Tweek slept peacefully on his bed, enjoying the amount of space he had to stretch his body across it but then waking up and frowning at the emptiness of it all. He cracked his eyes open after feeling the empty space next to him, which was usually occupied by his husband’s body. He groaned and sat up, looking around the room and then huffing when he saw no sign of Craig anywhere in their room.
The empty space next to him was still warm so Craig couldn’t have gone far yet, he was most likely still in the house but that didn’t comfort Tweek, why would Craig be leaving the bed so early? Usually, he waited for him to wake up, even if he took hours. He snapped his head towards the door when he heard it open. Craig walked through the doors and smiled at him when he saw he was awake.
“Morning, hun.” Craig greeted, kneeling onto the bed, and crawling over to Tweek to give him a light peck on the lips. Tweeks frown faded, turning into a lazy smile and then he began stretching his arms and back once Craig removed himself from the bed. Tweek stared at Craig in confusion when he realized that he was dressed already. “Going somewhere?” Tweek asked, hiding his disappointment at the assumption.
“Yeah, with you. So, get dressed.” Craig said, picking up empty mugs and water bottles that were on their nightstand and before Tweek could ask where Craig was taking him so early in the morning, he walked out of the room, leaving Tweek alone once again.
Tweek laid back, deciding to wait for Craig to return before dressing up to see where they were going but after a few minutes he realized Craig wasn’t going to come back and was most likely waiting for him to get ready while doing some house chores like the dishes in the meantime. Tweek groaned loudly, aiming for Craig to hear the misery he was feeling of so much activity going on as soon as he awoke.
He knew Craig didn’t care and was most likely ignoring his whines so he just decided to get up and get dressed so he could figure out what Craig was planning to do on a Saturday morning. “This is totally against our vows.” Tweek mumbled under his breath, he knew his statement was an exaggeration and a complete lie, but he was just not a morning person like Craig was.
He finished getting ready and then walked out of their bedroom and towards the kitchen where Craig was doing the dishes, just like he had assumed. “Where are we going?” Tweek asked, struggling with the buttons on his shirt. “It’s a surprise” Craig smiled, buttoning up Tweeks shirt for him after drying his hands with a paper towel. “Eat breakfast first, though.” he said, pointing to the plate on the kitchen counter with fried eggs and toast. “Alright…” Tweek agreed, looking suspiciously at Craig but deciding to comply with whatever Craig had in mind.
After Tweek finished eating, Craig told him to hold onto a bag of bread and led him inside the car. Tweek looked around the area, trying to put together the pieces Craig had displayed for him and once he saw a large pond with multiple ducks swimming around in it, he grinned widely. Craig parked the car in the grass and got out of the car, Tweek following immediately after.
He gripped the bag of bread he had in his hands, smiling as Craig held out his hand for him to take and then leading him to sit down on the empty bench in front of the pond. “Oh my god, Craig.” Tweek laughed, his heart beating in his chest. “You probably don’t remember but, when we were kids, you said you wanted to be one of those old people who feed the ducks at a pond.” Craig recalled, not daring to look into Tweeks eyes, suddenly feeling shy, even at his age.
He didn’t need to look at Tweeks eyes to know how he was feeling, though. Tweek scooting closer to him, enough for their shoulders and thighs to touch was enough. Craig squeezed Tweeks hand, slowly allowing himself to look over at the blond who was smiling at the view in front of them.
After a few minutes of silence, Tweek put the bag of bread in-between the two and they began to rip pieces of bread and throw them into the pond and onto the grass where a few ducks were walking on. They didn’t leave when they ran out of bread though, they stayed there, Tweek laying his head atop Craigs shoulder and Craig laying his head on Tweeks.
“You make me so happy, Craig. The happiest.” Tweek sighed, turning his head for a second to kiss Craigs shoulder. “You deserve to be happy. I love you.” Craig replied, squeezing Tweeks hand once more and smiled when Tweek squeezed it back. “I love you more.” Tweek said and Craig laughed at that.
“Impossible.”
