Stede hears Izzy's breath catch and watches with concealed interest at the way his lips part, like he's going to say something, but quickly shuts them, and 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬, that makes him feel triumphant. It also makes him feel another way, but Stede isn't going to unpack that yet. 𝘍𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯!

Izzy nods, adamantly refusing to look Stede in the eyes.
"What did I tell you to do?" Now Stede knew he was just being cruel, but the way Izzy scowled at the floor before repeating back the order made Stede feel all the more victorious.
