Chapter Text

Headphones put her head under her pillow hoping to drown out her ever so present migraine, the poor vampire was supposed to receive her shipment of blood bags that kept her well fed and her migraines at bay.

Blood to vampires was a good food source they could eat regular food a be full but if they didn’t drink at least a little loud then they would end up getting spitting headaches, and Headphones was STARVING, it had been weeks sense she had any blood and her shipment of blood was delayed till next week. Specs and N-pacer had been worried about their beloved vampire squid she had been cooped up their shared bed room groaning in pain.

“Poor Headphones….” Specs sighed he was worried so much about his love “She’s starving, those squids that distribute blood need new management…” N-pacer huffed she loved her blue idiots dearly and seeing one in pain was heart wrenching. Specs and Headphones were both the type to minimize their problems and not want to worry the regal knight, Headphones was doing just that. “Specs dear can you go get a cold cloth and the first aid kit please ?” N-pacer wanted to help Headphones and she knew just how’s to do it.
Headphones heard the almost nonexistent creak of the bedroom door and a sag of the bed, N-pacer. She could smell her sent a sweet tea kind a sent with a small sent of cinnamon and camomile, specs was near by but not in the room the smell of strawberries and mint was faint but there. “Headphones love can you look at me please ?” N-pacers voice was sweet and dripping with concern.

Against her body’s pleas to stay under the pillow Headphones got up from under the pillow to her knees, although her eyes were still closed she felt a warm hand press into her cheek a soft kiss then placed on the other “How’s your head lovely ?” N-pacer purred rubbing her cheek with her thumb “Not worse, but…not better .” Headphones croaked she was tired and sore but having one of her loves near was nice. Specs soon joined the two with his requested items, still unsure of what N-pacer wanted them for, N-pacer pressed the cold cloth the Headphones forehead Specs rubbing comforting circles on her back. “Headphones I want you take some of my blood .” Both blues were caught off guard by the lady knight’s statement “W-what!? I-I can’t do that !” Headphones was panicked she didn’t know why N-pacer would suggest that! “You haven’t had any blood in weeks your headaches are only going to get worse, I don’t want to see you in any more pain .” Headphones felt a mix of emotions, she was hungry, sore, tired and a myriad of other things but mostly hungry, Specs was worried for both of his girlfriends N-pacer was stubborn and Headphones didn’t like to rely on her partners for help, however he agreed with pacer on this one “Pacer is right Headphones, and I don’t think your going to be able to get out of this .” Silence followed no one wanting to say what was on their minds “ok…” the blue inkling sighed as she got a confident hum out of the sun yellow inkling.

Headphones moved the strap of N-pacers tank top so she was able to get to her shoulder “This might sting a bit .” “That’s fine .” N-pacer felt hot breath on her shoulder before feeling a sharp pain in her shoulder it took a few seconds but the blue girl gulped down the first bit of blood, it tasted just like it smelled like sweetened black tea and iron. A few gulps was enough to get addicted but it thankfully the vampire had some restraint and managed to pull herself away, yellow staining her lips. Specs the ever faithful boyfriend gave both girls some water along side patching the wound on N-pacers shoulder “Thank you, both of you .” Headphones pressed her head into N-pacers chest pulling specs close to, a content hum coming from both the other blue and yellow inkling.

Chapter Text

It was burnt not badly but it was burnt. It was their first time trying to cook food with blood in it so it was honestly a surprise to the Emperry brothers when their supposed meal came out the way it did, like slightly burnt grilled cheese still good but had the taste of burnt. “Well…I have to say that wasn’t bad .” Emperor said, taking his plate to the sink to wash it Prince following suit. “Yeah but, I don’t think we used enough blood, I could taste ANY of it.” Prince sighed feeling full and hungry at the same time, and Emperor would agree most of the blood they had used was adsorbed and evaporated by the food.

