Chapter Text

Regulus new that everyone leaves eventually. Every time that they say they don't they will and it hurts every time Regulus trusts them and they leave. Regulus is not a person you want to stay with, when you find someone who is better you will automatically choose them over Regulus.

Regulus knew Sirius had to leave, but that was not the problem the problem was that Sirius left Regulus the moment he could go to Hogwarts. It was all James Potters fault if it was not for him and his minions he would still have his brother. Regulus still remembers the disgusted expression that Sirius had when Regulus was sorted in Slytherin and Potter had the audacity to tell him to fuck of when he tried to talk to Sirius after the sorting.But no Sirius was leaving for real this time, Regulus can't pretend that it does not hurt when it is killing him. He is not supposed to care for his brother that is what his parents told Regulus just before Sirius got blasted of the family tree.

Now it was his birthday and he had no one. Of course he had to go to the birthday meal which consists of everyone of the family. It used to be bearable when he and Sirius where children because after Sirius always gave him a cupcake which was terrible but he loved it non the less. However that tradition also stopped when Sirius started Hogwarts. Regulus looked at his hands frowning at his bloodied nailes where he bit them. It was only one week until his 5th year started and he was going to be in the same class as Sirius because Slughorn asked Dumbledore to move him up a class. It was going to be awkward but he just hoped that he could avoid Sirius as much as possible.

"Regulus!" Walburger screeched from downstairs which made Regulus stand up instantly and tried to cover up his hands as he quickly walked down the old wooden stairs . "yes, mother." Regulus asked trying to avoid his shaky voice. Walburger grabbed his hands and hissed "What is this." Regulus started to freak out he had no idea what to do. "Answer me!" She hit his hand and he flinched "I...bit..them." he stuttered not daring to look in his mothers eyes "Regulus do not stutter I taught you better than that and i will not tolerate this behaviour! Everyone is here you better not embarrass me or you can pay for it later."She said while leaving to go to the dinning room. It took Regulus a few minuets to follow.When he entered the room on one side was Bellatrix,Narcissa,cygnus and druella on the other side sat his parents and there was a seat free in between the where he slowly sat down. "Baby Black are you ready?" Bellatrix asked

"Ready for what?"

"To finally get a girlfriend you are 15 now and don't you think it's about time?" Bellatrix asked waiting for Regulus to say something wrong his mother was pressing hard in to his shoulder."Bella you are right but the girl I am interested in I have not yet got the attention of. " Regulus lied

His Mother let go of his shoulder clearly satisfied, but Bella was eying him suspiciously."Well you better make a move quick or she will be taken Reggie." Bella teased. Bellatrix was always his least favourite cousin even when Andromeda was disowned. Both Narcissa and Andromeda had favoured Sirius which should have told him something. Bellatrix was always insane.Fact. For the rest of dinner he tried to not talk much, only when they asked him a question. He put on a fake smile when the presents where given out.

It was nothing he did not already have. Before Sirius left he actually got nice things, not family heirlooms. The day that Sirius left Regulus told him that he hated him. This was not true but of course he would never, could never admit it outloud. When everyone started to leave he put on another smile saying goodbye to everyone he did not want to feel the cruciatus curse ever again. He wondered what his brother was doing. Probably fooling around like he always does. Regulus sighed walking up the stairs exhausted. He got like this every time all of his family came around for a meal tiered and sick.He collapsed onto his bed looking up at the clock, it was only 7.00 but he was to tired to care and he instantly fell asleep. A dreamless night was rare and he treasured them.

You see when he was young and got nightmares he would always go to sirius but the problem with sirius was that in Regulus' first year after having a nightmare he went to the Gryffindor common room to talk to Sirius. Sirius told him to stop being a baby and go back to his snake pit. Potter laughed and that made Regulus cry. This never happened he was always there never called him a baby.

look at where we are now, he is with his real brother he must be really happy to be part of a happy family. Sirius will never see what a dick that James is and he will forget about Regulus one day because he is no one.

The night before he had to go back to school he packed his trunk and did not even bother to do it neatly, If his Mother saw him she would have a heart attack and die which no one wants because that would be a mess to clean up. He snuck out of his room and went into sirius'.It was messy,which what do you expect. There where 3 posters of naked muggle women. On his beds side table was a picture frame of Sirius and James. It was where the picture of him and Regulus used to be and he did not even bother to try and not cry when he saw the change. He took the picture of james and Sirius and put his wand on the rim "Incendio." He wisperd and it erupted into a flame, soon only ash left.

In the morning Kreacher came in and gave him breakfast, it was a tray full of egg sausage and a piece of toast he honestly was not hungry. But he did not want the Elf to be upset so he smiled and said thank you while Kreacher disappeared. Regulus looked at the time and panicked .He was going to be late. He quickly stuffed the rest of his stuff in the trunk which was defiantly not books and pulled on his robes, because he hated putting them on on the train and he used the floo to get to kingscross he did not expect to bum in to a certain boy....

