Not finished.

Chapter Text

Loki’s hands wrapped around the tesseract grinning under his gag he felt the familiar pull of his navel as he teleported, faintly he heard someone shout and a weight on his left arm. The sudden weight ripped his attention away from his destination, a very dangerous thing for a spell caster something Thor learnt very quickly. The designed destination now interrupted, Loki and his uninvited guest were thrown onto an unnamed planet far within the solar system.
Loki disappeared with the tesseract within the chaos surrounding him, Thor shouted out in protest but was to far away to stop his brother, he was not fast enough to warn Tony who threw himself at Loki interrupting his spell. Thor waited for an explosion something he had become familiar with instead both God and mortal disappeared. Leaving a concerned older brother and a furious team.

Chapter 2: Gone in the wind

Chapter Text

Tony blinked, his body ached, had he had a heart attack? He groaned slightly as he shifted from his chest onto his knees giving himself some extra room to breathe. He looked around slightly, where was he?

Trees surrounded him in every direction, it was hot, almost humid and his back was wet with sweat, he could hear water nearby. His attention shifted when he heard something shift, he went to activate his suit only to realise it wasn’t responding, he was alone without a weapon for the first time since Afghanistan.

A dear trotted out of the forest Tony stayed still watching it and breathed in sharply at the sight of a deformed jaw that hung loosely allowing a tongue to limply lay. The deer had an extra eye on its forehead like one f those cheap oracles. A hand slapped across his mouth another arm wrapping around his waist trapping his arms quickly before he could fight back.

His kidnaper was stubborn holding him tightly to their chest a present cold pressed against his neck as they leaned over him a strip of black hair fell into Tonys line of sight. Black hair? Why did it look familiar.

Tony focused on the rise and fall of his kidnaper’s chest, slightly disturbed he couldn’t hear the breaths themselves. The deer slowly glanced over them and trotted off, they stayed like that for a few moments, the black hair tilted slightly as if listening to ensure they left. As soon as the grip on him broke Tony surged forward trying to put as much space between them as possible, Black curls fell over his captures angular face, sharp bone structure and green eyes that stared into his soul. The Asgardian armour was rough but served its purpose, the maniacal was broken the chain had been snapped to allow movement but the cuffs remained around the gods’ wrists.

“Loki!” Tony hissed as he took in the god, “where the hell did you take us?” he tried to find his baring’s, looking to the sky. His mother had once told him that the sky would be his campus and that he could easily find out where he was using the sun. Only he wasn’t sure which son he was supposed to us, he didn’t think his mother had given the advice with the assumption that wherever he was had 3 suns.

Loki stood and Tony was forced to his feet not wanting to give the god an advantage, Loki didn’t look impressed, the muzzle right. The bastard couldn’t speak, why the hell didn’t he leave the god with Thor to deal with?

He just defended Earth from aliens and now he had to deal with this. He better be getting paid extra for this, not that he needed the money but why would he willing miss out on the chance to annoy Fury, it would be classic.

“Right, simple questions then. Are we on earth?” Tony half hoped the answer out be yes despite how unlikely it was that the planet had birthed two subs while he slept, Loki shook his head. Dam.

He brushed his hair away in annoyance, the sweet making it stick unconfutable to his skin, he only results in making it go up in an odd direction. Not an attractive one if Loki’s face was anything to go on.

The god huffed and turned, walking into the endless trees, Tony quickly scurried to follow the god, cursing as he almost trips on a rock. Why were space rocks so much harder? “Where do you think you’re going!”, the god didn’t answer but his body scream ‘you don’t expect me to stay here do you?’.

Despite being ignored, Tony yelled after the man “Hell no, you’re my prisoner. I’m not letting you out of my sight!” despite how much he wanted too, the god may be the only one that knew how to get of this dam planet, and it was far to hot to be arguing, “wait up!”.

His foot caught on a root, and he let out a ‘whoosh’ noise as his chest collided with the forest floor, he really should be paying more attention to his surroundings, it was something Pepper always scolded him over. Slowly getting to his feet again only to find the god waiting impatiently for him ahead, he brushed the dirt of his shirt grumbling as he fell into step with the god. A pine needle twisting in his hand, this wasn’t like anything he had ever seen.

