Chapter 1: Here in the afterglow of day
Chapter Text
Sora stared at Namine, who was offering hi-
No. Offering, herself, a choice.
"You're not Kairi." Sora said. Everyone turned to him. Donald and Goofy confused, and Namine didn't seem to understand.
"Uh, Sora? What're ya talking bout?" Goofy asked, confused.
"Yeah! You're sounding weird!"
"I am Kairi. Or at least, half of her." Namine explained.
Namine. Heh, that's the name his mother would have called him, had he been born a girl.
Gods, he can remember that? Actually, when was the last he saw of her?
He found that he wanted to go home. But he needed to rescue Riku first.
"No. Nobody, right?" He asked. She nodded.
"Don't truly have hearts. We are what is left, after the heart is gone." Namine explained.
Sora grinned.
"Well, lucky for you, your heart, is right in front of you." Sora said.
"What!?" All three cried.
DiZ was confused. It was strange, what the young man was saying.
Namine, all Nobodies, were never supposed to exist. But claiming that she was him, was a different thing all together.
Namine, is Kairi's Nobody. There was not much else to it.
He was wondering the reasoning behind it.
"Simple really." Sora explained. He doesn't have a clear memory, but he does have a vague hint of... Something.
"Didn't I see her corpse right before fighting for her heart?" Sora asked. And Namine gasped.
"That is correct. Her body had bene in Riku's possession for the whole time. Since you first arrived in Traverse." Namine explained.
"Exactly! There is no way for you to be Kairi's Nobody as she never lost her body!" Sora said.
"But that means..." Namine seemed worried. "I would have to recombine with you." She said, softly.
"Yeah? So?" Sora asked, not really understanding.
"Well, how to put this. I am very Female, Sora. You, are a boy."
"Body doesn't change, because of the heart." Namine spelt it out.
"Nor does the heart change because of the body." Sora shot right back at her.
"I see... And here I was, about to offer a nice little pod." She sighed.
"It does sound like a great idea. I would love a nap." Sora said, sounding like he felt. A nap would be bliss, a dream come true.
"I suppose, the process would be... Long. And your friends, would need their memories sorted out, as well as yours." She muttered.
"Right then." The two were ushered into the pods nearby, and Sora stared at his other half.
"Reforming, is... Harsh, if it's not mutual. Long, and one side tries to take over." Namine explained.
"How many times has this happened?" Sora muttered.
"Oh never. Just that's what I assume."
"Mom hates it when we assume." He grinned. She nodded.
"I guess she is my mother as well. Sora." She turned to face him, as the pod closed. It was a bit roomy in it.
"Make it quick." She pleaded.
"I ain't gonna spare myself, ya know." Sora said, bringing her in for a hug.
He reached his hand out, and felt the key start to form, back handed.
And then felt it being run through his body.
"Full. Circle." He said, as it pierced the exact same spot, as when Namine was formed.
"Full Circle." She agreed.
And Sora felt the two start to merge.
"Another dream about it." Roxas muttered, his head pounding.
Did winning all of Struggle, really throw him off that much? He wondered.
He wasn't sure what was going on. It was just his day off.
It was meant to be fun.
"Huh?" He muttered, walking into the room. Axel was back! And alive!
Or what counted as living for a Nobody? They didn't exist, so he can't say Axel still did... Actually, how the heck does he refuse to them being alive?
It's weird, and giving him a worse headache, he's just going to eavesdrop.
"What do you mean, Xion was the back up memories!?" Siax was hissing.
"I'm saying, that Sora's getting originals. Not just the greatest hits. Xion, is like a backup drive, not the main version."
"And how is this possible?" Siax hissed, as Demyx had looked over, before going back to tuning his sitar.
"Look, all I know is that the kid managed to... Well, I suppose the only way to say it, is kill. He killed, actually bested in fights, against Marluxa. Larxene. And Vexen." Axel stated.
What kid?
"So, Sora is more powerful that we thought." Siax sighed.
"Yep. He's also taken out the Replicas of his greatest foes, and Riku."
Who the fuck is Sora and Riku? Roxas didn't feel a connection to those names, but felt like he should have. But doesn't.
"I see... And Marluxa?"
"Final Stand." Holy shit!?
The reaper woman Nobody!? Roxas saw that move once.
Against a bloody Kurt Ziza!
"Really? How was the Reaper defeated?"
"Stabbed through the skull. Kid takes no shit." Axel laughed. Actually laughed.
"Indeed. Do you know why it was so violent?"
