   Summary

   ”God,” Marshall choked, yanking Benedikt’s limp body out of reach. “Do not touch him, Bàba. If you try to take him from me I swear I will not hesitate to put a bullet through your brain.”

   “He is dead, Marshall,” said his father, his voice full of false pity. General Shu’s hand came down on Benedikt’s arm.

   “I know,” Marshall sobbed. “So am I.” He raised his gun.

   Then Marshall awoke with a start.