He couldn’t believe it, the god actually waited for him.

Chapter 3: Questionable food?

Chapter Text

It had been a few hours since they had arrived, Loki kept pushing on and despite the generous human rest breaks Tony was still struggling to keep up, but he wasn’t willing to stop risking the God to leave him behind.

The second sun was setting, the first having set an hour ago; that was if time worked the same on this planet as it did on earth. Loki propped himself down on a large flat rock, finally a rest Tony dropped to the forest floor he stared up at the sky or what could be seen through the leaves of other trees. A rock dug into his back, but he was too tires to move it, he heart the familiar sound of metal scratching and his eyes shot to Loki who had a dagger in one hand gamming it between the space of the muzzle.

Tony quickly jumped up despite the exhaustion weighing him down, “you’ve had a knife this entire time?”. Hadn’t the agents searched him? He could have killed him at any point and tony wouldn’t have been able to defend himself, pushing a god out a window with his suit is one thing attempting the same without is not a wise idea. He doubted he would find the necessary window in a place like this.

The god continued to gape it making a mess of the metal and Tony worried for the knife itself, “Give it here” Tony said finally after watching the attempt pitifully.

Loki eyes him wearily, before handing the dagger over, he was clearly hostile, but the god had extorted all his resources.

Tony grabbed a sizeable rock that fit nicely in his palm and gammed the dagger between the small space of the muzzle on Loki’s left check where the lock joined. He ensured it was wedged in tightly before bringing the rock down on the bud of the handle creating a pressure on the lock, he continued this motion, 3 or 4 times before it clicked and fell to the ground folding itself into a neat little metal brick.

“Its just science” Tony announced in victory a pleased grin on his face as he turned to Loki only to find the god glaring at him not at all sharing the achievement. Oh right, they had put that on him.

He hopped Thor wasn’t too mad about the muzzle, but he sure as hell wasn’t spending how ever long it takes to get of this planet playing Simon says with his brother.

“You’re not getting this back” Tony told him, a risky gamble pissing of a Norse god who could most likely overpower him. The god simply pulled out another dagger from his armour, he wasn’t sure were, did this man have an armoury stored on him?

The man held the dagger in a stabbing position before stabbing down into the dirt beside his foot violently, Tony jumped back in surprise. “What the hell are you doing” He stepped forward to confiscate the knife., there was no way he was letting him have a knife while he was in a homicidal mode. Loki brought the knife back up, on the tip of the blade was a grub, it was far larger then normal and was fatter. “Dinner” Loki grinned at him; the god was clearly angry with him.

“I’m not eating that” Tony shuddered as the grub moved around on the blade, “then starve” Loki replied flatly as he removed it from the blade placing it on the rock in front of him and cut the head clean of much like an executioner and a chicken; slicing the grub into thick sliced as if he was cutting a carrot not a bug. What was wrong with these people? First no technology, now eating bugs? Was it an Asgardian thing or a brain full of crazy cat’s thing.

Tonys stomached grumbled, he hadn’t eaten anything expect a few blueberries the day before and he was intending on taking the team out to lunch after the battle. He was so going to regret this, but despite times comes despite measures. “Give it to me” he growled as the god flicked it at him, Tony quickly grabbed it, he tried to force back bile at the slimy feel.

“You’re not going to cook it?” he asked weakly holding it between tow fingertips, Loki raised an eyebrow and bit into a piece having no issues with the foreign insect.

“The forest is too damp here to light a fire” The god watched in amusement as he lifted it up to evaluate it before deciding it was best to just go for it. He bit into it and his stomach quenched. The skin was stretchy and chewy, the inside was juicy, and it left a tingling sensation on his tongue. He tried to force himself not to vomit as he chewed through the meat. Loki smirked at the look of disgust and pain on the morals face.

Don’t vomit, don’t vomit, don’t-

He surged forward as he let his stomach content out onto the floor, gagging and heaving as stomach acid and the small amount of blueberry’s that were left in his stomach remerged. It smelled awful making him want to be sick again.

Over his vomiting, he could hear Loki chuckling in the background, “mortals”.

He couldn’t help but agree.

