Everyone returned t' thar ships aft touchin' the Paradox Prism. Cap'n Storm turned t' his first mate Kai, givin' 'im a wee kiss on the cheek.
"Glad t' be back, ye?" he said.
Kai chuckled. "Ye know it!"
"Buckaneer, Sinch. Hoist the main sail 'n chart course. We be gettin' back t' siren huntin'."
The ship sailed along the seas, wit' Storm keepin' it steady as Kai watched the compass 'n map.
"Cap'n? Sirens go that way." he said.
"I know."
"Then... Why aren't ye steerin' that way?"
"'cause I be busy."
"Busy? Fer wha'?"
"Busy fer me love."
"Oh, belay that." Kai chuckled, feelin' hisself blush a wee.
"Why stop? Ye're always a cutie."
"Shiver me timbers! Ye love me, Storm."
"O' course I love ye Kai. Let me protect ye forever. Ye're me beauty, 'n I wish no harm upon ye."
"Oh, that's sweet- SWERVE!" Kai yelped, hijackin' the wheel 'n steerin' around a wee island.
"Garr..." He breathed a sigh o' relief. Storm kissed 'im afore pullin' back.
"Thanks, lass."
"I-I... Y-Ye're ahoy, Storm."
Dread, Black Rose, Sails, 'n Batten all returned back t' the ship where Catfish 'n Froggy we be.
"So... Wha' now, Cap'n?" Batten asked.
"That was incredible! We leapt from an explodin' shuttle, 'n we fought back the Chaos Council! That was amazin'!" Black cheered.
"Aye, 'twas." Dread agreed.
"So, wha' now, Cap'n?" Sails asked.
"We relax."
"Uh, come again Cap'n?" Batten said.
"Ye heard me. Jus' relax, 'ave some sea dogs, let our worries sail off into the sunset."
"It's first in the mornin'."
"Close enough. Now, how about a sea shanty?"
"Er, no Cap'n. But... We we be wonderin' if..." Sails paused.
"If we can 'ave another adventure. Can we? Please?"
"No."
"Why nah?" Batten asked.
"A storm be approachin'." Dread pointed t' the storm in the distance. The crew paused, starin' at the darkened clouds as they crept closer t' the ship.
"... Oh." Sails said aft a moment.
"Everyone! Batten down the hatches, now!" he ordered.
Everyone rushed t' tie down everythin' on the ship afore headin' under the deck where 'twas safe.
Dread paused, noticin' an odd glint in the distance.
A shinin' blue beacon, wit' debris swirlin' around it.
'twas the Devil's Lighthouse.
Dread's eyes lit up in curiousity, steerin' towards the beacon.
"It's the gem. It's beauty calls t' me!" he swerved the ship towards it, only t' knock into Storm's ship instead.
"Gah! Wha' gives?!"
"Wha' gives?! Ye well-nigh knocked me scallywag off me ship!" Storm snapped.
"Storm, please-" Kai said.
Storm smartly gave 'im another kiss afore goin' t' the side o' the ship t' natter more directly t' Dread.
"Did ye 'ave t' be aggressive wit' yer kisses?" Kai asked.
"No, but I love ye. So why nah?" Storm said.
"Eh, fair enough."
"Now, back t' ye fer trying t' knock by mate off me ship!"
"I told ye afore, Storm. Ye knocked into me ship first!" Dread spat.
"I didn'!"
"Ye did too!"
"The Davy Jones' locker be wrong wit' ye?! Do ye even know who ye're natterin' t'?!"
"Aye, I am fully aware o' who ye be. Ye're Knuckles the Dread, Cap'n o' the Angel's Voyage 'n the more feared pirate o' the No Place seas."
"So ye do know... 'n ye're Shadow the Storm, elusive 'n feared by those who dare cross ye."
"Ah, ye're aware o' me, too."
"Aye, I be aware o' ye. 'n I be also aware that ye're bein' an idiotic pirate 'n stoppin' me ship."
"Excuse me?! The fuck be wrong wit' ye, Dread? Don't ye dare call me an idiot!"
"Don't ye dare stop me from reachin' me beauty!"
"Yer beauty?"
"Uh... Scallywags?" Kai tried t' cut in, but the argument continued.
"'n ye reckon ye're so smart, don't ye? Chasin' aft a squiffy rock."
"That rock be more important than ye'll ever know!"
"Everyone! Incomin' storm! Now!" Kai yelled.
"Nah now, me love." Storm brushed 'im back.
Kai huffed, turnin' t' the rest o' the crew 'n rushin' everyone below deck.
"Cap'n. We gotta get below deck. That storm be comin' 'n if we don't-" Batten tried t' say.
"Nah now, poppet. I 'ave a score t' settle." Dread hushed her.
Batten grumbled, slippin' back below deck.
