   Summary

   Major spoilers of V3!!! In the end, the 53rd killing game was a simulation after all. Of sorts. After ending the game, Shuichi wakes up in a hospital, greeted by the very people he saw die. Although everyone is alive, their non-fatal injuries are with them when they wake, but everyone's okay. Except for Kokichi, whose injuries are so bad that he hasn't woken up yet. Despite everyone's hatred for Kokichi, Shuichi still cares for him, more intensely than he will admit to himself, and makes sure to thank him and take care of him. Kokichi wakes up, basically bed-ridden 'cuz of his injuries. But he's happy Shuichi made it. He loves him. He knows it's not recriprocated, but he loves him so much it hurts. Basically this is a post-game story of Kokichi's (not actually) one-sided love for Shuichi and how to navigate moving forward when everyone hates him with a childish smile as he ignores his intense trauma as Shuichi handles his guilt over the game and his own trauma because of it. I PROMISE IT'LL GET HAPPY!!!
