Work Text:
Spock is working in the lab, and there is a Christmas party going on upstairs. Not that he cares for those things. He is so immersed in his work that he doesn’t notice that someone else is in the room.
Jim is watching Spock work; he should have known he’d be working. He kept waiting for Spock to show. After three hours of waiting, he decided to look for him. He leans against the desk, “Hiding?”
Spock looks up, “No. If I were hiding, you would not find me.”
Jim laughs, “I know you do not care for parties, but I was hoping that you’d be there with me.”
Spock finishes his test, “Is that something that couples do?”
Jim leans into him, “Yes. I know this is new to you, but I’d very much like my husband to join me.”
Spock puts down the pad, “Bonded. We are bonded.”
Jim smiles, “I know. But I prefer to call you my husband.” He pecks Spock’s lips, “We don’t have to stay long. I have plans for you later.”
Spock gives Jim a Vulcan kiss, “Do you wish for us to get married?”
Jim swallows hard, “Yeah. I’d like that.”
Spock kisses him, “Then we will do so.”
Bones grunts, “That is one crappy marriage proposal.”
Jim huffs, “What are you doing here?”
Bones crosses his arms over his chest, “Looking for you two idiots. They brought out the good stuff. We should go before all is gone.”