After the two vampires had cleaned their kitchen their hunger only got worse, when going to get some actual blood the brothers had discovered that they had no more bags as they had used the last of it for cooking. “You can take some of my blood if you’re hungry Prince.” Emperor offered, a common thing for younger vampires was to get a drink from ether a parent of older sibling, when the pair were still small Prince would often get his meals from Emperor, the ladder still had the scars on his arm from when the former had gotten his fangs stuck. “No thanks Emp, you’re hungry too and taking your blood would make it worse, plus what would you eat!” The sun yellow vampire protested, he was right they were both in a pretty bad situation. They could go get more blood tomorrow as delivery is always delayed or just never shows up however the collective headache would be worsened by the sunlight and going at night would just mean the brothers would have to suffer for longer with the chance of not getting their blood. “What are you doing ?” Prince had noticed his brother had his phone and was texting someone “Texting Jr. Seeing if he’s ok with us taking some of his blood, no way are we risking a trip tomorrow with a head ache .” Emperor sighed as he left the room to call the squid in question.

Prince had thought about it, while it was nice of Eging to give them his blood the risk of accidentally taking to much was very high with two vampires drinking from one person, however N-pacer was with her partners and the only other person that he knew wouldn’t mind if he took some blood was- “Hey Laceless I’m in a bit of trouble right now-NO! Don’t worry it’s nothing serious I was just wondering his you could come over? Ok see you then, bye!” Prince sighed a little bit worried for what the gardener might say “Your going to get blood from Laceless ?” Emperor had scared his brother who was on the ge while the ladder was hung upside down on the ceiling. “Yeah, I just don’t wanna accidentally hurt Eging .” The sunny vamp giggled

Jr had picked up Laceless as his house was on the way to where the Emperry brothers live, Laceless knew the two were vampires, strong ones at that so the gardener was more then confused about the trouble the two were in. “I-um Eging? If you don’t mind my asking but do you know what prince and Emperor need help with ?” Jr gave a quick hum in response processing the question “Oh! them? They ran out of blood and want some of ours, if your cool with that .” Jr eyed the blushing boy in the passenger seat smiling to himself at the humorous sight.

The two inkling had made it to their destination and were now just chilling with the two vampires in their respective rooms. “Are you sure you don’t mind me drinking some of your blood? I wouldn’t wanna make you uncomfortable.” Prince asked he wanted to be 100% certain that Lacesless was comfortable, said inkling was leaning against the headboard surrounded by comfy pillows not to mention the yellow monarch had given him some juice and food beforehand, safe to say that the gardener was chill with what was about to transpire. “Yes I’m positive! It’s not that much right, I’ll be fine !” The gardener chirped “Alright then, there may be a slight sting or that’s what my brother told me .” The vampire shyly smiled as he got close to his blood donor, Laceless felt hot breath on deltoid before a sharp sting made itself present, lips pressed firmly to skin a gentle hand on his face. Prince gulped down the first mouthful of blood the taste of blackberries and sweet cream lingered on his tongue before taking another gulp, then another, and another, six mouthful of sweet blood hie didn’t wanna stop but if he didn’t it could end very badly for the other, separating his mouth from Laceless’S arm the monarch licked his lips getting whatever was left, Laceless’a face was flushed extremely yellow he was not expecting that. Prince had brought some water just in case he took more then should have. “Here Lacey, drink this and take a nap you’ll need it .” Prince smiled as the yellow inkling took huge gulps of water before collapsing into the other.

“How many times have we gone this song and dance ?” The retired monarch asked crawling on top of the humboldt squid a slight bit of drool falling from his lips. “I’d say enough~” the other purred, he was shirtless ready from the roughest night of his life. Emperor bit Egings shoulder greedily drink up the blood the taste of of fresh mint and chocolate filling the monarch’s senses, Eging loved seeing his lover unwinded, taking his chance to grab the monarch’s ass. “Eah! Watch your hands!”

Chapter Text

October was one of few months when masks hayfever WASENT at its worst meaning xe could actually breath without a mask. The cool autumn air was nice on xer face “Spending some alone time ?” Rider had come from inside to the balcony joining the half sharkling wrapping an arm around xem Mask leaning into the loving touch, just a quiet moment just the two of them. “Hehe” mask giggled remembering something silly “What are you laughing about ?” The inkling asked “Remember when Army dog piled us ?”