"His memories were mucked up, and his filter didn't exist. He was ready to kill humans, Siax. We fucked that plan up, massively." Axel doesn't swear, not usually at least.
"Quite. You... Handled it." Siax said, slightly confused.
"Eh." Axel shrugged. "What's my next mission?"
Roxas was still confused, but he was going to a weird world, so it should be fun!
One. Year. Later.
"Huh?" The pod in front of Roxas hadn't opened.
He didn't know why, but he felt a connection with the Person inside.
"Looks like." He said, and felt tears form.
Had he ever cried before? He didn't think it was possible?
He stared at the pod, unable to see inside.
"My summer vacation." He stared at it.
Gods, he feels scared.
"Is over." But, instead of fading, like that weird red bandaged had promised.
He stayed. But an orb of pure white burst out his chest, and floated into the pod.
"Huh!?" He felt a rush of his memories return.
"Axel!? The Organization! I need to get back! Xion!" He rushed out the room, his cloak falling onto him. He made a corridor of Darkness. And rushed away.
Sora...
That was who was in the pod. But that didn't fucking matter. He needs to get back to where he belonged!
"So, you returned. Axel was just telling us you didn't even remember." Siax drawled.
"I do now. That guy took me, and said he was going to make re connect with Sora!" Roxas seethed.
"I'm me, and nobody else." He stated, and saw Axel stare at him.
"It's true. Last I heard from that guy, he said that I would have to be terminated, once Sora woke up." Axel said, rubbing the back of his head.
"Weird." Roxas said. He smiled brightly, when Xion ran and gave him a hug.
Sora opened his eyes. He saw the petals of the pod, meaning the two had joined back again, and he's got all his memories.
Which, was good.
"Namine?'
"Yes! We joined together, but I am still here, somehow..."
"Maybe because you're a little more different to me?" Sora thought, and his other side agreed.
He yawned, and stopped. He said out loud.
"My name is-" that wasn't his voice.
The pod opened, revealing Donald and Goofy.
"Huh? Sora?" Goofy asked, as the mist was starting to clear.
"Does that look like Sora to you, ya big Palooka!?" Donald screamed, and waved his wand. "Who are you!?"
Sora just slowly walked to the edge. And felt the cool white surface on the bare feet.
Sora reached out a hand, and felt Kingdom start to form. Silver light was flooding the blue eyes, as it formed.
Stronger than ever.
"This enough of a hint for ya?" Sora asked, feeling a grin form on her new lips. Different, more subtle. Sombre. Soft. But still had the routes that his did.
"Sora!?" Both screamed, and wrapped the newly female into a hug.
"Hey, let me breath please. I... I'm a bit more fragile, than when we last communicated." She warned.
"Sorry. Do ya know how it happened to ya?" Goofy asked.
Sora could tell them the truth. That she reconnected with her Nobody. But... Something was stopping her.
She wasn't supposed to be a girl. That was very much clear. Having a reason, means she would have to stop being a girl.
She's only just been one for nor even an hour. She's been a boy for fourteen years. She can handle a bit of the female side!
"It's not all fun and games." Namine warned.
Sora didn't find that she cared all that much.
Besides, if there was an issue, it's not like she'd be stuck like this, until she was sixteen. That was a little under two years away.
Maybe.
Maybe a year? A little over a year. A year and a half, yeah she's going with a year and a half.
A month or two to heal up, and get back at it.
"So, we need to see where we are. This place is weird." Sora said.
"We just going to-"
"Donald. You sling fireballs even on our first meeting. I have summoned the power of the storm, under the sea. Normal, is not within our vocabulary as of now. And if it did, we would have a skewed view of it." Sora explained.
"So, ya got another name? Cause Sora is good and all, just checking if there is another name or not." Goofy said. Sora smiled.
"You can call me Sora. It is my name after all." The two smiled.
"Twilight Town?" Sora asked, as soon as they stepped out into the main area. Not, the are before the train station, but the main one, with the tram.
Weird.
"You know this place?" Goofy asked and Sora made a so so motion, with her more delicate hand.
Gods, it looked really nice. Maybe some blue nails would go great with the blue sandals, and white sundress.
"You are acting very much feminine."
"Oh, I'm sorry that I'm trying to make the most of something, that I've wished for before."
"... I... That explains, so fucking much."
Namine can swear, apparently. Sora cannot.
Weird.
"Huh?" Sora looked over, and saw the Struggle tournament, was still going to happen.
"Well, needing to get the rust off me." She grinned, as she went over to the sign up sheet.
