Summary
The year is 1979 and Wizarding Britain is in utter chaos.
The Dark Lord Voldermort and his Death Eaters are sowing discord and terror through the magical populace, with almost nothing and no one seeming able to stand in their way. The Order of the Phoenix is on the brink of collapse, the Ministry is barely keeping its neck above water and more and more families either fall in line or are wiped from the Isles entirely.
Enter stage left: Regulus Black, the heir to the Most Ancient and Noble House of Black. And, slightly (slightly,) more importantly, the object he carries with him.
Which, much to the boys chagrin, will send him, his estranged brother and said brothers friends, on a race against time to save their world from the most dangerous threat its faced in roughly 400 years. No pressure.
Or: What if Kreacher, for once, disobeyed an order and managed to rescue Regulus from the cave. Allowing them to run away to the Order of the Phoenix, inadvertently changing the whole course of history?