Another night of a fluffy Army, the huge auburn wolf was pacing back and forth nervously whining and whimpering, why was he so stressed? Mask was in the bathroom and not in bed with the others. “Ami hun, your fine xer not gone .” When Army transformed he got really protective of his partners, when not all in his line of sight Army would heard the missing partner into the same room the rest were in rest, this time it was their shared room and because Mask had left the werewolf’s sight Army was upset. Aloha had gotten up from the bed kneeling down to pet the werewolf an attempt to easy and pull the wolf away from the door “I’m back .” Mask was back the werewolf perking up like they hadn’t seen xem in years, jumping up nuzzling the shark inkling gently nipping at his face a strange attempt and affection “What happened I was gone for like a minute ?” “Army got freaked out after you left .” Aloha sighed before a gentle tug at his shirt got his attention, Army pulled or tugged at their clothes when trying to get them somewhere the auburn werewolf had both his and Mask shirts in his mouth pulling at them getting them onto the bed, the two cuddling up to the already sleeping inkling and kraken, very quickly getting the wind knocked out of all of them as the Army not really understanding that he’s not that light laid on top of them essentially dog pilling them.

“Hahaha! Oh cod that’s right! I thought they were trying to suffocate us !” Rider laughed remembering that night fondly, although it could be annoying Army’s insistence to stay with his partners was endearing especially during the more restless nights “What happened to your arm ?” Mask had noticed that the arm rider had around xem was bandaged “wasn’t being careful today cut it when I was fiddling with my weapon .”

Earlier in the day Rider and Skull were messing with their weapons Rider fixing some problems mainly the locking system that switched the roller from vertical to horizontal, Skull was changing out the modding of his weapon being a kraken and a vampire he modded his e-liter so it was easier to use and some of the parts we’re getting rusted so it was about time to change out the modding on it to avoid it getting damaged, some of the tools they were using were sharp needing to cut a few things, Rider wasn’t paying attention to what he was doing getting slightly distracted his mind working on helping Skull and doing what he was doing and actually cut his arm “OW shit !” Rider snatched his arm away from his project, his arm was bleeding but not badly the yelp got Skulls attention “Your arm…” Skull had taken hold of Riders arm examining the cut really he was just staring at it. “It don’t think it’s as bad as it looks- uwh !” Skull had licked the cut or more so the blood, it hadn’t been the first time Skull had unexpectedly licked their wounds, a few weeks ago aloha had scratched his knee and Skull licked the blood off of it before getting a bandage for it. “I’ll go find the first aid kit .” With that the vamp left to go find the first aid kit.

“I the best part is, I don’t he realizes he’s doing it !” The two were laughing at the moment, it was funny and now that they were looking back on it Skull never really used the blood in the fridge. “Is there anything we have on Aloha? We have stories for Army and Skull but what about ‘loha ?” The shark asked wracking xer brain for a story. “How about when he took us swimming ?”

This was scary even if the two would be fine it was still scary, Aloha had taken Mask and Rider to new albacore hotel to use the stage pools although since the two inklings couldn’t swim Aloha planned on carrying them on his back but instead the large sea monster had the two on his chest. In his sea monster form Aloha still looked like how he normally did except now he was much bigger, had gills on his sides and neck, a tail with what looked like fur that ran up to and the back of her neck and webbing between their fingers. “You two doing ok? we can get out if you want .” The sea monster asked, the two had their feet in the water and were looking around at the water nervously, lights at 5he bottom of the pool illuminated the waters as the sun had long since set. “Can I go back to land please .” The shark inkling shuttered even if xe would be fine if xe fell in Mask would still rather be on dry land “Ok I swim ya back !” The sea monster chirped using his tail and feet to get back to the edge of the pool, even though Rider said nothing he was terrified of the water. Aloha spent some more time in the water while the pair on land threw things that suck down to the bottom for aloha to bring back up, it was like Army with a tennis ball.

