Several books into the series it is learned that at his hide-out Valentine has a room full of clothing and other gifts for the wife who left him. Because when he finds her she will come back to him.

   Megatron has a room like this for his chosen consort.
   Even if his chosen never agreed to be his mate, or ever met him prior to the war.
   What Megatron want Megatron gets.
