“I’ve been told you saved my life,” Dazai says, after the door closes and they are (dangerously, terrifyingly) alone.
Oda feels his breath stick in his chest, a sharp pain somewhere between his ribcage and his diaphragm. “You don’t sound very happy about it.” He raises an eyebrow. It’s an attempt to hide the way his eyes keep drifting, but he’s terrified Dazai knows exactly what he’s thinking.