James loved the summer, but this was by far the best. He finally had a brother. The night it happened was not so great it was traumatizing. Sirius was better now he looked happy and was his usual silly self but the thing was that James had been Sirius' friend for years and he could tell something was off.

James had no idea what, he wishes that he could talk to Remus because he would know but he promised that he will not tell anyone because Sirius does not want to be thought of as fragile.

Sirius was a lot more reckless since what happened. Like he wants to prove something, and James has not asked him anything about it because it was not his place. As much as he wanted to help it was Sirius' story to tell and if he was not ready then so be it, if he never wanted to tell James that would be fine. James just went along with everything that Sirius did no matter how hard it was not to say something.

Today was the day he would go back to kings cross station and he was excited. So when he went down for breakfast and saw how Sirius looked he frowned. Sirius did not speak at all through breakfast and he can not lie that it hurt . The minute that Sirius went through th e floo that day he decided that if Sirius was not talking he was not talking and it went like that through the whole summer. James still remembered the very first summer Sirius spent at his house in 2nd year when Sirius and he where taking a walk through the park 5 or so boys where throwing racial slurs at James' face and Sirius looked confused at to what they where saying and so when the boys went and James started to cry, Sirius was there to comfort him and this time it was his turn.

The ride in the car too the train station was really quiet at first Sirius was amazed at the vehicle but that excitement quickly faded. The station had that smokey smell that he had always enjoyed it was home well not quite it was the way to home. Of course he loved his mother and all but Hogwarts had his friends, brother, soon to be lover and that is all that mattered. So when he decided to stand still and think a certain black haired boy with grey eyes ran in to him. They stood there for a minuet starring at each other and Regulus mumbled an apology.

You would think that it was normal for a person to apologise. But this was Regulus Black. He did not feel or even have a heart. He is a monster for letting his parents do this to his brother who loved and cared for him. No one could ever love someone like Regulus Black he was just a clone for his parents.

He had no idea why Pandora even hung out with him, probably because Evan Rosier is her brother but she is not just with Regulus when her brother is around. Pandora and Regulus seem really close. It's probably just pity, I mean who would willingly hang out with that guy the only think likeable was his looks. Those black curls looked really cute and his eyes oh those eyes. But Regulus' personality was just a nightmare.

when Sirius came back he seemed to look worried and kept asking if he was ok . The truth was he was not ok, Regulus Black just apologised to him and not in a sarcastic annoying manner it was as if he ment it. James nearly tripped over multiple times lost in his own head. The train seemed smaller then he remembered and he kept bumping his head on the metal. When they finally found their apartment there sat Remus book in hand.

"Sirius are you ok? I heard what happened by my dad." Remus asked which was a surprise since he never really talked to Sirius after the prank. Sirius seemed to have the exact same expression that James had and he stuttered an answere that sounded like a yes. "Oh Wormy said that he will come to Hogwarts a few days later he never told me why sorry." James said trying to change the subject when the trolley witch came James went all out buying the best of sweets for his friends it cost 2 gallions but he was fine if his friends where happy. Both Remus and Sirius' eyes lit up when they saw it and dived straight in done with in three hours. Everyone was bloated with pastry, chocolate and every flavoured bean. It felt normal for once in about 4 months.

He could tell the way his two friends kept giving each other looks when they think the other was not looking. Sirius came out as gay to James but he would never have thought that he liked Remus! well now it all clicked. The real reason Remus was so hurt that it was Sirius. James thinks something might have happened and he is determined to find out. His thought where interrupted when Lily came in and she was looking at remus " Remus, prefect meeting you will be late the head boy sent for me to get you." She monotoned and then left. " Guys we are doing this later not now." Remus said when both Sirius and he looked at Remus in surprise that he is a prefect.

When the train ride was finally over he and Sirius went on one of the only horseless carriages that where free which just happened to have Snape, Avery and Mulciber on. James glared at Snape "Oh where are your other towo minions? the one with scars and the fat one." Snape asked which made Avery and Mulciber laugh and before Sirius could punch them James responded "Oh Snively how cute that you are judging people by appearance, you have a greacy mob as hair and don't even get me started on your face. Plus I bet that all of Scotland can smell you." James put on a fake disgusted face on while Snape turned bright red. "Plus." Sirius continued "Your only friends are older and they don't even like you they just feel sorry for you." Snape instantly turned to his 'friends' but they did not deny it which just made Sirius and James laugh harder.

the rest of the ride was spent bickering, and James felt a sense of relief when the carriage stopped and they could leave. Hogwarts was better then he remembered the great hall filled with candles the loud chattering and of course the food. Oh how he missed the food especially the first day back. Honey glazed chicken with mashed potatoe and veg . This was home. Remus was already sitting. And James realised how much he was going to miss this place. He only had two years left. when Dumbledore went to his usual place this time he felt that it was different because Dumbledore was smiling a lot more than usual. "Silence!" with that everyone stopped what they where doing. "We have come to a decision that no first years will come this year and you will stay the year you are in for 2 years which means one extra year of Hogwarts!" Dumbledore announced which made everyone clapp.

