Chapter Text
“Marz!” Someone yelped. I whirled around to see a civilian lady struggling to get her child back from a villain I’ve never encountered before. The villain had blonde hair that reached past his chin. He wore dark sunglasses and a mask, along with loose pants and a zip up shirt.
I quietly sprinted across the street behind the villain and lifted him up with my telekinesis. He dropped the little boy in surprise which I was definitely not ready for, but luckily the boy’s mother caught him. “Oh my sweet baby boy” she said cupping her hands to his chin. “Are you alright?” The boy nodded and clung to his mother, bursting into tears.
“Thank you so much Marz,” the lady said. I smiled at her. “Of course, I hope you get home safely,” She nodded, picked up her kid and walked off. As she did, the villain I had previously suspended in the air kicked me in the back of the head, breaking my concentration on suspending him, letting him fall to the ground. “Bye, bye Marz!” he called teasingly, beginning to run away. I shook my head to get out of my daze and sprinted after him.
It didn’t take long before I caught up with him, he was a very slow runner. I managed to grab his shirt and yank him back towards me but as I did that he grabbed something from his pocket and said some colorful choice words you shouldn’t repeat, as he did that he got out of my grasp. He pointed whatever he pulled out of his pocket at me and said, “I have a weapon and I’m not afraid to use it!” “Uh huh, and what are you going to do with a nerf gun?” I retorted.
“Wait what?” he looked down at his hands with surprise. “Gosh darn it I grabbed the wrong one!” I used my telekinesis to rip the toy gun out of his hands and put it on the sidewalk. Then I rushed over to the villain and spun him around, pinning his arms to his back. “Hey! Let me go!” he exclaimed. “Nope, you’re going to prison,” I said, pulling out handcuffs and putting them on his wrists. The villain sighed and mumbled something under his breath that sounded something along the lines of, “Let’s see how Arlo reacts to this,”
Eventually we got to the police station which unfortunately happened to be a 15 minute walk away. “Good evening Marz!” a familiar voice called. “Evening Officer Carmichael” I replied. “Oh my goodness gracious, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Jack!” Jack exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air with fake anger. I giggled. “At Least 19 times,” “Do you need a chamber for this young man?” Jack asked. “You bet, I caught him picking on some lady and her kid,” I replied. “Just picking?” he asked teasingly. I shrugged. “He may or may not have been trying to take her kid,” “Well it was all my brother’s fault! He convinced me to do it!” the villain snapped. “Aww, well that’s too bad. Maybe he can come and bust you out” I said sarcastically.