"Sora, I don't think that's a good idea." Goofy warned.
"Order. The world order." Donald hissed.
"It'll be fine." Sora promised. "Besides, it's better than getting right into a fight with... Hi!" She grinned, as the man taking the entries looked up at her.
"You wanting to join kid?" The man asked, and Sora nodded.
"Right. Name?"
"Sora."
"Last name too kid." The man sighed.
Sora froze. Shoot, she's having to either give a fake one, or tell him...
"Amanai." She sighed.
She stopped saying it, the second she hit the cosmos.
"Phone number? You don't look local, so we need this." The man said, seemingly short.
"... Don't have one. Can I hit people with a foam bat now?" But was interrupted by the main man, running in, after getting off his phone.
"Oh no." Sora groaned, as she saw the mans scared face.
"Sorry folks, but this is tournament is postponed. There are weird monsters spotted at the train station."
Sora groaned, loudly, and started walking towards it.
"What do they look like?" He asked.
"Uh, white fleshy things? With zip for mouths." The man said, confused.
"Time to go return corpses to non-existence." Sora muttered, rolling her shoulder and summoning her Keyblade.
"Excuse-" A girl with really pretty green eyes, and brown hair started to ask. Sora just shrugged.
"Long story. Lets go." Sora said, and both Donald and Goofy nodded, and followed her, as she ran towards the station.
"Ok, lets see how much rust we got." Sora said.
"We weren't in there for that long, right?" Donald asked, as he readied his first staff.
Wait. Where did Save the Queen go? And Save the King? They both have the items they first met Sora with.
"Uh, I'm just guessing a month or two, didn't change that much." Sora shrugged.
"... Normal is not, in our vocabulary." Goofy admitted, when the two looked at Sora.
"Fair." Sora shrugged. "But really. I'm probably not much older that when we went in." Sora shrugged.
"... It's hard to tell with us." Donald and Goofy both shrugged.
"Really? Why?"
"We... Kinda stopped aging after a point?" Goofy explained Donald's point.
"Fair enough. Time is relative." Sora said.
"I don't think that's..."
"I had the Power of Time, literally stopping it, for minutes at a time. When I first learned magic. What do you think I'll get this time?" Sora asked, and both of them shivered.
"Now, I'm feeling sorry for the Heartless, or anyone that gets in Sora's way..." Goofy whispered.
"Me too. And I'm gonna learn it too." Donald whispered back.
"What're you guys talkin' bout? Come on, we got some Nothing to destroy!" Sora cheered, and rushed towards the station.
"..." The two didn't really know how to deal with that.
"Uh, I've only had to look after little Maxie, is... Is Webby like this?" Goofy asked.
"Uh... Daisy looks after her more. Louie's like me, and prefers to not fight first off, but if you anger him enough, you're dead. Hew's more mellow, and tactical, but had the whole, Duke thing going on."
"And Dewey, is Dewey." Goofy nodded.
"Yeah, but I think it's more the fact that Sora is going through puberty, and is now a girl. That's gonna mess hi- her, more than she thinks." Donald caught himself.
"Even for us, this is getting weird." Goofy said, and readied his shield.
"Oh yeah. Let's go get em, Goofy!" The two charged, to help Sora.
"So, what are these things?" Goofy asked, knocking back one of the weird things, as it tried to tackle him.
"The opposite of a Heartless. They don't even have stolen hearts!" Sora explained, as he- she. It's she now. She managed to move behind one, by sliding on the ground, and winced in pain, as her knee was used, but continued to fight.
"How do you know that!?" Donald demanded.
"Hello! Heartless here!" Sora said, and faltered. "That's... Actually true. Also, a Nobody, these things are calling me a freak of nature. Have you guys never seen a mirror?" Sora asked, as she slammed the Key into the head of one.
"Uhh..." Donald and Goofy were both confused.
"Urgh, it'll take to long to explain, and I haven't got enough art supplies, if any. So, just wait until we get to a place with amble art supplies, and I'll explain. Paint, or Crayons are also acceptable." Sora said, with a nod.
"Uhh..."
"I've always loved to draw." Sora shrugged.
"Ya never... Ya never mentioned it." Goofy got out, sounding more tired.
"Rusty is one word for us." Donald muttered with venom.
"Sorry. Was busy. Yeah, you're right... I don't think is explaining this." Sora moaned, as she was knocked back into a wall.
"Damnit." They heard. And saw Sora... But the eyes were slightly different.