"So the reason for this is that we are hosting something called the triwizard tournament. It is when 3 schools come together to host a tournament where 3 students get chosen to be competing one from each school. We will write the names of all pupils and put it in here, yes everyone has a chance of doing it the two chosen schools are Beaxbatons a school in france and Durmstrang a school somewhere in the sea." Everyone laughed at that and Dumbledore continued "Ok lets welcome Beaxbatons." About 125 beautiful girls came wooshing in and around the same amount of guys they all looked stunning and James could not help but blush when a cute blonde boy winked at him. Next was Durmstrang which was majority of boys came in with canes hitting them on the ground. None of the smiled at all but stood next to the Beauxbatons students in a neat row . "Ok so the Beauxbatons students will be staying in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff Dormetorys so that is why you all have more beds in each room. and the Durmstrang students will be staying in Slytherin and Ravenclaw dormitory that is enough you may all begin. With that everyone started to eat and James only just realised how hungry he really was.

He put chicken and loads of mashed potato on his plate with gravy on top. When Sirius saw how much he was eating he looked at James in utter shock but decided he was not going to say anything.and looked back at his plate. This was going to be a long year.

Regulus definitely has the worst roommate. You see he took Regulus' bed which he had for years and got rather attached to and he is really rude. Regulus hates him his name was Yure but that does not matter because he is a real dick.

Yure was only here for about 10 mins and he has trampled all over Regulus, however all of his friends seem to like him. Regulus was already counting down the days until that Bastard left.Regulus was now unpacking his trunk on the worst bed in the whole entire castle. He rather sleep near a bunch or Gryffindors and that ment a lot. The bed was really hard it felt like there was not mattress lying there.

That night Regulus did not get much sleep, or any for that matter well he hopes that Yure had a nice sleep. He practically dragged himself out of bed no one else seemed to be awake which was good so he could get more rest. He locked himself in the bathroom and turned the shower on. Cold. He always showered in cold water, he did it to try and wash himself away. His newly bought shampoo sitting at the side, it was mint flavoured he loved mint. He took a handfull of shampoo massaging it into his scalp and washing it out. Then he put the conditioner in.

If Regulus and Sirius had one thing in common, and that was probably the only thing they had in common,it was their hair. They both cared for their hair a lot. That is why it's a surprise that Potter's hair is always such a mess Sirius must have tried to make him have a hair routine. If Potter tried his hair would be curly and nice and fluffy. However sometimes Regulus had the urge to just touch his hair.Anyway when Regulus got out of the shower he put a towel around his waste and then realised he left his uniform in his room so he unlocked the door. Standing outside was the one and only Yure, Regulus could feel his face heat up and hurried past. "Sorry, I only needed the toilet." He laughed and Regulus glared back.

The nerve of that one, he can't just go around talking like that to people especially if they are gay. Well technically he does not know that but that is not the point. he quickly grabbed his shirt and trousers slipped them on, face still red. Storming out of the dorm. Almost no one was in the hall only one student and a couple of professors. The student had to be Potter and he was also red starring at his plate.Why was Potter blushing was it Evans? that Bitch why did she keep rejecting him anyway? all she had to do was go on one date with him. What Regulus did not realise is that he was staring at Potter and he seemed to notice and shot him a questioning look.Regulus pilld on some eggs on to his plate tearing his eyes away from James why him?

The day was pretty normal however James dreaded going to his dorm.Why? because the guy in his dorm was a Veela, yes that might not seem like a big deal, well it is not to the others. Peter is very straight and is only envious of him. And Sirius and Remus are helplessly in love with each other even if they don't know it yet.

It should not be a problem to James, but he was so pretty that it actually hurt. He also had a very french accent which James liked. It's not like he is in love or anything, he even gave up on Lily they remain friends and that was fine with him. It's hard. James wishes that he could show his feelings.However, James is the person who has to smile and pretend he is ok for others. As much as he tried there are people who still hate him.

James does not really have anything to complain about he is not a werewolf, he does not have abusive parents, he does not get judged, he is popular.James has no problems well not problems that count really. He is insecure but who is not really. So the only way that James deals with it is to make people happy. If everyone around him is happy then he should be happy as well?

That night instead of going to his dorm he slides on his invisibility cloke and goes around the castle looking for something exciting to do. When he spots someone out of bed. Regulus. James should do something he is Head boy. So before thinking it over again he walks the stairs up. James used to like these stairs the most mainly because they did not move. But seriously who came up woth that idea do they want the students to be late to class.

When he finally got to the door he heard talking but there was no one but Regulus there. So he slipped in and could hear what the words were. He saw Regulus staring at a star talking.

