Todays the day when I finally get some peace and quite and hopefully fly through the year, Im gonna major in psychology and minoring in criminology
Hi.. im milei choi and your my diary
Coming from a bit of a smaller town ,I lived in a tiny apartment with my mother so i wasn't bringing much but clothes, posters, my laptop and fairy lights, I hope my roomie wouldn't mind
As i had lots of them...
The first day for the freshman to move in Was hot, hotter than it should be in august! 'This is june sweat right here, glad I didn't have much to bring' i think as me and mother grab as many bags from my little car as possible
Looking back at my phone to see which floor im on
"Alright, ma this says im the fourth floor, room 10"i say as my mother shuts my trunk closed
"Oo baby we gonn have to take the elevator, i got bad knees y'know"she says as we start to walk closer to the dormitory
"Maa i know you see all dis folk outt her bustlin around" i say turnin back to her takin some of her bags "when we get to the stairs just make sure nobody gets in me way ay?" I say joking with her
My mother giving me a stern look before cracking a smile
"Dont you boss me around child"
Still leading the way
As i thought, the elevator was full when i seen it before it closed and the stairs were a little empty, when we got to my assigned dorm the door was already open 'i suppose i am a bit later than everybody else'
My mother walks in scanning the room first speaking to the three people in there
"Ello! Im CC this is me daughter milei" she says loudly with her little accent, sitting the bags down on the floor of the empty side
"Oh hello! Im dana these are my two daughters joy and celeste"
The blonde haired lady says walking over with a big smile
"Joy is gonna be your kids roomie"
Setting the bags down slowly, I look around, and... this place is actually bigger then my kitchen
Most of it already had furniture,
a bunk bed with a desk under it
A little bit next to it is a window with a love seat under it and on the other side of the bed was a small dresser and a mirror on it
It seemed they had been working on the room for a while
Looking at the side that would be mine there was a bed that seemed to be the other part of the bunk bed on this side of the room
Looking back to my mother it seemed the two mothers helping their children had become friendly with eachother
"Milei, come over her an say ello eh?" Trudging over to my mother making eye contact
With the girl who is said to be my roomie
Shes taller than everyone in the room, a whole head actually
Her hair was long a black in a low ponytail, deep black eyes staring down on you, playing with the ring on her lip, noticing she has more piercings, both sides of her nose and her ears both have three bottom rings on them each
Shes wearing some band tee and black joggers arms folded standing behind both our moms,
Feeling like she judging me a bit
i start thinking back on MY outfit... maybe im a little over dressed? I mean im in a light black cropped shirt with MCR in big bold letters on the front and then on the back its the bands tour dates and a navg blue gene skirt with my maryjanes on, my mother picked this out just to play it safe today.
Maybe this smokey eye i did was to smokey...

"Celeste over there is my youngest, we've been here since 11 i think?" The blonde haired lady says looking at her watch
"It took us an hour to get here, we live in a smaller city off mounds round" my mother says replying to the lady
"Oh we live just a few minutes away, i could never be to far from my babies"she says giggling " oh! You two must have so much unpacking to do how about we help?" She says turning around to pick up some of there trash off the floor
"That would be so sweet! Mi? How about you go down snd get the rest of your stuff and ill organize everything here for ya eh?" My mother says looking back at me "ay ma" replying back to my ma and before i could leave, the other mother pips up "joy! Since you dont have anything to do, go help that sweet girl bring the rest of her stuff up yeah?"
A soft sigh and a nod from the girl had her following me out the door, as they got down the hall
The taller stuck her hand out
"Joy, but you can call me jj" in a rapsy ' i just woke up voice'
Shaking her hand, looking up and giving her a smile "Milei, my ma calls me Mimi!" I say as she opens the door to the stairwell
Now as we got to the lobby there were way to many bodies roaming around checking in, chatting, finding friends yada yada
We get outside walking to my car thats thankfully parked closer to front for a quicker trip, i whip out my keys unlocking my car and makin my way to its butt
"This little bug is yours?" Joy says chuckling "how'd you fit all your stuff in here.."she says as im opening the trunk
"Well i dont have much anyway, my room back home is kinda tiny sooo" i say handing her bags to cary giving her three and me two "and this is my grannys car, which is allll payed off i just got get that once in a while check up" i say shrugging my shoulders
Leaving one box that just had a bunch my glass appliances leaving that for when it was less busy out and i close the trunk.
