins. "... I'll be fine... just one more and then I'll be done..." cater used his unique magic once more but ended up lurching back almost dropping his pen.

Another one of him appeared but it was holding his head. Yuu looked worried, looking at the group ace and deuce looked really worried and clearly sad. The twins were shocked but trey look horrified about it. Cater held his head and was starting at the floor muttering. "Cater-senpie..." deuce mumbled trying to take a step closer but was held back by ace who was trembling slightly. "No... please..." cater muttered before closing his eyes.

Trey and the twins pulled out their pens but ace and deuce didn't move to get ready to fight. "Ahaha!" Everyone looked at Cater he was whareing an oversized sweater and extremely torn jeans, a large flowing coat flowing around him with a large broken mask on his back which was leaking black ink and an bright orange glow on him left eye. He turned to see them there. "aw~ did you all come to see me?! Am I important now~?" He asked staring at the group defiantly noticing ace and deuce's lack of pen. Yuu grumbled out a command to the three with their pens out. 

"you want to fight me~ do you think I'm not tiered enough?" cater asked summoning a small group of inky versions of himself to deal with the three. "Cater! Please stop this! At least let me help you back!" Trey said dealing with the inky caters, Cater growled at him, "help me? Where were you when I needed company?!" he yelled still fighting.

Ace was thinking and realized none of the inky clones were attakeing him or deuce. He tried to pull Deuse in the direction of cater trying not to get noticed by the three. But cater saw them easily, the inky clones moved away from them. "Ace-chan~ Deuse-chan~" the two moved closer as cater moved to him slightly. "Cater-" the two were ushered closer to him. "We're sorry-" deuce said landing a hit directly on the week spot, Ace fallowing his lead. It made cater and the inky creatures scream. Cater transformed back and stared dazed swaying before falling passing out.

Cater woke up dazed and confused, sudden memories hit him as soon as he woke up so he closed his eyes and tried to calm down. He opened his eyes again to see ace and deuse sitting and holding him while Yuu the twins and trey looked from close by. "Uh..." he groaned, every one looked at him deuce and ace held tightly to his hands. "Cater-sempi! Are you feeling better?" Deuce asked cater didn't respond but just held tighter to his two underclassmen's. Yuu said nothing but looked to the door and motioned that they would leave them all be. Jade nodded silently as Yuu left. "My head hurts so much..." cater mumbled not moving. "Makes sense, snapper had so many snappers around, and he had an over blot- ouch!-" floyd yelped slightly as trey jabbed him in the side. "Thats not helpful, floyd" jade sighed "no... he's right... I really shouldn't have done that..." cater muttered sitting up slightly. 

Trey moves a little closer and said "cater you know how you and riddle spoke to me about not over working and not getting to stressed? Well I believe that goes for loneliness and wanting. So please talk to us if you need." Cater nodded laying back on the floor he was exhausted, and he closed his eyes falling asleep also preparing for riddle to scold him.

Chapter Text

It had been around three weeks since caters overblot, ace and deuce had started getting into fights with other students. A lot of students had heard about their friends overblots and were gossiping about it. Which just pissed them off. Especially when it came to their other boyfriend and their other two dorm mates.

Ace and Deuce were coming back from a dention since they were caught fighting with magic. The two were worn out cause of the constant fights, and use of magic. The only thing that could really calm them was Cater, but forbid he found out about the fights. The two paused when they heard a few students talking badly about Cater and riddle. So they went to deal with it being more hidden this time.

Cater was genuinely happy as he ate lunch with his boyfriend's deuce and ace. They got together about a week after his overblot, and when ace and deuce excused them selves for a bit he didn’t qustion it. Ace and Deuce slipped away to a hidden away place quickly pulling a pair of students who kept whispering about them. And immediately went to fight them.

Cater had been looking for his boyfriend's finding Yuu, grim, rook, vil and riddle. "Hey have you guys see Deuse or Ace at all?" He asked the group, Yuu shock their head as riddle spoke "now that you mention it.. I haven't seen them since this morning." *clash* They looked to the sound seeing a student that tripped they go up quickly and ran to them. "House wardens! Yuu- uh! Everyone we need help!" The student was panicking and frantic. "Whats wrong?!"  Yuu asked they had a bad feeling. There was a pause the student taking deep breaths. "It's Ace, and Deuse...." every one was worried now. "They overbloted..." Yuu grim and Cater immediately followed with vil and rook following behind.

The group got to one of the walk areas behind the school. Seeing who they assumed was Ace he had a broken crown on a glass of ink behind him he was whareing a prince suit with trails of ink on his clothes the clothes were red with black spades and dark red diamonds on it, he also had a bright red smoke in his left eye. "AHAHA! You all should learn your place! Learn where you stand next to us and them!" he yelled. The one assumingly Deuce who looked similar except his clothes had red hearts instead of spades and his main clothes were blue, he also had a bright blue smoke on his left eye. "Ha! Yes yes! You clearly need to learn when to speak about people!" He yelled ready to attack a student when a blast of fire hit his magic. The two angrily turned to see them, their eyes immediately landing on cater. 

"What on earth are you two doing!?" Riddle yelled rushing in front of the student as rook and vil rushed them to get to a safe place. "just trying to punish the people who are disrespecting the people we call our friends" ace grumbled, riddle pulled out his pen ready to save his friends. "hum..." Deuse mumbled and stod tall. Preparing to fight.

After a long battle Ace yelled "Why! Why! We aren't doing anything to harm you!" attempting to throw the spells to try and get them away. "they would have deserved it! They were talking so badly!" Deuce yelled. Cater was attempting to help but copies were just taking hits for them. Rook managed to grab both of their attention as cater, riddle and grim gave a final blow to the inky glasses. Ace and Deuce screamed with the inky creatures, turning normal and falling passing out.

The two woke up in confusion, the were clinging to each others arms. the room they were in was dark but when Deuce strained his eyes he realized they were in the infemery. Ace looked over to the side seeing Cater sleeping in a chair next to the bed. A dialog clock saying it was 2am. Deuce looked at cater slightly happy but saddened turning to Ace asking "did he wait next to us the whole time?" Ace shrugged mumbling "don't know... I just feel horrible about what happened." The two sat in silence before Deuce spoke again "we should really have talked to them, at least Cater should have known." It was more quiet as they watched Cater sleep.

"... this school needs a traripist- or to give Yuu money for all they go through" Ace grumbled trying to make it less tense. "Yeah, with all the overblots and trauma from it you would think Crowley would hire one" Deuce mumbled, the two sat on the bed looking at Cater remembering his overblot. "How come we didn't listen to riddle and Trey's advice.." ace asked out loud "We're both hot heads that only know how to fight...?" Deuce asked back. After some more time they carefully placed a blanket on cater and went back to sleep.
