   Dear Diary,

   My name is Daniela Dimitrescu. I'm nineteen years old and kinda sorta was forced to go to therapy and start writing this stupid journal. It's supposed to help or whatever. It's bullshit. My entire family went through this harrowing ordeal, and really- I'm not the one who suffered the most to warrant this. Yes, I might have felt like I was going crazy during those cursed months. But so did mama, and Bela.
   Anyway, this is my journal about the time when my entire world was shattered and I wasn't sure we were going back to normal ever again.