"You know that they are worse than they were when you were there.Did not think about that did you?the reason I did not come is because if I went they would just drag you back. One lost is fine but they need an heir. But no I stayed because I am some evil maniac who does whatever his parents want because he loves them. No I was just smart enough not to get myself hurt. Oh and the time that you were tortured i was under the imperious curse so I literally could not do anything." Regulus said with a shaky breath

It took a few minutes to realise he was crying. He did not know that Regulus could do that, all he knew is what Sirius told him. But seriously who uses the imperious curse on their own children? who does that!

All James wanted to do right now is go over there and comfort him, but then he remembered that he was still invisible and that Regulus would freak out. But Regulus was supposed to be heartless.James was supposed to hate Regulus but he couldn't hate someone who had done nothing.

But Sirius is his best friend

Evan hated that there were so many veela's staying here for the year because Barty made a challenge on how many he could fuck by the end of the year. Evan should not care that much but the thing was he was in love with Barty and that ment a lot . Barty was a player he probably dated half the school.

Every time all that Evan thought was why not him. Barty did not have long term relationships like ever. Evan keeps longing for something to happen but is too scared to be the one to make the move. Why? oh because Barty would most likely reject him which would also ruin their friendship. The dorm was empty and he decided to start on his poetry without thinking this is what he wrote

It was embarrassing but he never got rid of it. When the door opened he hid it under his pillow. But it was to late Barty already saw it and trying to hide it was the worst decision ever everything happened so fast Barty jumped and reached for the note book Evan swatting his hand away but no luck.

"What do we have here?" Barty was always taller so there was no way to get it back he begged that he never wrote Barty's name or else he would literally die

" I gaze upon your foggy smile, you look at me like i'm the one forbidden love is worse than no love at all.I know it would ruin our friendship but i wish i lay in your arms.E.R"Barty looked shocked and then burst out laughing.

"Ok you're a romantic so who is she?!" Evan was red in the face and wish it could stop thats when Regulus his saviour came in

His friends are the most oblivious people he has ever met.Well Barty and Evan are Pandora is the least oblivious person you will ever meet. Regulus wonders if they will ever make a move. Evan looks so relieved to see Regulus which means that Regulus either saved his arse or they could have finally got over their shit.

Regulus is staring at his friends seeing the blush on Evan's face that he tried so hard to hide. Regulus smirked grabbed his history of magic book and left feeling Evan glaring at him. This was going to be fun. Regulus smoothly walked down the halls hiding his face as much as possible. Regulus realised that he got the wrong book which he was annoyed about because he could not go back without being late for advanced Potions. Technically, advanced Potions but he was going to be in class with the year above. It was fine before the idea of sharing a class with his brother that is why he agreed. Regulus should have just skipped but Slughorn was the head of house so he would have to do a lot of explaining.

Swallowing he walked in to the classroom all eyes on him which he tried to ignore as much as possible. He looks at Slughorn whos face instantly light up. He wished that Slughorn would just let him sit down and work but no. "Ah Mr Black...2." Slughorn says which only makes Regulus look down yay second .Again. "So this is Regulus and he is the best in Potions well in the school so please welcome him with open hands. So Mr Black will you sit there on that table with Mr Petigrew, Mr Potter, Mr Lupin and other Mr Black please Mr Lupin is great but I am afraid with those two you know...." Slughorn pointed at the empty seat next to Lupin. Why him he really loved drama.

"Ok class today we will be brewing quite an advanced Potion th at is why I have decided that today Mr Black will join the class. We will be brewing amortentia." He continued and this made the class go ballistic.

Half way through when him and Lupin where half way through he saw Potter and Sirius doing something really stupid which Lupin did not seem to notice. "No it's pearl dust not peppermint you will make it blow up." Regulus said angrily which made Sirius smirk and he put it in anyway. It blew up in Regulus' face and everyone was waiting for his reaction.

However Regulus never gave it to him he only finished his Potion. When there where only 20 minutes left of the lesson Slughorn said that the time is over. "Ok lets see someone who is done with their Potion... how about Mr Black and Mr Lupin." Well this was going to be fun.

" I smell Old Spice, musky and liquorice and leather." Regulus started and he was confused by the result so does everyone else. "Ok so umm.. I smell Motor Oil, Cigarettes, and wet dog..." This made Remus blush but the only ones who seemed to understand was Sirius(Whos was hiding a blush) Potter and Petigrew and obviously Regulus.

After class Regulus darted out of there hurrying to his next class which was care of magical creatures he was the only Slytherin other then Dorcas that went to that class however Dorcas only went there to gawk at Mkinnon no other reason.

Remus fucking hated Slughorn. Because of him all of his secrets are out there. Well the deepest secret anyway. Sirius knows. He knows, and that will ruin their friendship he probably will tell everyone that Remus is a Poof . No one will want to be his friend. Remus decided to skip the last few lessons and just hide out in their dorm. He was probably going to stay with the girls that night because they figured out how to get him up.

When he closed the door he gave a shaky breath hitting his head on it. He got his PJ's and waited until the girls finished their lesson in their dorm. He knew it was stupid but the minute they came he could not hide his tears so they came pouring down while he was smiling. Lily and Marlene came rushing over and Mary went through her draw to get some tissues.

