“They act like they’ve never seen an ogre before.” Fintan laughs
“They probably haven’t, they are humans after all.” Dimitar scowls at the last word, he scowled even more when some humans came up and talked to them saying they loved their costumes. And even asked how they got the skin texture to feel so real. Of course Fintan soaked up the attention like a water would soak up sun and water. Thoroughly annoyed from the interaction Dimitar asked
“Why are we even here Fintan?” Fintan walked in front of him before turning around, continuing to walk backwards, flaring his arms
“It’s called getting the council’s attention.” Dimitar rolled his eyes
“I have yet to see how going to a human store will help with that goal.” They get to another aisle but instead of passing it like all the others Fintan stops abruptly
“This is how!” He sweeps his arms again, he’s a very dramatic elf, only problem was
“You do realize and remember I can’t read whatever humans call this language.” Fintan drops his arm
“Did you have to ruin my dramatic reveal?”
“I don’t even know what you’re revealing, because I can’t read.” Dimitar says in a no nonsense tone.
“This is the herbicide aisle.” Fintan says like that explained anything, Dimitar raises an eyebrow, making Fintan sigh and facepalm as if it was the most obvious thing in the world what he was saying. As he did that he mumbled something under his breath sounding like “Bronte would’ve understood.” He takes another deep breath before explaining further, “Well gnomes are kinda like plants right?” Dimitar nods “Well these kill plants you see, now do you get what I’m saying?” Dimitar nodded again
“and you’re sure this will work?” Fintan nodded this time “okay, well do we have to pay or do we just grab some?” Fintan put a finger on his chin
“I think we can just grab some.”
This was how Fintan and Dimitar ended up getting into a high speed chase due to Fintan hot wiring a car to hold all the herbicide they attained through totally legal matters. How dare someone suggest otherwise. Fintan saying he didn’t think it was that illegal as well as them being permanently banned from all Walmart’s due to them stealing thousands of dollars worth of herbicides.