"Oh no. No no no no no no no no no." She seemed... Afraid, not the same confidence as two seconds ago.
"Come on!" The hand sprug forwards, but nothing came into it.
Oh, right. No Keyblade, no defence.
"COME ON! KINGDOM CHAIN!" Sora yelled, and the station was bathed in a silver glow.
Kingdom was back, and it struck true.
"Back in action!" Sora cheered, sounding better.
"Mood swings." Goofy noted, as the two collapsed onto each other.
"Yeah... This is gonna be a weird one."
"Even weirder than when-"
"We don't talk about that Genie." Donald seethed.
"Fair enough, old friend." Goofy admitted.
"Whew. Geeze, how many of these Nobodies are there!?" Sora whined, as she fell next to them.
"Uh..."
"It's the actual name of them. Please, don't question it yet." Sora begged.
"Uh, Sure." Goofy muttered. And as three of the... Nobodies? Started to stalk their way towards the three, they were taken out, by...
"THE KING!" All three shouted.
"You guys need to get on the train, and get outta here!" Mickey said.
"But, what about Riku!?" Sora asked.
"Huh? Uh... Namine? What are you doin here?" Mickey asked, confused.
"Uh, Who?" Goofy whispered to Donald, who shrugged.
"Uh... Hi? Again, sorry about the whole... Oblivion Castle, or what ever thing." The eyes were slightly weird again. "But where is Riku? We're looking for him!" Sora said, like h- she knew who Namine was.
"I... Namine, where's Sora!? Shouldn't he have woken up with these guys!? Also, great to see you pals again, but where is Sora!?" Mickey asked, and both Duck and Dog pointed at the newly blond girl.
"Uhh... Please tell me this is a joke? I thou-"
"One who knows nothing, can understand nothing." A voice rang out, and everyone stared at Sora.
"That was actually exactly like what Ansem sounded like." Goofy noted.
"I've always been good at voices, if I practise." She said, with a shrug.
"I... So, you are Sora." Mickey said, but shook his head. "Take this, and get three tickets outta here!"
"... Wouldn't it be a magic train? Would we need tickets?" Sora asked, not really understanding.
But she does have a point.
"I uh... Ok, here's some pocket money, I guess. Why did I... That was weird... See ya guys soon." Mickey said, and left.
"That was... Weird." Sora said, summing up the experience.
"You can say that again... Come on, let's go!" Donald ordered, and started to run towards the doors.
"Wait, you guys!" A voice sounded.
It was the girl and her friends from the sandlot.
"Oh, hi!" Sora waved, with a smile. "How's it hangin?" She asked.
"Uh, good? What were those things!? How'd you fight em?" Hayner asked, getting a little too close. Donald moved him back, using his staff.
"Dude." The boy with a red shirt scolded. "I'm sorry about Hayner. I'm Pence."
"And I'm Olette!" The girl said, with a giant smile. "But, that was amazing!" She almost had stars in her eyes.
"OH, so I can't introduce myself, thanks guys." Hayner said.
"Consider it payback, for all the Ice Cream you had me buy." Pence said, serious.
"I... Ok, fair enough." Hayner sighed. "So, how did you do it? And what were those? You said... Something about dead corpses?"
"All Corpses are dead. It's the definition." Pence reminded him.
"I mean... It's true." Olette said.
"Yeah yeah. So, what were they?"
"Uh... Long story." Sora said, with a nervous giggle.
"I just met you, and I get the sense that you have a lot of those." Olette said, smiling and tilting her head to the side.
"Well, then You've gotten half of what I'll say, out of the way." Sora smiled right back.
"So, you're leaving?" Hayner asked.
"Yeah. Gotta find my... Well, a lot of people have assumed he's my boyfriend. Yeah, nah. Ain't into boys. Momma always said it's ok not to. So ya know." Sora shrugged. "He's more like my brother." She explained.
"Ah, that's nice." Olette said, with a slight blush. "Uh, wouldn't say that around the older folks of town." She warned.
"Eh, why would I care what they think of me? I ain't gonna be around long enough for more than my face and name to be said." Sora said, and both Donald and Goofy, looked at her in worry.
"It's fine. Gotta get going. It was nice to meet you all." Sora said, with a soft smile, and then snapped her finger.
"Right, can't leave with nothing. Not after disrupting the Tournament. Here." She pulled out a picture.
Where did she-
"Woah, this is... Hey, it's us!" Pence said, looking at it. "And... I think he said his name was Roxas."
