Sui-copath:

This is a reference to Hoshimachi Suisei’s psychopathic behavior at times, though usually this is just played off as a joke. A good example would be her playing Snow and terrorizing others with an axe.

Subaru = Duck:

This is exactly what it says on the tin: Oozora Subaru’s duck-like laugh.

“No wife, friends.”:

This is likely just referencing clips of Hololive talents “friendzoning” those who ask them to “marry” them, namely Shirakami Fubuki.

Okakoro Friendship:

This is the ship name for Inugami Korone and Nekomata Okayu. They’re both very close, and often borderline flirt with each other.

TMT:

TMT is an abbreviation for “Towa Maji Tenshi”, and is often said by fans of Tokoyami Towa.

Nakirium:

This is the name used by fans to describe energy used by Nakiri Ayame for streaming.

Bottom left:

A reference to this clip , and a general joke that Takanashi Kiara isn’t as pure as she seems.

Wah:

A sound Ninomae Ina’is says often, and is often repeated by her fans. 

Onion: 

Minato Aqua’s nickname, given by overseas fans (specifically on r/Hololive ), and refers to her being able to show up twice on screen when she moves her model.

Pekora’s war crimes:

Exactly what it says, Usada Pekora has committed several war crimes.

AsaCoco:

Kiryu Coco’s formerly held live morning show. It was later continued on in the occasional episode of “Ame in the AM,” Amelia Watson’s morning show in a similar vein.

Kiryu Coco Graduation:

Kiryu Coco graduated from Hololive on July 1st, 2020 to continue other projects.

Risu’s NNN:

Ayunda Risu’s Nonstop Nut November, a series based off of the meme No Nut November (similarly abbreviated to NNN), in which she discussed various nut facts.

Noel Ahijo:

An ahijo is a hardcore fan of Oozora Subaru, and Shirogane Noel is considered to be one.

Weather Hackers:

Kiryu Coco’s graduation song. It contains references to her career, mainly her stream intro being “Good morning Motherfuckers!”

Matsuri = God:

A common meme between Hololive fans referencing a clip of Natsuiro Matsuri saying “I am god. Ok?” going viral.

PekoMoona saga:

A series compiling clips of Pekora and Moona Hoshinova’s friendship.

Smol Ame’s True Power:

Smol Ame is exactly what it sounds like: a smaller version of Amelia Watson. She causes problems for the bigger Ame, and has several versions of herself from several timelines, including (but not limited to,) bee Ame, Buffson, and Chuchu Ame.

Uruha Rushia graduation:

On February 24th, 2022, Uruha Rushia was terminated. She was not given a graduation and her accounts were terminated in early March.

Aqua’s Apex skill:

This is a reference to Aqua’s skill at the game Apex Legends being very high.

Ollie/Olivia:

Olivia is the human persona of Kureiji Ollie, a zombie.

Reine’s Fanfic:

Paviola Reine wrote a fanfiction on the game Minecraft, titled “Noise Complaint.” It was eventually expanded upon by other idols.

Hololive CN:

Hololive CN was the Chinese branch of Hololive that dissipated in 2020. Every member retired, and made goodbye videos. 

Calli’s “end of a life”:

“End of a life” is a song by Calliope Mori. It received high praise for being a bit different from her usual style of music. Memes have been made out of songs of a similar BPM, fading from a verse of the song to a verse of another song. An example can be found here.

Gamers was created by Fubuki:

Shirakami Fubuki scouted each member of Hololive Gamers, a unit inside of Hololive containing Inugami Korone, Ookami Mio, Nekomata Okayu, and of course Shirakami Fubuki.

Zeta’s Secret:

Vestia Zeta is a secret agent, so this is likely referring to her lore and general backstory.

Mumei’s Drawings:

Nanashi Mumei has an art style that is often called “Tim Burton-esque,” in the essence of it being very creepy. Example here.

Kiara’s backstory and dream come true:

This references her dream, that at one point she gave up on. She worked towards this dream over the course of many years, but gave up on it. She credits Hololive for reviving this dream. More information can be found in this clip.

Kurokami:

Kurokami is a darker personality of Shirokami Fubuki, and is often accompanied by a deeper  singing voice.

Cortana-incident:

Ouro Kronii’s Cortana malfunctioned during a stream, causing it to repeat “Hi, I’m Cortana” over and over. This occasionally happened after the initial incident.

Ankimo Ch:

Ankimo Ch. is the channel of Tokino Sora’s mascot bear, Ankimo.

Piggybank-incident:

A joke about Risu stealing Moona’s piggy bank, and is often referenced with the line “So I found Moona’s piggy bank…”

Haachama Lore:

Haachama is a nickname given to Akai Haato that was later used in her greeting of “Haachama-chama!” and later became a separate persona from Akai Haato, being her more “yabai” part of her personality. 

Coco/Haachama Taiwan Incident:

Coco and Haachama spoke about Taiwan in one of their streams, and received backlash from Chinese fans, and even a member of Hololive CN.

Past Ina:

This may be a reference to Ina’s backstory, as she was a priestess known for her power.

Ame’s time travel:

Amelia Watson is from the future, and as previously mentioned Smol Ame is too, however she’s from a different timeline, as are the other forms of Ame, all being from different timelines and different points in time.

“Holofive”/Mano Aloe:

Holofive was the name of Hololive Gen 5 before the graduation of Mano Aloe due to her rapidly declining mental health and general poor reception.

Ina and Sana knew each other before Hololive:

Ina referenced the first time Sana beat her at Pokemon when they were children, however Sana doesn’t remember this.

Calli - Anemachi:

Coco asked Calli if she was Anemachi, Suisei’s older sister, due to their similar appearance. 

Discord Fanservers:

Many fanservers have been made by fans to talk about different Hololive talents, some being more SFW than others.

Haachama feet stream:

Akai Haato’s feet stream is widely considered the first appearance of the Haachama persona.

Haachama = Mikodanye:

Mikodanye is a mascot of Sakura Miko’s, and Haachama found out who’s inside the costume.

Marine is really 17:

Housho Marine is 17, which concerns some fans due to her sexual behavior and frequent sexual references.

Hitomi Chris:

Hitomi Chris was a member of Hololive who debuted as a part of Hololive JP Gen 1, and her account and all activities were terminated after a breach of contract due to unknown terms. She is known for being the Hololive member with the shortest time as a vtuber, being around three weeks.

It’s all Watame’s fault:

Tsunomaki Watame has a bad internet connection, and this is often referenced through the joke “It’s all Watame’s fault”

Red Heart-chan:

Red Heart-chan is the physical appearance of Haachama.

We’re all inside Sana:

This refers to Tsukumo Sana, and the fact that she is the physical manifestation of Space. Since Earth is in Space, we are all technically inside Sana.

Nene’s new design:

Nene received a new permanent main design in 2020, and due to this she did not receive a New Year’s costume.

Coco and Melody:

Coco was friends with Projekt Melody, a vtuber under Vshojo before her graduation. Oddly enough, a certain gang leader under Vshojo JP is also friends with her…

Towa is really a devil:

Towa isn’t an angel, she’s a devil, plain as that.

Coco isn’t Friend C:

Friend C is Amane Kanata’s roommate, and this name was given to her to protect her privacy. They no longer live together, and it was never confirmed if Friend C was Coco or not.
