Swirling lights began to surround Rory. “Promise me! Give me your word!” Rory demanded.
“No,” Lucifer said, stubbornly. Chloe turned to face Lucifer. “I won’t do to you what my own father did to me. I will always be there for you. We will be a happy family. THAT is what I promise.” Rory faded. Lucifer turned to face Chloe and saw that a tear started to emerge from her left eye.
“You promise?” Chloe asked softly. Lucifer nodded.
“Yes. I will never abandon the woman I love and our daughter.” Chloe smiled and kissed Lucifer.
Because Lucifer had vowed to stay, the timeline changed. Meaning that they forgot that Rory was ever there because she never was. Everything that happened in S6 from Lucifer, Chloe and Dan’s points of view would’ve happened differently. In this new timeline, Chloe realised that Dan needed to speak to Trixie to get to Heaven and after doing so, Dan ascended into Heaven. Lucifer then realised his purpose of helping souls and would do that job, but also be with Chloe.
A few days after getting Dan to Heaven, Lucifer & Chloe were sitting in the penthouse. “Are you O.K.?” Lucifer asked.
“Yes. We got Dan to where he should be,” Chloe replied.
“How’s the urchin?”
“She’s fine. She’s a bit shaken up about her experience, but she’ll get through it. She’s a strong girl.” Lucifer smiled. Chloe stood up.
“Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I just need some air.” Chloe walked towards the balcony. But then, all of a sudden, she collapsed.
“Chloe!” Lucifer shouted as he rushed over as quickly as she could.
Chloe woke up in the hospital and turned her head. “Lucifer?” Chloe asked faintly. Lucifer looked up.
“Oh, thank God you’re alright. No pun intended.” Chloe smiled.
“Are you O.K.?”
“I feel alright. What happened?”
“You were walking towards the balcony, claiming you needed some air, and you just collapsed. I brought you here as fast as possible.” A doctor then walked in.
“Ah. You’re awake. Good.”
“So what happened doctor?” Lucifer asked.
“Congratulations Ms. Decker. You’re pregnant.” Lucifer & Chloe looked at each other, shocked at what they’d just been told.
“Can you give us a minute please?” Chloe asked.
“Sure.” The doctor then left the room and closed the door.
“How? How is this possible?” Lucifer asked.
“Lucifer, calm down,” Chloe recommended.
“This shouldn’t be possible. It only worked for Amenadiel because he was more human at the time. It would only work for us if you were more…”
“What?”
“The necklace,” Lucifer realised. “That night where we had sex all night long and you were holding the necklace.” Chloe smiled, remembering how amazing that sex was. “The necklace is what caused this.” Lucifer sat back down.
“How are you feeling?” Chloe asked as she placed her hand on Lucifer’s.
“I’m going to be a dad.”
“How does it feel?”
“I never thought that i’d be a dad. And that if I ever was… i’d be terrible.”
“Lucifer, you’re going to be a great dad. You’ll always be there for him or her.” Lucifer smiled.
“I know I will. I may be helping the souls downstairs, but I will always be here for her.”
“We both will.”
A few hours later, Lucifer & Chloe returned to Chloe’s place to tell Trixie the news. “Trixie, we have something to tell you,” Chloe stated.
“You’re getting married?” Trixie asked, hopeful.
“No,” Chloe replied.
“One day,” Lucifer mouthed. Trixie nodded slightly.
“You’re going to have a little brother or sister,” Chloe stated. Trixie began to smile, whilst shocked.
“Really?”
“Yes monkey.” Trixie instantly hugged Chloe.
“Any names in mind?” Trixie asked.
“Um… if it’s a girl. I was thinking ‘Aurora.’”
“Aurora?” Lucifer asked. “I like that. That’s a nice name.” Chloe smiled.
“Thank you.”
“And what if it’s a boy?” Trixie asked.
“I was thinking of naming him Dan after your dad.” A tear began to emerge from Trixie’s eye. Chloe was worried, thinking that Trixie would disapprove.
“I like that,” Trixie said softly.
“Really?” Trixie nodded.
Later on, Lucifer & Chloe returned to the penthouse. They sat down on the sofa and Chloe put her arms around him. “How are you feeling?” Lucifer asked.
“Amazing,” Chloe replied. “I’m having another child and you’re having your first.”
“I never thought I would have a life like this.” Chloe looked up at him.
“What do you mean?”
“I used to be a mess. I never thought i’d fall in love.” Chloe smiled. “I never thought that i’d have a child. But since I am, it’s not something I ever want to lose.” Chloe kissed Lucifer.
“I never want to lose what we have either.” Lucifer thought for a moment. “What is it?” Chloe asked.
“I was thinking, since this is happening, do you want to move in with me?” Chloe smiled.
“Really?”
“Yes. We can make it work. If it’s O.K. with her, I can turn the floor below this one into a bedroom for Trixie and we can all live here.”
“I’d love that,” Chloe replied. They kissed again and she placed her head on his shoulder.
The next morning, Lucifer & Chloe went to the precinct and walked into Ella’s lab. Ella turned around. “Hey guys,” Ella said. “Welcome back Chloe.”
“Thanks Ella.”
“How does it feel to be lieutenant instead of a detective?” Chloe thought for a moment.
“I’ll still be catching criminals.”
“Your dad’s proud of you,” Lucifer said. Chloe smiled.
“Thank you Lucifer.” Ella smiled at the way Lucifer & Chloe were looking at each other.
“You guys are so sweet together.” Lucifer & Chloe smiled at each other. “You do get your own office this time,” Ella pointed out.
“Yes, that’ll come in handy,” Lucifer said as he looked at Chloe. Chloe knew what Lucifer was referring to from the way he was looking at her.
“We’ll discuss that later,” Chloe stated. “But for now, we have something to tell you Ella.”
“Go on. What is it?” Chloe looked at Lucifer and he smiled. She turned back to face Ella.
“I’m pregnant.”
“Really?”
“Yes. We discovered it yesterday.” Ella then started cheering so loudly that everyone else in the precinct could hear her. Ella instantly hugged Chloe and then Lucifer.
“We have to celebrate this,” Ella said eagerly. “We can invite everyone to Lux tonight and celebrate.”
“We will. Linda, Maze, Amenadiel and Eve don’t actually know yet, but they will.”