"Oh yeah! Last Struggle tournament winner. He didn't come this year, so it defaulted to Setzer." Hayner said, with a grin. "Hey... Uh... Don't know how ya know that, but... Thanks. It's a good memory." He said, and his eyes, and face. He doesn't look like the type to cry, but he was getting a little bit misty eyed.
"Thanks. Uh, I don't think we caught your names?"
"I'm Sora!"
"Donald!"
"And I'm Goofy." The trio introduced themselves.
"Well, thanks. It was nice meeting you all. Hey, I heard a rumour it's happening in a week. Think you'll be back by then? I think you'd love it!" Olette said, as they walked into the train station, and saw a train pull into the station.
"Woah, the Ghost Train!" Pence said, in Awe.
"It's our ride. I'll see ya'll later." Sora said, with a wave, and a smile.
"See you later, Sora. Hey, maybe next time I see you, we can go shopping or something!" Olette said, with a smile.
Sora smiled softly. She doesn't know, if she's going to be the same, next time she sees them. She felt a tear start to form. But, pushed it back.
She's not supposed to cry. Not yet.
"Yeah. I hope so." She smiled, but didn't promise. She never makes a promise, she couldn't keep.

Sora/Namine Amanai -
A girl with the mysterious power of the Keyblade, and memories. She's not a Nobody or a Heartless, but both at the exact same time.
After... Stabbing herself with a Keyblade (Yet again) she woke up, looking more like Namine rather than Sora. She doesn't look like a blonde Kairi anymore, which is a bonus, as Sora still has a massive crush on the red-head.

He's the most powerful Mage that Sora knows, and is greatly helpful in teaching him. But, is quick to remind others of World Order, as breaking that is supposed to be very dangerous.
Sadly, no consequences have shown, for the trio, so it is not much of an issue. The Heartless and Nobodies on the other hand...

Dusk:
The most basic of Nobodies. They are also not to be underestimated. Due to their slippery and rubbery nature, they can fly through the air, with ease. They can also twist around strikes. Getting behind them faster is a great idea. Just... Don't scrape your knees.
Story -
After waking up, I found out that I am whole... Mostly. I feel like there is one small piece missing.
I love this new body, and would love to just have a girls day with my mother and Kairi.
But, I suppose that should wait.
I feel strange, as we leave the mansion. I know, for a fact that even one simple hit, would most likely take me out. I am weaker, and more dainty. I cannot say I fully despise the feeling.
I am more... Floaty, the word is. I feel my Magic brimming under my very skin.
We had ended in Twilight Town. The place that was in Castle of Oblivion, from what they called the other side of my heart, which has little sense. But, we met up with three very nice fellow teenagers. I believe them to be older than me.
Namine and Sora. Us. Me. We can still talk to the other, but there is very little change.
I wonder what exciting adventures will be awaiting us on this adventure!
Chapter 2: Would you go running, if you saw the real me?
Summary:
Meeting Yen Sid.
He's not the worst. That's all that can be said.
Donald is loosing respect for the old master.
And the Restoration Committee, is just confused. And Sora is just done with her new body.

Chapter Text
Sora felt tears stream down her face, as she sat down.
"Sora? Are you ok?" Donald asked.
"I'm fine. Just... So many feelings. And I'm not sure how to... Feel them." She sighed. She smoothed out her dress.
More ready for the beach, rather than a trek through the most dangerous of locations.
"Really? How long?" Goofy asked, and he sounded worried.
"Uh, first adventure? I just... I love how I look. But, we're going to see someone powerful, right? ... I'm scare I'll lose this look. I've only had it for a few hours, but I like it more than anyone would would think. I don't want to lose it. Not yet." Sora said, and saw a small glimmer of purple and black, that made up the last of her skin.
Yes, Namine only had some of his body. Now, she had to use her own Darkness, to make up the last of the body.
"Well... They'll have to get though us!" Donald Promised.
"Yeah! Ya don't have to change, just because others want ya to. You're you, that's all there is!" Goofy cheered on Sora.
She smiled.
"Thanks, Donald. Goofy. We're gonna be there soon. So, wonder when the Heartless show up." Sora said.
"Huh?" Donald asked.
"They have other ways to get out. Mickey got out, meaning both Riku, and the Heartless have a way out. Especially the stronger ones. We'll have to be careful." Sora stated, and winced, but tried her damn hardest to keep the cry of pain from escaping.
She hit the really bad bruise.
"Cure." Donald said, softly. "You don't have to hide those from us. Please, don't." Donald pleaded.