Lily was hugging him, they sat in silence for a while. Thats a thing with the girls they never force anything out of him the boys on the other hand will try to do anything to get it out of him.

"Ok how about we get some chocolate." Lily says softly pushing herself up and walking to the wardrobe. The girls always had a lot of chocolate in case something like this happened. Lily brought out one of the huge muggle shoe boxes full of chocolate that you can't get in the wizarding world. He thanked Lily and Marlene got fire whisky that they passed around.

"I hate Slughorn." Is all Remus said tears threatening to fall. Lily laughed she did this to make Remus feel like it was normal. He appreciated it really but sometimes it can get overwhelming "What did that bastard do now was it..." Mary said all three girls realising.

"Potions, oh Remmy." Lily jumped to the other side of the room hugging him hard. Mary and Marlene looked at him sympathetically.

"So I was wondering if I could stay here for a couple of nights you know? I am not ready to face the guys not yet."Remus yes of course why not you can stay as long as you need for the next two years if the boys are being dick heads and I promise you if they are I will slit their throat." Lily said with a serious face which yes is scary but it also warms Remus' heart melted.

"Graphic image." Remus chuckled and Lily smiled back they all spend the night drinking and gossiping which is Remus' favourite part of the girls they are all great and sometimes he feels like he can talk to them more than the boys. That is also why Remus told the girls that he was gay and not the boys it's not that he thinks they won't be supportive, it's just they will probably be awkward about it which Remus would not like.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------he got woken up by giggling and he had no idea how the girls could after that night.Remus groaned "Remus how can you still be asleep move your sleepy arse it's time to see who is going to the triwizard tournament!" Mary screeched and Remus forgot it's unlikely that Remus was picked, he hoped not.

However Remus still dragged himself up he hoped he did not have to face the boys.He got forgot his shirt so he begged Mary to get it since she always goes in the dorms anyway and it won't make much of a difference. 5 minutes later she comes back shirt and tie in hand he thanked her multiple times hurrying. He plus the the girls went to the great hall, the girls basically hoping. The usual tables replaced by many small tables to everyone could fit. They found a table of four where they sat patiently waiting for the rest of the students. After about an hour of waiting or so everyone was there and he could feel the marauders staring at him.

It's probably disgust he refused to look back at them waiting for Dumbledore to stand. In the middle was a tall goblet with blue flames it made Remus feel small for some reason maybe it's the silver. Dumbledore finally stood up silencing everyone in an instance.

"Good Morning, I know you are all excited to see who it is. You all are thinking that it is unlikely that it's you because there are hundreds of other students. You are mistaken if you are the one picked and your scared you can't do anything you will have to participate." Dumbledore started "Ok so lets get started." He shouted everyone cheering

"The Beauxbatons student is Victoria Blu." A young girl who seemed to be young either 12 or 13 came forward. She is too young they surely can't do this right?
"Durmstrang student is Hun Ya." This kid was not young he seemed to be at least 15 years older. This is the moment everyone was excited for.

"Now for my students I know that all of you are very excited, but calm down now." Dumbledore took the last piece of paper in his hand being purposely slow opening. "Are you sure.?" Dumbledore whispered to Mcgonnigal "Yes, it might be a lot of paper work but no special treatment." She replied.

So this must be a very rich pureblood child he hopes it's Mulciber he is a dick and sometimes he wishes he could use a Hatchet to chop it of. Dumbledore sighed "I will not do it , Regulus Black." That is the moment everything froze

He froze Regulus had no idea what to do. Dorcas pushed him up and he slowly walked to the front. He could die. Not that he cares if he lives or die, neither will anyone else. He was just embarrassed he had to do that comment about the paper work. Dumbledore gave him a dirty look he is probably disappointed that a Slytherin was picked. He dared to look back all eyes on him and he started to hurry a bit.

Regulus knew that there was another room behind the great hall. Victoria and Hun standing next to a glass statue. Victoria was so small and fragile how could anyone be so cruel and make her participate in such a deadly activity. Taking his attention away from the other two candidates he looked to the side seeing Barty Crouch Sr standing and Regulus glared at him. He wondered if Barty knew that his father was here he hoped not. Minutes later Dumbledore walked through the door.

"So the tournament will have 3 tasks, each time you will have to retrieve something.. We will tell you a few days before what the tasks will be to prepare you for it. It is hosted by Mr crouch here it is an honour. You can not have any help from friends." Dumbledore said while A women with a quill following her walked over she had a lot of make up on and white hair. " I am Rita Skeeta i will privately interview all of you and it will all go in the daily profit." She said with a piercing smile.

It was youngest to oldest so Regulus had to wait ages being the oldest and all. Each interview took one hour so he was in a dark room all alone for that time. When it was finally Regulus' turn he was dragged into a broom closet.

"SO your name is Regulus Black and you are 15" She started it wont be that long until he can hide in his dorm.

