Back in their very first meeting, Chatte had been confused when she'd introduced herself as Chatte Noire, heroine extraordinaire. She'd had a split second of confusion, and then shrugged it off. It couldn't hurt to - pretend.
Then she'd realised that this isn't the pretence. Adrien is.
She tells Ladybug her name, late one night. The lights of the Eiffel tower are the only other witness to Ladybug's fear.
"It's okay," Chatte tells her. "You're the only person who knows my name. Everyone else knows me by- a wrong one."
Ladybug's expression softens. "Ma chattonne," she whispers, and holds Chatte tight.