"I'll try. But... I'm weak." Sora said. "My Strength, and Defence are really low. My Health, next to none." Sora said, and felt tears start to well. She's not going to cry. It was her choice.
"Well, then I'll just have ta take more hits." Goofy promised.
"And I've got my healing!" Donald promised.
"Really? I don't want you guys to just put yourself in danger, because of me."
"Well, you don't have a choice!" Donald nearly yelled, but it was the happy kind.
"Yeah! We'll be your protectors. No need to worry bout us. I'm great with using items to their best. Donald, can use Eithers, and Magic. We've got your back. Until you get back into your rhythm." Goofy promised.
"Yeah. Noticed you didn't get your movements right. Get used to fighting. We'll take care of the hard parts. We ain't the head of the Mages, and Knights because we're old friends of the king!" Donald grinned.
Sora smiled right back, and let a tear fall. A happy kind.
Thanks, she thought. Thanks, for being my friends.
After taking out some Shadows, which Sora only felt a slight guilt on that.
They were young, but dangerous. Pete, was...
Something else.
"So you, you're the ones that did it! Eh? You don't look like what the reports said..." The cat thing muttered, staring at Sora.
"Well, sorry to disappoint. Did ya want me to be able to kick your butt better?" Sora grinned.
"Urgh. Why you little!" Pete charged, and Namine jumped over the cat, and pulled the other two into the tower.
"We're safe now." She promised.
"Thanks." Goofy said. "He's been causing trouble since day one."
"Yeah, forget Captain Justice, and Captain Dark. He's just a dummy that thought he could be the best, without consequence! He tried to take over the castle at one point!" Donald spat out.
"Well, let's heal up, and get going." She said, and stepped into the light, and saved.
She... Might have saved over a guy names Roxas. But screw him. He don't get her power!
Hah! Take that, faker!
"Uh..." Donald and Goofy looked confused.
"Nothing." Sora shook her head, and loved the feel of the longer hair on her bare neck.
It feels great!
"Come on. We gotta make sure the Tower's safe." Sora said, and the two nodded.
"Heartless, Heartless, Heartless. Nothing changed! You're right. Urgh. You're getting better." Donald promised. Sora grinned.
She loved it when she get's positive feedback.
"Yeah, but we're not done yet. Another two doors, before we might get there, right?"
"One room. And then we get to him!" Donald explained.
"Right. Hey, Goofy? What're you thinking about?"
"Just... It's weird. I feel... Older, like... more than a month or two? And... It's weird."
"I only feel a few months older, to be honest." Sora shrugged.
"To be fair, I don't think you know how a girl grows." Donald said, with a smug voice.
"And you do?" Sora shot right back, with a grin. Donald paused.
"Fair." Goofy laughed.
"Nice to see you haven't changed much!" He grinned, and the three set off for the next part.
Sora was now level four. But, didn't feel much stronger. She only got a slight boost in defence.
"Urgh. Done and fudging done." Sora groaned, as she laid down in the Study.
"While I agree, please be more respectful. One, you are wearing a dress." Donald started.
"You're not wearing pants." Sora told him.
"And two." He ignored the valid point. "You are in the presence of Master Yen Sid." Donald tried, a little softer, seeing the bruise on the arm.
"Right, sorry sir." Sora said, bowing slightly, as she stood up.
"... It is quite fine. And you are?" He asked.
"I'm Sora sir. Mickey or Riku would have mentioned me." She explained.
"Ah... Is this... Change, something you did for a disguise?" He asked.
"No." Sora felt like she was having to go on the defensive now.
"Ah, an Accident? Would you like me to try and reverse it?" She shook her head.
"No thanks. I like myself like this."
"Hmm... I was not expecting this outcome. Are you sure, you would be up for a journey." Instead of defending herself, Donald did.
"Yeah! She is! She just helped us get up to this place! She's saved the universe, a little respect is earned!" Donald seethed.
"It's fine Donald. Really." Sora tried, to calm her friend.
"No, not really." He muttered, but stopped.
"I see. Well, the fairies have had more experience with girls clothes, so that should be helpful." OK, so dismissing that.
She knows this type of person. Many of her teachers are like that. Just because she couldn't sit still in class, unless she was drawing.
"Well, I suppose that is fine. Now, for an explanation, on the new enemies you will be facing." Yen Sid made a copy of Donald.
Which, fair, Sora guesses. He did yell.
And then a Shadow took his place.
"Uh, Witch is more accurate, but ok." Sora shrugged.