Pandora was always the odd one. For the first three years of school she had no friends, however then came Regulus she still remembers the day as if it was yesterday. That day she was crying in the back of the library even she can't hold in forever. So many people walked past not asking if she was ok most just laughing at her. Then came Regulus, he told his friends to go and sat next to Pandora.

Regulus was the scary sort who everyone was scared of even the older years. Most likely it was his title. People assume that he is cruel when he is actually the softest, kindest person ever created. And now her best friend might die and she can't do anything to stop it. The Regulus who threatened people who called Pandora names. One time this guy named Harry a seventh year Hufflepuff hexed Pandora and Regulus got him expelled. Pandora had to do something about it.

She owed him a lot as much as he refuses. Dumbledore is a dick and she was going to make sure that he regretted picking his name out of the goblet.

Pandora was angry and that was rare. She was going to hurt someone anyone.

Sirius was freaking out he pretends that he does not care about his little brother and now he ended up in a fight because of him with one of the nicest girls to exist.

And now Sirius was forced to sit in a room with Regulus and his defensive best friend who apparently hated Sirius which was news for him but he did not mind her it was Reggie that was the problem he will be here because the fight was because of him. Pandora was shooting him a look which was screaming die.

5 minutes later Regulus walked through the door and Dumbledore told him to sit. He was visibly confused and Pandora and Regulus shared a look that Sirius does not understand instantly Regulus starts to glare at Sirius.

"so the reason you where called Mr Black is because, other Mr Black and Miss Lovegood here got in a fight over you." Dumbledore began and he could see Regulus fiddling with his rings which Sirius new ment he was nervous.

"Yes sir i understand but why do i have to be here?" Regulus asked

"Ah yes so I was wondering if you could contact your parents for a meeting?" He knew Dumbledore knew everything and he still is going to make his parents come in for a meeting.

"There is no need for that sir." Pandora said, Sirius was really glad for her she seemed like a good friend and they even each other out witth all the bad of Regulus he needs it.

"Miss Lovegood this does not concern you I have to talk with them privately and it's non of your business. You are excused Mr Black.. both Mr Black I will see you tomorrow at noon." Sirius was annoyed he hated Dumbledore. Sirius used to admire that man but he never bothered to help when he was having trouble at home. No that was minnie and he admired her now she was a lovely women unlike Dumbledore.

Regulus Pushed past him trying hard not to touch him, however Pandora barged into him. Sirius walked the opposite way to go to his common room he just wanted to be alone.

Remus was still avoiding him and it hurt because all he wants to do is tell him that he liked him back and that was not so hard well it would not be a problem if he didn't take a 90 degree turn every time he tried to talk to him.

REMUS POV

Avoiding Sirius is harder then he thought. The urge to talk to him is big but if he did try to talk to him it would be instant rejection so now he is sitting in the common room all alone everyone was at the quiditch game since Gryffindor was playing against Ravenclaw and they got a new seeker who is really good.

Remus was trying to distract himself by reading his favourite book,Pride and Prejudice, but he can't concentrate. Remus groans and hits his head with the book. He hears footsteps and he assumes it is just a second year getting something that they forgot.

He does not bother to look until he hears the voice "Remus." the person breathes. Remus instantly freezes he has no way to go.

"Your avoiding me ." Sirius says well no shit sherlock what else

"The world does not revolve around you just so you know." the minute Remus said that he regretted it.

"Was it the potion?"wow count on Sirius to go straight to the problem

"go on laugh at me." Remus says tears forming in his eyes

lily was in love with James but she was a lot more than a girl who fell in love with a guy the end. Lily wanted to write to see the girl but that was not how the world went.

Everyone was expecting her to get a boyfriend and then get married and have a billion children. Yes she wanted James but that would mean she gave in and she is not that kind of girl. There was supposed to be a Yule ball happening soon and everyone was expecting her to go with James, and he will be asking her and she does not know how to answer.

James and Lily are friends now and she was ok with that she wanted more, a lot more. However it will also make her life harder the bullying will get worse and she would never wish any of that on James. At first Lily thought that he was joking but eventually she got to know him and realised that he would never do anything like that.

Thats when Lily had the idea that she was going to ask him. To do this she will have to think fast and ask him before he asks her. It is 4 to 1 so she better think fast it has to be a big display. James was a romantic even though Lily was not it was not about her and that is when she had an idea.

Lily got cardboard, glue, glitter pens, and much more. She knew that James was interested in muggle things so she will do it the old muggle way. She cuts out a rectangle piece of card slowly to make sure it was even she then got out red and gold paint because James was full on house pride . She painted that whole cardboard red and made sure that all of it was covered, then she let it dry for 1 hour. Then she took the gold and wrote ,come to the yule ball with me?, in big bold lettering. She added glitter on the lettering.

She looked in her secret stach of muggle chocolate and charmed a basket and set the chocolate in the basket. It had waifa,cadbury's. Kitkat and toblarone. It made her smile she made origami flowers to add in the basket.

