Work Text:
He curls himself further into a ball, tears running down his eyes.
It's over - his career, reputation.
His eyes widen.
Nagi.
He lets out an anguished scream, throat burning from his cries with no one to blame but himself.
After all, who would want the spoils of a scandal?
In his sorrow and despair, he feels gentle arms wrapping around behind him, wrapping him in tight.
"W-Why?" Isagi chokes, bewildered, perplexed.
“Because when you said ‘keep your eyes on me’, I kept them,” Nagi replies easily,
“And when I said the words ‘til death do us part’, I meant them.”