"I... I mean, yeah. Magic related is more my style." Donald nodded. Goofy just laughed.
"Yes, I suppose so. Now, please quiet." All of them stopped. "As you know, a Heartless would be formed. And, using the Mage as an example, a Nobody, the enemy you would have encountered coming here, is what is left behind."
"The Corpse!" Sora said, with a grin. Everyone stared at him, but Donald and Goofy in horror.
"Please, my Momma is a Blacksmith, that was right next to the Mortuary. I get bored, designing weapons, when only a few people buy them~" Sora whined. "So, I look in there, from time to time. Have a nice chat with Narukami." She shrugged.
"I... Never mind, we do not need to delve into that... Cluster of Therapy." Yen Sid sighed. "But yes... For lack of a better word, it's corpse, is left behind. And if the person is stronger than normal, a Nobody will be formed. If the person is strong enough." The Duck chained into a perfect copy of Donald.
"A special one would be formed, almost identical to the original. Without a Heart, or able to feel emotions. But Memories to copy them." Sora said, and watched the Confusion in Yen Sid's eyes vanish.
"You know of this."
"I guessed as such." Sora shrugged. "You confirmed it." Kinda.
"I see. You Sora, would have a Nobody." He explained.
"I know." She's already re-joined. "But Kairi wouldn't."
"Hmm... How do you know that?" Yen Sid asked, sounding genuine in that question.
"Saw her dead body, multiple times. Pretty sure Riku would have mentioned something about Kairi walking and talking, but without emotions."
Goofy and Donald, were looking like they really hated the way Sora was explaining this.
"I... That is correct. If the body is visible, then no Nobody is formed."
"Yeah... If someone dies... I don't know what happens. The Heart is gone. But not as in a Heartless way. In a... It was their time, kinda way." Sora explained.
"... Correct." Yen Sid nodded. "Now, I see you have an understanding. And I believe you are more suited for the beach, or an art studio, than an adventure. If you go through the doors, young man, the three fairies will help with your outfit."
And murderous rage Donald, and Protective Goofy were out.
"Thank you, sir." Sora said, and pushed them towards the door, and opened both chests, as the man looked at her while she did so. She felt the urge to just stick her tongue out at him. But, he didn't say much, just letting her.
A Magic Ring, and a map of the tower.
"Thanks." She said, and he nodded.
"Oh, look dears. It's Donald and Goofy. And Sora. I am sorry about that. But, how does the idea of a new outfit sound?" Flora asked, her grandmotherly face smiled at her. She nodded at the red clad woman.
"Sounds lovely." Sora admitted.
The three pointed their magic at her, and sent all three bolts at her.
She felt the magic warp and wrap around her, and form a new outfit.
She smiled, and saw what it was.
New Outfit -
Driving Hero
It's just the clothes. Just imagine Namine in Sora's clothes. How is there not art of that?
"And there is a major part to those clothes. Take this Orb dear." A orb of yellow and orange floated in front of her.
She grasped out, and felt power brimming.
Her Magic was changed, into a different form. And felt her body change to slightly match.
Status -
Form Change: Valour!
The physical manifestation of the Bravery and Strength that Sora has obtained from his life. Favours strength over Magic.
It's main motif is red and a giant Fleur De lis on the back. As well as changing the shoulders and shorts to match. Sora gets a Ponytail to compensate for the extra strength and power.
Strength - 8
Magic - 8
Defence - 7
Abilities -
High Jump LV1 - (Jump Higher than usual. Higher level, means larger jump.)
Valour Attacks - (A collection of attacks that increase power and speed of attacks. Combo finishers have special parts to them.)
Sync Blade - (Wield a second Keyblade, and obtain the extra power.)
Combo Plus - (Increase Combo's by one attack.)
Air Combo Plus - (Increase Air Combo's attacks by one.)
"Woah. Two Keyblades!" Goofy said, as Sora stared at the two of them.
"Star Seeker..." Sora whispered. "Wasn't that..." She stopped, feeling like she was remembering something from another's life.
"The King used that! It's a Training blade!" Goofy explained. Donald nodded.
"Yeah. He used it... Actually, he was even using it before leaving... How'd you get it?" Sora shrugged.
"I feel like Air Combo's can go for longer with this." She explained, waving it slightly. And then felt like she could...
"High jump!" She whooped, as she did a back flip. "Man, did I miss this." She grinned.
"I can tell. These forms, you can find them on your adventures. This one, represents your lost strength." Green explained the reason why Sora feels her body being stronger.
