Work Text:

The HPSC was beginning to piss Shouta off. They were sticking their noses where they didn't belong - in both his relationship with Hizashi, and his feral arsonist child. He stalked up to Nedzu's office at UA, a plan already forming in his mind. If the HPSC wasn't going to leave him alone of their own accord, then he would just have to make them.

Besides, Dabi needed a friend.

Yes, the boy had finally grown to trust them more over the year he'd been living with Shouta, even telling him small things about how he was living on the streets and vague descriptions of what lead to it. Never anything identifiable about his former family, however. Never anything identifiable about his former family other than his three younger siblings.

"Yes, Aizawa-kun?"

Ah. He'd arrived.

Sitting at the desk was the mix of animals that made up the Principle of UA High School. "Principle Nedzu," he greeted, "I need help stealing a child."

There was no reason not to be blunt about this. Nedzu was difficult to gauge, so he figured cutting straight to the chase was his best move to enlist his boss' help. The HPSC was uneased by Nedzu, after all. And for a good reason, too.

"Oh?" Nedzu's face broke into a dangerous grin.

"The HPSC's getting on my nerves.  What better way to get them to f- lay off than to steal one of their kids as well as evidence of everything they've done to the kid?" Nedzu's grin widened almost impossibly far. Shouta, however, knew better than to let his unease at the look show. Apparently, though, he had said the key words of HPSC and steal in the same sentence, as Nedzu typed away rapidly on his laptop.

"Here we go," the Principle hummed with a grin. With that, he began explaining the plan.

Out of everything Hizashi had expected from his boyfriend, returning to his apartment with a blonde, winged boy in tow was not one of those things. Then again, he supposed it should have been expected after he ended up bringing Dabi home.

This boy was stoic and young. Younger than Dabi, based on how he looked. But he was also muscular and appeared to have red welts peeking up from under his collar, barely visible unless you were looking for injuries.

"Shou?" he asked.

"Hizashi, Dabi, this is Keigo. He's fourteen. Keigo, these are Yamada Hizashi and Dabi."

The boy, Keigo, dropped into a proper bow and greeted the two. Hizashi turned to share a look with Dabi. Shouta wasn't discouraged, instead addressing both teens. "You're going to be sharing a room for the time being, but I'll start looking around for a bigger place. No, you two don't have to consider each other siblings and no, I won't make either of you act as siblings."

With that, Shouta turned and took off to the kitchen to presumably make coffee. Hizashi blinked after him, before turning back to Keigo.

"So," Dabi said, "how'd he grab you?"

"Broke into HPSC headquarters with some sort of rat - cat? - thing and took me while the creature downloaded my training videos from the security cameras." Keigo said all of this as though it wasn't worrying, which only worried Hizashi more. Had Shouta really just kidnapped a teenager? "How'd he get you?"

"I was making a deal with a villain and he dragged me here after dropping the villain off at the police station."

Hizashi sighed as the two boys walked off to their room, a tense conversation between them, and resigned himself to his fate. At least this had to be the last adoption. Shouta barely even liked kids.

Then again, his boyfriend was a hero, through and through. If that meant taking in traumatized kids, who was Hizashi to stop him?

As blue flame erupted from the door of the boy's room, another thought crossed his mind.

"Please just let the house survive these two."

As if on cue, Dabi was thrown through the wall.