"Alright, whoever gets that gem first be the most legendary pirate along the No Place seas, got that?"
"Aye, loud 'n clear. Godspeed, Scurvy dog." Dread flashed his gold tooth through his smile.Storm growled.
"Scurvy Dog?! I'll show ye who's goin' down t' Davy Jones locker, ye hear me?!"
"Aye, loud 'n clear Dread. Loud 'n clear."
Storm 'n Dread headed t' the wheels o' thar ship, beginnin' t' steer directly into the storm overhead. Lightnin' crackled around 'em as the clouds grew darker 'n darker, rain pourin' onto the deck.
Storm's ship pulled ahead, goin' faster than Dread's 'n weavin' around the jagged rocks.
"Ahoy! Ye motherfucker, get back here so I can cut ye t' pieces!" Dread yelled.
"Ye're the scourge o' the seven seas wit' that kind o' fuckin' attitude, Dread!" Storm shot back.
"'n ye're the scurvy cur who's only thing he's good at be gettin' drunk, gettin' on wit' yer wee scallywag, 'n bein' the worst pirate o' the seas."
"Wha' makes ye nah the worst pirate o' the seas? Ye're a black stain in this damn ocean, meant t' drown t' the trenches 'n bob around like an insane witch, one who only cares about thar squiffy rock 'n naught else!"
"Me beauty calls t' me, 'n be priceless t' ye 'n yer beloved scallywag!"
"Ahoy! Stop insultin' me mate!"
"Why? Tired o' gettin' laid yet?"
"Oh, ye're askin' fer it now!" Storm slammed his ship t' Dread's side afore pullin' away 'n speedin' ahead.
"No! Blast me barnacles off me boots 'cause ye're mighty gonna pay now!" Dread snapped.
Storm sighed. "He swears like a sailor, doesn't he?"
"O' course I do! We be pirates, 'n ye're gettin' blasted t' the bogs o' the trench!"
"'n ye're gonna take a beatin' afore ye go down t' that same trench, aren't ye Dread?"
"Aye, 'n I doubt ye'd be able t' do it."
"Oh, ye dare?"
"Aye."
"Fine then! Let's see how a true legend does it!" Storm spun the wheel, slammin' into Dread's ship.
It spun out o' control, slammin' into a jagged rock 'n crashin' a hole into the side o' his ship.
"Ahoy! The fuck be the matter wit' ye! Get back here Storm! STORM!" he yelled as Storm continued t' sail ahead.
He steered around the rocks afore reachin' the shore. Once the ship was in galleon, he leapt off the ship.
"Goin' somewhere, Cap'n?" Kai asked, runnin' up t' 'im.
"Aye. T' take the shard."
"Shard. Why? I thought we we be goin' siren huntin'."
"That was last week."
"That was a few hours ago!"
"Anyway, we be gonna take the shard 'n make Dread suffer fer darin' t' challenge me! Come on!"
Storm began t' scale the cliffside. Kai sighed, followin' aft 'im. He began t' run up it, pullin' Storm up 'til they reached the top.
"At last... It's mine!" Storm grabbed it.
"Thank ye, me love! Now, let's get out o' here!" he said, skiddin' down the cliff.
Kai followed 'im down, skiddin' on the sand.
Storm swept Kai up into a hug, givin' yet another aggressive kiss on the cheek.
"Do ye 'ave t' do that every time we do stuff together?" Kai asked."
Wha'? Do ye nah like it?"
"No no, I do."
"Great! Now let's go!"
"O'er here!" Buckaneer stretched her tail out t' 'em. Storm held on, keepin' ahold o' Kai 'n the shard as they we be pulled back on deck.
"Thank ye, lass. Now, chart our course. Let's leave this ship. Let Dread swim in his owns fury." Storm chuckled.
Dread bein' furious would like enough be an understatement. He was like enough the most angry he had ever been in years.
"Uh... Cap'n, are ye aye?" Batten asked.
"No, me crew. I am nah aye." Dread said quietly.
"Oh now, he's goin' t' blow." Sails said.
"Hide!" Black hissed, directin' everyone back under the deck as Dread stepped up t' the edge o' the ship.
The cap'n watched Storm's ship sail away into the distance, wit' Kai havin' the honor t' taunt 'im. How dare he?! Does he even know that the gem belongs t' 'im?!
"Ahoy, get back here ye lousy land lovin' lunatics! I'll take me cutlass 'n slice ye t' fuckin' pieces o'er 'n o'er afore sendin' ye down t' the black spotted Davy Jones locker where ye belong, then we'll scrub those barnacles off o' ye 'n hang ye up by yer necks t' dry, ye hear me?!"
... They didn' hear 'im. Leavin' Dread wit' the last o' his dignity 'n pride t' vanish in an instant.
