Joseph sipped the warm chocolate, staring at the wall, blankets pulled over him, Cesare's arm around him, both silent.
"My dream... it was worse than before..." Joseph said softly.
"Do you want to tell me?" Cesare asked, keeping his voice low as well. Joseph just shook his head.
His brother, probably. And visions of Hell. A very familiar story.
"If I... accept the things you say..." Joseph trailed off. Cesare knew the feeling. It was contrary to everything he'd known, but that "everything" was gone.
Only Cesare offered a future, with a splendor that made it all the more terrifying.