"You take thooose ill take these and that'll be it, i just gotta grab something out my front seat" i say walking to my driver door and setting my bags down to open it
grabbing a blanket and my little hard drive man bending over to look over the passenger for my charger
"You smoke?" I hear from behind me
"Maryjane?" I say looking through my middle console
"The one and only " joy says as i climb out my car a smile on her face as i turn to her
"How'd you know?" I say smirking pocketing my little Hardrive man
"I took a guess, we should smoke together sometime" she says as we start heading back to the building
In our dorm my mom finished half my bags, clothes and blankets folded on the bed
The sound of my mothers laughter filing the room
The blondie having a giant smile on her face like she had finished a joke of some kind
"Mi! Dana told me she has an extra desk that you can have for your dorm! It is glass do so you must be careful" my mother says as i set the rest of my bags down
"Really? Thank you so much, my own back home dosent actually breakdown to fit to smaller spaces" i say giving the lady a big smile
"Oh its fine i have no use for it anymore, i should thank you for taking it off my hands" she says chuckling
When it hits three both mothers agree on getting food and leave together to let the new roomies settle and to drop the little sister off at home
"I'll be back mimi, play nice!" My mom says leaving out the door with soft smile
"Im always nice!" I say in a whiney tone from the floor putting my tiny shoe rack together joy sitting next to her basically doing all the work
"Didn't you call me a monkey ealrier?" Joy questions teasingly
"Bro! You we're hanging from your bed like they were monkey bars" you say dramatically
"Barley, my feet got an inch off the floor" she says chuckling
"Yeah..ok but imagine breaking your bed, and its only move in day" i say in a preppy voice giggling moving over to pull my shoes out as joy was almost done
"Alright meanie, 21 questions! how old are you?" She says setting the rack up right so it could be adorned with my demonias and sneakers
"Im 19, you?" I say setting all my beautiful shoes down on the rack one by one
"20, whats your favorite color? Mine is red" she says getting up off the floor and picking up the plastic from the packaging
"Hmmm dark blue, whens your birthday?" I say turning around to watch her
"July 1st, what about you bun?"
'Bun?'
"October 30th, i was tricker treating in the womb" i say doing a funny pose
"And who is bun?"
"You" joy says nonchalantly as she sits in the love seats still keeping eye contact with me
"Ill find cute little name for you"
I say walkin to my pile of posters to put them up
...
We continue on with our little games as finish stringing my fairy lights, i pulled out two of my rugs layed them out and our mothers come back with of course, chicken and drinks
After eating and another hour after that our mothers are making there leave kisses and hugs and promises of seeing eachother next week and daily phone calls they make their way out
"Ugg im spent, im gonna take a nap" i say walking over to my bed to make it and sleep
"Here"says joy behind me
I turn around to find a bag of cheez-Its in hand
"Aww thank yo-OOoOh" a yawn interrupting my sentence
Joy chuckles heading to her bed aswell
After making up my bed and laying down it dosent take long for me to drift to sleep thinking about the dark eyes watching me from across the room
Almost an hour later theres a loud knock at the door rising me out of my sleep sitting up quickly
"I got it" comes from joy as my blurry eyes make out her shoving something under her pillow, tipping to open the door
"Hello!! My name is molly im your dean im on the 2nd floor 1st room 1d, im just going door to door going over some rules and just getting used to new faces!"
"Joy and milei correct?" She says in a high pitched voice
"Yeah thats us" joy says opening the door wider so the girl at the door had view of me
"Alright!..."
And obviously everything after that i block out, she gives us both a pamphlet with various emails to our teachers, map of the campuse and a list of our sports and activities
And left with a loud bye
Hearing her loud knock on the next door as our own shuts
"Damn she talks alot" joy says out loud throwing the pamphlet on her desk
"Is everything she said in this thing? cause i definitely fell asleep sitting up" i said flopping back in bed
"Yeah, no reason for me to read over that thing" she says reaching back under her pillow
"She said since today is Friday we have the next two days off sooo...
You wanna smoke?"she says walking closer my side of the room
Immediately sitting up and getting out bed letting off a big smile"of course!" Walking over to my shoe rack grabbing my sandle crocs
"Eugh them bright pink ass sandals! Are those crocs?"