Chapter 4: A battle of the mind

Chapter Text

Three suns really weren’t as fun as it would sound, if anything it only meant it was three times as hot. The humanity seemed to be getting to Loki as well who had slowed from his fast pace Infront of Tony to his side.

"Why is it so hot" He complained, whipping sweat from his brow a repetitive motion he had been doing for hours despite knowing it would only return.

"It is a southern-spere planet" Loki answered impatiently as the mortal gave him an odd look, wasn’t the man supposed to be a genius? "A planet close to the sun".

“Of cause it is” Stark muttered, perking up as he heard water rushing he had heard it before as they passed but they were small streams just enough for a drink before marching on. He could hear the water crashing loudly, this was a big stream. He pushed himself forward impatiently shoving aside vines as he entered a clearing it wasn’t bare; it has trees spaced out. A canopy of leaves protecting them from the sub but also enough to cool the water, a waterfall fell from a tall cliff into a decent size stream ad Tony had never felt so happy in his life, he was surprised nothing else was here.

Loki grabbed his shoulder stopping him as he went towards to pond, the god once again had a dagger. A quick check revealed that the precious dagger was till by tony side. Where had the new one come from?

“it’s a trap” Loki said quietly hand gripping his weapon tightly eyes scanning the surrounding area. Tony scoffed, “who would want to trap this?” he asked wanting to give the god any type of answer just so he would allow him into the pool of water.

Loki’s grip tightened on his shoulder, “It’s a shaded area, large water source spaced out trees convolutely. If it wasn’t a trap then where are the animals that have lived their entire lives in this forest, no doubt they would know of this place”.
The water called to him, he knew the god’s argument was sound, but he was so tired.

Come to me.

The water would be so nice in this heat.

Come to me.

Just for a moment.

Come to me.

Just a dip then he would be back.

“STARK!” Loki’s voice cut through his foggy head, and he stared into Loki’s eyes who was awfully close to him his hands on both his shoulders, has he been shaking him?

“What?” Tony managed to get out, his tongue felt like cotton. His head felt heavy, “What’s happening to me?”. His eyes slid shut again, he would sleep just for a moment.

“Stark! Listen to me. You need to open your eyes, it’s an enchantment” he knew Loki was talking to him, but he was so dam tired, following a god around all day was hard work.

“Stark, open your eyes!”

Just one moment.

“Stark!”

Just one mom-

Chapter 5: Flee

Chapter Text

Loki held the unconscious man tight to his chest quickly lifting him into his arms, he needed to get him away from here quick. The enchantment already had a firm grasp of Starks mind, he knew it had been a trap why hadn’t he thought about magic?

Because it was a dying art, his mind told him. He hadn’t been affected because he had so much practice being around Magic that he fought off ill intent with an absent mind. He hadn’t even noticed the magical presence until Stark had stopped complaining, for the first time in the three days they had been there his companion was silent.

He tracked though the forest doubling back half an hour before going West, he needed to find water. He the short breaks he permitted Stark were not enough for the man nor was the infrequency of water. The man was hardly keeping down food as it was.

He was lucky enough to have spent enough time out on adventures with worrier of three and Thor to know what can and can't be eaten unfortunately he didnt know if the same items extended to mortals. It was hit and miss, Mushrooms were fine, but caterpillars...it was best not to let the man see them.

He of cause hadn’t wanted to be stranded on a planet with a mortal, let alone this one. He could have been far from Asgard by now had it not been for the twit. Then again, he couldn’t get much further then Asgard then one of the goldilocks planet channels. They were after all inhabitable, one too cold, much like his home planet the other far to hot, often a retiring place for fire giants. They were lucky to have landed on the safer of the three.

He was not unfamiliar was the task of carrying another warrior, despite most assumptions he was much stronger than he looked, he often took pleasure in surprising soldiers on the battlefield when he carried Thor in after he was injured.

Stark hardly weighted a thing compared to that brute; it was easy to carry him for hours until he found a shaded spot with a deep enough stream that the man could wash himself if he wished it without risking drowning.

He laid the man down on the forest floor removing his own outer coat that he had been preventing removing in the heat in fear of losing it, folded it and placed it under the man’s head. He stepped to the side retrieving his dagger from one of his many folds in his leather and started catching Dinner, tonight the ground was dry.
