Chapter Text
Leon took glances at each one of his family members, His loved ones, watching them as they stared off into the open view that was New York. Their home. An unmatched warmth settled within his chest. They were here, well and alive.
It was over, finally over.
Relaxation began to finally set in.
Melting into Leo’s aching bones and sores spots, where he was sure bruises would stay and settle for the next 2 weeks.
A feeling of peace washed over him.
He let his body sink into the feeling, before being interrupted by a string of stinging pains pulsing throughout his fingers and arms, twitching slightly as more pain throbbed its way toward his elbows.
Each twitch seemingly does more harm than good.
Leo began rubbing at the base of his wrist.
Where the pain was most intense, the feeling felt like a weird burning sensation, making his arms feel tingly but numb.
He continued to rub at the base.
He let his face show slight frustration as the feeling seemed to just get worse. After a while, he gave up on trying to ease his pains when another feeling washed over him.
He felt like He was being stared at.
He looks around, trying his best to make it go unnoticed by the others,
Before his eyes landed on his youngest brother.
His youngest brother who seemed to study Leo, looked him up and down before his eyes landed on Leo's arms.
Leo noticed his brother’s gaze leading towards the arms/hands.
He was subconsciously rubbing at when Michel had looked.
Leo stopped, he didn’t want Michel to worry about it especially if everyone else was okay.
Leo watched as his brother's eyes linger a little bit longer on his arms before he looked up, making direct eye contact with Leo.
Are you okay?”
Michel mouthed, The youngest was always so good at reading body language and faces, so it’ll be pointless to lie now and get caught later.
Leo pointed towards his arms.
“But don’t worry about it”
He mouths toward his brother.
He could tell the youngest wasn’t going to stop, but worry more.
Yet, Michel looked one last time before finally turning away towards the open view.
He let Michel turn away first before
letting his gaze longer just a little bit longer, Letting his eyes wander toward Michel’s arms.
He could see the way they twitched and shook as if holding some kind of energy, watching as his brother subconsciously rubbed at the start of his wrist before stopping.
Raph informed him it was Michel who reached him. Who had saved him?
So, Michel would definitely feel the pain, as Donnie had said he would
*
“he’s was breaking himself to save you, it was like he was dying, like little glowing pieces breaking off his body Leo, tearing him apart”
*
The words echoed.
Michel would definitely feel the pain in his wrist like Donnie had said he would, but why was Leo?
——————
“We should tell them,” Michel suggested.
“They could help, and maybe they won’t be mad at us for hiding it for so long,” Michel added.
He slowly tapped two fingers together before pulling them apart and repeating. A habit Michel picked up when he was nervous.
Leo glanced at his brother, he was against it, still was but the look in his youngest eye indicates something. Something is very wrong.
“FINNEY” Leo craved
“Let’s go to Donnie,” Leo added.
His brother beamed, hugging Leo before skipping off toward Donnie's lab.
—————
“Mystic Combination Outbursts is
An unhealthy, uncontrollable growth of mystic energy in both users after their energy forcibly combines. Due to this most will experience build-up energy that causes outbursts.
The voice was monotone, it sounded raspy, he cleared his throat before continuing
“Can happen as a result of combining energies without proper knowledge or forcibly.
Blah blah blah
or when both users unknowingly build a connection…..”
He paused as let his finger follow the words.
“Through their mystic energy under intense stress, trauma or fear as a way to protect not oneself but each other”
As he finished, he looked toward his younger brothers.
‘Do they not feel safe?"
"but what you and Angelo are experiencing as of result of MCO is Outburst surges
When the body can’t handle so much energy it will outburst that energy into space out surges as a way of outpouring.” Donnie explained.
“So? What does that mean for them, Donnie?” The oldest spoke first.
“No idea as of right now, but starting now no hugging nor touching or getting too worked up, Leo. I’ll do more research and call Draxum.”
He began to stand up and walk out of the shared space.
“Well, you heard him, separate” Raph commanded.
Before he walked out of the shared space.
Leo and Michel glanced at each other.
———-
“IT'S BEEN WEEKS!” Michel voiced
“It has not been weeks, Angelo” Donnie replied
“But nothing happened so far” Michel fell on Donnie's lap. Smiling at his older brother, hoping that would make him crave.
“But something could,” Donnie spoke.
He took down Michel.
“Now please get off me”
Michel did what he was told even going as far as walking entirely out of Donnie’s, Mumbling and grumbling as he did so.
“Let me guess, he said no,” Leo said.
He forms laying on a beanbag, with a book in one hand and a cup in the other.
Michel looked at him before dropping his shoulders.
“Told he would,” Leo remarked.
“How about we do it anyway,” Michel whispered.
He looked up towards Leo.
Leo was shocked, beyond shock. ‘This must be getting to him.’
“Michel!” He gasped. A hand across his chest.
“That is such a bad idea, Donnie would be so angry and Raph would be so disappointed. Something could go terribly wrong and we could get hurt” he smiled,
standing up and walking towards their sparing room.
Michel was right behind him, beaming with excitement.
Their mystic energy feeds off of their newly created adrenaline.
The room became engulfed by the feeling,
Leo and Michel continue fighting, oblivious to the energy around them.
Orange and blue particles began to form and mix, taking over the space shared between the two turtles.
Seemingly wrapping itself around the room and the different colors.
Little meaningless insult we’re thrown around as it continues to grow, building up surges.
A chain wrapped around Leo before he could attack Michel.
“Hey! We agreed on no mystical Weapons” he smiled.
Michel stuck out his tongue, swinging him towards a wall.
“No one likes a cheater Michel” Leo added
A throat-clearing sound could be heard.
Both froze as they turned towards the door, and faced their older brothers.
Donnie entered the room, and by him stood Raph.
Really?” Donnie asked. He looked unimpressed.
“After I just told Mik-“ Donnie spoke before cutting himself off.
A section of a wall that was closer to Angelo began to get fluffier creating a brown center, as blue and orange surrounded it.
“It’s beautiful!” Mikey said out loud.
Seconds layers it wasn’t. A pressure that felt like head-crushing began.
The brown center began to glow as it opened. A pull sensation was felt.
Leo found himself getting pulled towards the portal. He could hear yelling and his name being called over and over again. Scratching his nails against the ground, grunted as he struggled to find a place that kept him from getting pulled in. One of his brothers was calling out that they were coming for him and just as he was about to reply his fingers lost their grip. He saw the horrific look on their faces when he was freely being dragged towards the Portale, with nothing stopping him.
Glowing orange chains expanded themselves, wrapping around his body when he was inches away from being completely through.
Michel was struggling, struggling to pull Leo fully back through and keeping himself grounded so he wouldn’t lose his grip.
Leo’s body jerked when the chains caught him. He looked towards Mikey. He wanted to tell Mikey that he needed to let go.
Leo could tell this was affecting Mikey's grip.
Mikey tightens his hold around Leo. Still trying to pull Leo forward.
Mikey watched as his brother’s head was the only thing visible. His grip loosens as his grip on Leo tightens.
He would rather None of his brothers be alone than his own safety,
looking towards his older brothers
Before looking towards his own hand, letting go.
Leo’s scream was cut off as he went through with Mikey shortly after.
