mizuki and ena walked through the streets with bags in their hands from shopping. well, mizuki had bags in their hands, ena was just holding her phone while carrying one small bag. mizuki tutted at that. tch, making me do all the work, what kind of girlfriend is she? their thoughts got interrupted by someone talking.
“hey, we should go home now, yeah? i promised akito i would give him his birthday present a week ago…”
“wasn’t his birthday a month ago?”
“exactly!” ena giggled. and suddenly mizuki’s heart fluttered. “can’t have him being any madder at me, huh?”
mizuki zoned out. “yeah, i guess,” they looked around the streets. it wasn’t that late, but they couldn’t see anyone around. how long have they been shopping?
they completely zoned out ena as they were still mad at her for forcing them to hold all the bags. some bags were as far up as their elbow. they could literally feel their circulation up there being cut off. their phone was in their pocket so they could feel a bunch of notifications vibrating in their pocket, but they could grab it cause of stupid ena-
“mizuki, you okay there?” ena turned around and asked. she probably noticed that mizuki wasn’t saying anything about the stories she’s been talking about.
“no, can you please hold at least some of your bags?!” they playfully said, but they were being serious.
“ugh, fineee,” she placed her phone in her pocket before walking up to mizuki, picking up some of the bags from their elbow. “there, happy?”
mizuki grinned. “very.”
they stayed silent for a bit then ena stole a kiss from them. “h-hey! you could’ve given me a warning!”
“that’s what you get for not listening to my stories~!” she sounded like her partner. but ena didn’t mind. “if you want a real kiss, come and catch me!” ena started running and giggling, mizuki groaned slightly but laughed.
“oh, you!” they started running as well. which was easier now that ena had most of the bags. but wow, could she run…
moments like this is why mizuki loves ena. she’s so carefree and yeah she might be a little mean all the time, but she’s incredibly cute. just like mizuki!
