   Summary

   Briar Clearlock has about as good a life as a sixteen-year-old girl can get in Panem.
   Her father is the mayor of District 5, she has a loving family, a close group of friends, and even a "boyfriend" she's going steady with, not to mention she gets to avoid the hunger that plagues most of this and other Districts. Everything's as good as it can be.
   However, everything changes when she and her younger brother Lucas are suspiciously reaped as tributes in the 59th annual Hunger Games, a yearly event in which two children from each District must fight to the death until only one remains. Quickly, Briar finds herself in an impossible situation of keeping herself and Lucas alive and trying to get one of them home, knowing she'll probably fail. She must learn to survive, fight, and even kill to stay alive.

   Unfriendly Fingers is a four-part series that follows Miss Briar Clearlock's whole life of bloodshed, abuse, exploitation, and above all else, survival as she grows from Tribute to Victor, to Mentor, and finally Beacon from her sixteenth birthday, when things were still normal, all the way until her death on day 2 of the Third Quarter Quell.