Joy laughs disbelief on her face, pointing at my shoes
"Heeyy these are cute! And they have fur on the inside" i say folding my arms
"Bro, and your wearing socks with them? Let the dogs out" she says laughing even louder
"I aint got no dogs! And they dont bark either, cmon lets go" i say grabbing my phone and keys of my bed heading towards the door
"Alright bun lets go"
She says calming down to walk out with me
Looking at the time reads 5:40
"I hope you know somewhere nice cause the sun sets at 8:30 goose" i say poping my phone into my skirt pocket
"Yeah yeah, dont worry ill get you home before your bed time"she says in teasing tone
Looking over i see a fat smirk on her face"oh whatever!" I say as we get into the elevator
'Going down'
The elevator beeps starting up music"is that lofi playing?" I say outloud listening to the music
"Tf is that, this shit sounds like it from some kids show" joy says on her phone
"You say you aint never listed the homework lofi girl?" Looking up at the taller
"No I mostly listen to rock so i dont know nothin about your cartoons" i feel like shes just tryin to piss me off so I continue without acknowledging her comment
'Ground floor'
"Well theres all different types you should take a listen" i say walking out the doors as they open, joy right on my heels
We walk outside and off campus leading into the neighborhood that was right of the schools main road
"You got friends here bun?"
Joy asks as we make our way,
Sun still blaring down on us
"Uhh no i wish i did, i had one back home but they went to a college like three states over soo" i say playing with my hair
" i knew you were to clingy" she says chuckling shoving her hands in her pockets
"Clingy?! I wouldn't say that im just really trying to make a friend! If you were talking to sophomore me, I wouldn't even look at you ok? Ive had lots of improvement" I say, waving my hands around
"And my ma says i have a very infectious personality so" shrugging taking my hardrive man out of my pocket and hitting it
"Look at you hitting that little pixie stick... let me hit it mine died last week"she says her hand out as we turn a corner
"Ask nicely next time you goose"
You say still putting it in her hand anyways
"Goose?"joy questions
"Its cause your so tall, would you rather i call you a giraffe?"
I say with a small smirk
"Im pretty sure your just short, im only like 5'10"she says rolling her eyes
"'Liiiikkeee'?? Jesus your the next lebron james missy" i say in a British accent laughing hard

"Shes right about your personality, your quite the weirdo" joy says a little quite
"Is that supposed to be offensive or a compliment..."
"Take it how you hear it"
"Then thank yoouu!" I say starting to do a little dance as we got closer to the park a smile on my face, looking over to see joy chuckling as she walks
As we find a little corner of the park to sit by ourselves(which wasnt hard since the park was huuge!) we sat behind some trees to lean against the fence
We sit facing eachother just having light conversation
After a min or two joy whips out the beloved blunt for us and lights it up
"How long you been smokin for"
Joy says after takin a couple quick hits then passing it me
"Uhh, since i was 15 im pretty sure?" I say taking a big hit, I needed that its been a buussy week
"Awhh a little rule breaker eh?
Dont worry im worse than you, i started when i was 13"she says chuckling a bit
"Damn, what got you there?"i say takin another hit passing it back to her
As she goes to grab it , i look down to her arms just now noticing she the half sleeves on her arms leading all the way down to her finger tips
One side is filled with dark vines of roses rapped around a word in Chinese i didint know,as the vines went down they spread out more into different inking that kind of looked like shadows all the way to her fingers
Looking at the other side there were bright clouds twisted around another work but the character was different as it went down a big sun made way through the clouds making them less and less with a moon right under it with little and big stars around it
"Yo, you still there?" I hear joy say
"Yeah sorry what were you saying?"
...
We left when the sky started turning an pinkish orange sky,
Eyes lidded and feeling goofy
I was singing to a song joy didint know, getting closer to our dorms
"Let me calm down theres still people out here"i say giggling trying to take a deep breath
"Ah lord we only smoked two blvnts"joy says pinching the bridge of her nose
"Hey! I basically took a break from smoking for like... a month cause i went back to Jamaica to see my mother's family ok!" I say sounding like a child
"Jamaica? Is that where your from" joy says
"Yeah me and my ma lived there till her and my sperm doner split, then we moved here to hartsville"i say walking up the steps to reach the door
At that Joy lets out a loud cackle
"Dammmmmnnn you got daddy issues too?"she says laughing harder
"I dont like to call it that cause he never even felt like a dad or acted as one"i say chuckling a bit "whats with your daddy issues?" Looking over at her
"Ooooh my dad? Hes in jail,
And if he ever gets out alive you wont find me talkin to him"joy says tryin to control her laughter as we make it inside
"Men are just trash arent they?"
I say skipping to the elevator to push the button "im pretty sure me and you are on the same wave length" joy say chuckling
"As we should be"