The basket is charmed to follow the person around for one day, she thought that James would like it. She decided that tomorrow she was going to ask him in front of everyone in the great hall.

She hid everything under her bed when she heard footsteps coming in the room. She grabbed her book and pretended to read because that would not be suspicious because she does it all the time.

However lying was not Lily' s speciality so that would be a hard thing to explain. No one knew that she liked james except Kiki the house elf from the kitchen.

In came Marlene and an excited Mary they burst through the door. Lily gave them a questioning look but Mary came first "It happened!" she screamed

"What Happened" Lily asked

"They are dating after years of medaling the moment we had a break they got together all of that work for nothing!" said an annoyed Marlene

In the mornin, lily got up nervous as ever because it was the day. Last night she told the girls about her planned and the were both very excited, however their first reaction was that they were annoyed because Lily never told them that she had all that chocolate.

She plopped on her uniform while uncontrollably smiling Mary and Marlene woke up shortly after not wanting to miss the show if you can call it that.

When all the girls where ready she collected the stuff that she made excitement not leaving her body just getting more intense.

Standing in front of the great hall felt different than usual, today was a new day she won't be Lily who is a goody good and never breaks the rules she will be more.

The great hall already filled with students, Lily looked over to where the marauders where sitting finally Remus sat with them, she loved him but he needed his fellow bros.

Lily walked over to the boys Marlene and Mary just behind her.

She took out her Cardboard and chocolate from behind her making the chocolate float. She smiled and blushed hoping for the best. She could feel all eyes on her James was just staring at the board until Sirius nudged him.

"No." He said simple and then got back to his food. Lily felt her heart crush in to a million pieces running out of the great hall tears forming in her eyes.

James felt really bad for the way he rejected Lily infront of everyone. However he truly did not like her anymore. The moment after the rejection the hall fell silent all looking at the scene that fell in fron of them.

Lily started to cry and this made James feel really bad , but before he could explain himself she raced out of the great hall. For a minute he was wondering if he should go after her but it wasn't hhis place. a basket of chocolate on the table he never knew of those brands before. He ignored all of the questions coming at him not feeling hungry.

James was never hungry anymore because he had something muggles called an eating disorder and there was no cure in the wizarding or muggle world. However he never told anyone this not even his parents knew this. He made someone cry, James could have let her down easily but instead he was cruel. He had enough of the questions so he just got up and left the hall.

The day went smoothly really. He had DADA, charms and transfriguration. He did not bother to go down for lunch or dinner . Sirius offered to go to the kitchen and James used the excuse that he is feeling sick.

James needed to clear his head so he decided to go for a stroll that night. Not taking his invisibility cloke with him and not caring if he got caught. He has the excuse for being a headboy and all but that would not last long.

He walked up the back staircase which leads to the astronomy tower it is the most peaceful place at the school people only go there for lessons. He opened the gigantic door and there was a small figure lending on the bar. Regulus. That night he felt a bit rebellious so he decided to say "It's beautiful isn't it." James said and the younger boy looked up shocked and he was glaring at him.

"Potter what do you want? Crying because you rejected Evans I mean why did you aren't you head over heals for her?"Regulus asked and James got reall annoyed

"I really want people to stop that I don't like Evans i feel bad I rejected her because I know what it feels like to not be wanted!" James shouted angrily and he watched as Regulus looked up at him in shock. He has no idea why he opened up, Regulus could use it against him.

Regulus instead smiled at him softly "Yeah I know that feeling." Regulus said which shocked James wasn't he worshiped or something.

"But aren't you the Black heir?" James asked and he couldn't help but laugh bitterly which made Regulus frown

"Sadly." James imagined that right? Regulus not wanting to be the Black heir was news to him.

"I mean come on have you seen me not that you would be reall paying any attention to me but I don't have many friends plus it's a lot of work I understand why Sirius got tired." He smiled and this is probably the first time he saw Regulus have a general smile.

"ok so why are you here Potter I never saw you come here before so what got you all tangled up?" Regulus asked the softness disappearing from his body. James had two options he could either open up to Regulus and he might tell the whole school or just walk out of the door he decided on the first one and sat down next Regulus.

"You ever feel like the need to be perfect? I spend years going after Lily but after a while I am sure the feelings faded and it was more the need to be wanted. I know that it sounds ridiculous because there are other issues that are more-" James got interupted by Regulus

"Just because you think that others have it worse does not mean that you can't have any problems so yeas it does matter." James lost all words no one has ever talked to him like that especially not a Slytherin most people ask him for help and no one asks how he is doing but Regulus was being so kind as if he undesrtood.

"You won't tell anyone right?" He can't help but asking and Regulus smiled softly responding with a quick no. .

An hour or so later he decided to go back to his dorm smiling. He had fun that night hoping that Regulus and james would meet up again at some point. All his friends where asleep so he slipped under his covers trying to make the least amount of noise as possible not wanting to wake up his friends . That night he had no dream and he was happy.

