Work Text:
Satoru is crouching in front of his car while trying to make the “pst—pst” sound to lure the small-adorable kitten out of his car engine. He could hear the faint “meow” under his car but the kitten itself was nowhere to be seen.
“Pst—pst! Kitty! You know you have to pay if you want to hitch a ride,” he’s been “pst—pst—ing” the kitten for what feels like twenty minutes. It's a futile attempt. The kitten was not interested with his “pst—pst”.
Food. Yes. Probably the kitten would be much more interested with food rather than his twenty minutes of “pst—pst”. He is glad that the convenience store is not far from where he parked. He kinda hopes that the kitten would somehow leave his car by itself while he’s buying the food. But yeah, he could still hear the faint “meow” when he came back to his car.
Satoru on all four with his head under the car could see a glimpse of white fur, so he put the food under that spot. But there’s no reaction from the kitten, he thought that the kitten might not realize that there is food.
“Pst—pst kitty I bring you food!” Satoru still has not finished with the “pst—pst”.
But, to his surprise the kitten now responded to his “pst—pst” by moving to a much more reachable spot. He now could see where the kitten is! His long hand tried to reach the kitten, but the closer his hand got, the more the kitten would sink itself deeper into the car engine.
“Dammit you kitty!” he cursed as if the kitten could understand.
He grabbed some of the kitten food with his bare hand and brought it closer to the kitten, “Kitty come here,” he could see the kitten was quite hesitant to get closer to his hand so he grabbed more of the kitten food. To his surprise, the kitten jumped to his hand.
“Gotcha!”
He finally pulled his head out of the car with a kitten in his hand. His neck was sore as hell. He walked to the side of the road near some bushes and put the cat and the food there.
“Do not go to the road okay, stay there! Bye!”

“What is that Gojo?” she said with a disbelieved face.
“Kitten!” he replied with one-hundred-twenty-percent spirit. Yes. He did not have a heart to leave the small-adorable kitten to stray on the road.
“I know it’s a kitten! Where did you get that?”
“He’s stuck inside my car engine, Hime.”
“Then why you bring it home?” Utahime replied snappishly.
“Adopt me pwease!” Satoru replied with his ‘baby-voice’ while putting the cat in front of Utahime's face. He uses the power of an adorable kitten to melt Utahime’s heart.
“It’s a kitten Gojo! It’s a living thing!” She is not hating the kitten. She just thought that having a pet is for someone that is responsible. Well, Gojo is a ‘responsible’ husband and a 'responsible' person (and sometimes not).
“I’ll take care of it! Promised!”
Utahime sigh. Well, lowkey, Gojo looks adorable with the kitten, his annoyance rate drops thirty-percent with the kitten in his hand and she knew even though she said ‘No’ Gojo would beg on her nonstop.
“Fine! But it’s not my responsibility to clean the litter box, to give him food, or to groom him. You’re the one who adopted him, so you’re the one who is gonna take care of it!”

Six month later
“Hime, I already give him food,”
“But, he is meowing!” Utahime replied while trying to get the cat food up the cabinet. Shiro—the name of the kitten that now grew into a fluffy cat—could not stop brushing his body against Utahime’s feet. As expected, it only took a few weeks for Utahime to completely be a sucker for the cat.
“He’s gonna get obese, Hime.” warn Satoru. He loved seeing Utahime with Shiro. Especially when Shiro cuddles near Utahime’s baby bump. Yes, she’s pregnant.
“But the meow is so loud, what if he’s hungry?” she still insisted.