The pair were laughing and joking about their shared memories “We- we never tell Army about the ball thing !” The cyan squid laughed careful of his breathing “And we don’t tell Aloha we made that comparison !” Rider tried to catch his breath from the laughter, while they had their own quirks and problems the were the really the only normal ones there.

Chapter Text

Fall leaves crunched under Gloves feet, the full moon and flashlight giving good light to see the way. Goggles, who was currently a large red wolf, walked by his side glow a glow stick collar making it easy to find him in the dark “Are we almost there ?” Goggles asked the spell Gloves had cast made it so he could understand the howls and barks of the werewolf. “Almost once we reach the clearing I cast the spell and then we can play .” Gloves sighed he could almost perfectly keep up with the Goggles when he was an inkling but as a werewolf there had been many a times were he and Goggles went out the the forest and he just couldn’t keep up often having to wait for Goggles to come back after tiring himself out.

The clearing was a small however it felt big to the pair. Goggles was already off in the clearing running and rolling around in the grass, Gloves had found a damp rock to place his spell book on kneeling on the damp grass flipping through the withered pages for the spell he needed. The full moon spell a spell that gave the caster the powers of a werewolf not many used that spell mainly because it only worked at night on a full moon and you needed werewolf fur for a part in it. Gloves smiled he could finally keep up with Goggles, holding his had over the page closing his eyes the green witch focused all energy on the spell, Goggles had stopped his play to watch the strange light that danced around his partner, enveloping him in a soft glow disappearing in a puff, Gloves opened his eyes to look over himself the spell had worked! His hand were clawed and furred as were his legs and-well he guess he had paws now his case had some fluff on his cheeks unfortunately no wolf ears, when he stood up he was taller and he had a tail to! “Well Goggles? Whadadya think?” Gloves presented himself to the red wolf that stared at him with a amazed gaze. “YOU LOOK GREAT! Are you a werewolf now?” Goggles bounded towards gloves jumping around him “No babe, I’m still a witch just borrowing you cool looks~” Gloves tried to flirt but that usually and did go right over Goggles head. Goggles tugged in Gloves sweater pulling him around “Let’s play! Let’s play!” Goggle barked running to the other side of the clearing his tail wagging a million miles an hour, Gloves with his knew found abilities was able to cross the clearing in no time “This time I can keep up!” Gloves smiled.

The witch and the werewolf were off running around the forest, running and jumping over logs and stumps, sliding and climbing down or up hills the two would separate into then meet back up just as fast. Goggles had his tongue hanging out he would occasionally tackle Gloves the other doing the same, the two had separated again and when Goggles thought they would meet up he tried to tackle his boyfriend only to find nothing but air and dirt Gloves was missing. Gloves huffed and puffed his entire world was dizzy turns out the spell had an unmentioned time limit and when that time was up Gloves went down, he tripped over a root and landed in a bush “owww….” Everything hurt he didn’t break anything but he was sore, slightly damp and embarrassed he was so close to finally being good enough for his werewolf but it failed, Gloves felt tired tears fall down the sides of his face it was really late he should probably find Goggles first. Goggles followed the sent of the green squid to a bush, Gloves was lying on his back he was back to normal and he looked tired, Goggles poked his cheek with his nose getting his attention “You wanna head home? I can give you a ride.” Goggles licked the others cheek a strange attempt at affection. “Yes please.” Glove’s sighed pulling himself off the ground and lying on his chest the soft fur acting as a great comfort.

The pair were heading home they got gloves book on the way, Goggles could tell Glove’s was still upset “I had a lot of fun Gloves, you were awesome!” Goggles let his tail wag he was always happy when he was with Gloves. “I had fun to I’ll find a better spell next time…” Gloves sighed he was still feeling lest the adequate “You don’t need to do that, you don’t have to be any better I’m pretty sure it’s impossible!” Goggles tail was wagging so much it was hitting gloves legs. It was cheesy yes but the statement made Gloves feel better wrapping his arms around the red wolf “I love you so much, you dorky wolf .” Gloves sighed listening to the heart beat of his boyfriend.