In the morning he ate a lot of food so it was one of his good days. He hated being called picky it made him feel bad when the reason really was because of his eating disorder. But today he could eat he didn't think that Regulus could have been such a help.He debated everything that Sirius had told him about regulus.

"Why are you so smily?" Asked sirius

"it's nothing."
"Ah so it's a girl here that moony our prongs is all grown up now."

"No Pads there is not a girl I just feel happy." He responded annoyed that the only topic with his friends is always romance he had enough of that for now. He did love love but after lily he needed a break from all of this romantic shit.

James expected a lot of things but he would not have expected a slap in the face by Mary she was probably still mad because of yesterday. It felt like everything froze in that moment and he lost all words " You will apologise to Lily" She stated as if it was a fact and James dared to say

" I didn't do antything wrong how come when she rejects me thats ok but when roles are reseversed it's bad?"

Another slap " You rejected her in a real harsh way!" She screamed at him and the whole room started to stare

" Oh so telling me to die is not harsh? Mary that is very hypocritical you should be better than this."

"Oh you shit you little misogynistic shit."

"Oh my god please enlighten me on what I should have done are you sure that you are not the one in love with Lily?" He said cruelly and that made her turn red and there where people laughing.

"Show the mudblood to respect you Potter!" He heard Mulciber shouting from the other end of the room and James was sick of that word why do they need it .

So James marched up to the table and punched Him on the nose and it started to bleed a lot but he didn't care.

"MR POTTER TO MY OFFICE IMMEDIATLY!" the booming voice of Dumbledore came across the hall.

James followed him to his office.

"Mr Potter we will be calling your parents in which out of all the things you did I never had to call them in because it was fun and games. I am sorry Mr Potter now wait until your parents arive.

10 minutes later his mother came through th floo shooting James a dissapointed look before she sat down next to him.

"So Mrs Potter your son here started a fight-"

"Which would not have happened if Mulciber did not call Mary a mudblood." HE interpupted angry as ever

"YEs and he will be punished for it but Iwas talking about the insident before-"
"Im sorry for not liking evans?"

"Mr Potter leave my office I want to have a nice chat with your mother if you will let me."

James was as angry as ever and locked himself in the bathroom annoyed. He needed to talk to Regulus is helped the other day so he waited until Regulus walked pastand then he pulled him by the arm in to the bathroom.

CHAPTER 14-
Regulus has no idea why Potter willingly had a second conversation with him. Now he was awkwardly standing in front of Potter after being dragged into the broom cupboard.
“So you are telling me that you regret rejecting her and you want to go on a date with her?” Regulus asked annoyed.
“Yes I mean I don’t like her anymore but I still want her to be my friend which is unlikely since I embarrassed her in front of the whole school so I don’t know what to do.” Potter rambled
“And you think I care why? Because of the astronomy tower Potter I am not your friend and I could care less who you date and if you excuse me I have to go to my lesson because unlike you I care for my studies.” Regulus rolled his eyes which made Potter frown.
“But-“
“I am not my brother Potter.”
“I know that.”
“Do you really because right now it does not seem like it again Potter, I do not care hurt her feelings or don’t.”
“but the other day-“
“That was a one time thing it wont happen again so if you excuse me I am already late.” He pushed Potter out of the way until he reached the door. Potter did not try and talk him out of it and was just standing still not making a noise.
Regulus hurried to his next lesson the hallway was empty so it was easy to walk through however he had to avoid Filches cat so that he wouldn’t be caught out of class and get his first detention.
When he arrived at hid defence against the dark arts class he knocked on the door and all eyes turned to him the Professor did a tutting sound and told him to sit at the back. Luckily no on was sitting there which was a real relief since there where only 4 people that he tolerated. Dorcas, Evan, Barty and Pandora. He still remembers the first time he met his friends.
How he became friends with Dorcas:
It was his second day of first year when he was lost he tried to ask his brother for help on how to get to his class however as a joke his brother pointed him to the wrong class and he was absolutely lost. The class that Sirius showed him was the Potions class room which the second year Slytherins and Ravenclaws had.
And to be completely honest Regulus nearly cried then and there however Dorcas offered to show him his way. He has no idea if she was being kind or if she just wanted to get out of doing Potions but he appreciated it. Him and Dorcas hit it of immediately becoming friends she was the first.
How he became friends with Barty and Evan;
They where both Regulus’ roommates however he barely talked to them until he heard a comment about Sirius being terrible and thats how they became friends which was a bit different then with Dorcas.

He didn’t really ever talk to Pandora since she was in a different house. He knew of her however they propally interacted in their third year . Pandora was known as being odd and that you should stay away so that is exactly what he did.
One day however he overheard people calling her a cry baby because apparentley she was crying so he led his friend the other direction to the library and Regulus made the excuse that he needed a book. And then he went to talk to Pandora and she was extremley nice . Pandora was his best friend and every time that someone would say somethign rude he would make them regret it
