Summary
She hears for the first time about the bear attacks from her favorite booth in the Weathervane. It goes without saying, all of that happens after her first quad of the day. (She likes her coffee strong enough for the barista to be suspected of attempted poisoning. It should be reckoned that before she had at least a heavily caffeinated cup to drink, even badly lacerated cadavers are not enough to sway her out of her slumber. She sleeps like the deads and awake like a zombie, uses to declare her father with a burning pride.) The attacks are the talk of the town, or at least of the coffee shop. Wednesday can understand: at long last, something happens in the place other that the competition for the title of less eventful city in America.
Wednesday accepts to manage a new flower shop at Jericho, the most boring town possible, to discover a Hyde and a cure to her blank page syndrom. Instead, she only finds an angry small-town barista, a black kitten, and a handful of dead bodies.