"The bravery of your heart." The one in blue continued.
"I... See." Sora said, and heard Namine start to talk.
"Hey, don't feel down. There's a secret ability! But, I think I understand. We're Islanders! We're supposed to be tough! But, I think after a bit of the nap, we got a bit weaker. We're going to get stronger! Don't worry, Sora!"
"Thanks, Nami. Hey, what's the Ability?"
"Uh, I'll tell you later, everyone's staring at us." Sora giggled slightly, and blushed realising she missed what they said.
"Sorry, just... Thinking about this new form." She explained.
"It's fine, dear. I was just telling you, once you finished getting used to the movement, and having a look in the mirrors, to go see Yen Sid." The red one said.
Sora should probably learn their names.
"Thank you." She smiled, and took a step, and almost fell over.
"Ok, faster, and stronger." Sora muttered, as Goofy caught her arm. She shook herself off, and took off towards the one that glowed a soft Red, slowly.
"Strength." She felt stronger even looking at the mirror.
It was the Valour Form, but... Stronger. Like it was unleashing all the strength Sora had lost, and then some. She looked away, and felt herself revert.
"It's Ultimate Strength! Every hit you deal, will increase your actual Strength! But, when you get hit, it will revert. As well as getting out of combat. So, be careful." Nami warned.
"Ultimate Strength." Sora whispered.
Sora turned to another, and saw herself, with all her magic, returning. Not even touching the ground, not really, as she twirled a Keyblade, she thinks it's Spell Binder, behind her. Blue was the main colours. If Valour had Red sparks, Wisdom has Blue.
"Wisdom." She whispered.
"Feels like your mind would be taking a good challenge!" Nami stated.
"This is really, cool." She saw herself, with Yellow instead of Red or Blue.
She felt a mastery over both Magic and Strength, not the ultimate, but the Ultimate Balance.
"Master. It's the Balance. Sounds powerful, right?"
"Limit." Sora muttered, getting more confident with her movements.
All her old power, had returned. Not the magic, but the older powers. Ripple Drive, and the Limit's that she had been using near the end. Ragnarok, Sonic Rave, Strike Raid, and Arc Arcanum.
She felt a tear almost fall from her eye. The clothes, she couldn't see. It could be her Island outfit, or Nami's white dress. Either could work.
She turned to the one right next to it. The second to last.
She had been overcome, by her own darkness. But, in a safer way.
She wasn't dangerous. Her form, was black with purple parts to it. Yellow eyes shined, and they seemed playful.
"Anti. It's our Darkness. Powerful, but you forgo the Keyblade. It's just pure instinct." Nami warned.
She found that she liked that idea. She is a scrappy girl.
And the final one. It's not tall, or wide. It was almost a bit simple, for what she sees.
"Final Form." Sora breathed.
It was her ultimate power. She wasn't touching the ground. Two Key's, were floating behind her, and orbs of light twirled as they glimmered around her. She was wearing almost all white, with Black highlights.
She felt Ultimate Strength, and Ultimate Magic, combined. It was, the Ultimate Power of the Keyblade.
"Yours. Us. Me. You. Together." She heard, and gasped.
It wasn't Namine's. It was different.
Less coherent, more... Base thoughts. Feelings, more than thoughts.
Kingdom Key, was talking, at least some what.
"Sora?" Donald asked, sounding worried.
"I'm fine." She said, trying to stop her body and voice shaking.
"Ya sure? We can just take a sec if ya need it?" Goofy tried.
"I'm fine." Sora said again, and stepped towards the door, and rolled her shoulders. "Just... Realised Kingdom is actually my Key now. Just hit me." She explained.
"Ah, yeah." Donald nodded. "Even after all this time, being the head mage, doesn't feel real."
"Same with the Guard." Goofy admitted. The three walked through the door.
"Huh? Only one?" Sora groaned, she was expecting something fun.
"Wait, I think it's one we know!" Goofy said. Sora looked again, and she does.
Ra- What? What was she about to say? It's Hollow Bastion.
"Be great to see Leon and the others again." Sora said.
"Uhh... Might have to have something to convince them, you're you." Donald sighed.
"Urgh. Don't remind me." Sora groaned, as she leaned back in the chair.
"Let's get going, shall we?" Sora asked, and pressed the right button.
Yuffie watched, as Donald and Goofy walked around town, looking at everything.
And that really cute blonde teenager. Kinda looked a little like Aerith's kid, but blonde... Wait, those eyes.
"Wow, this place has... Changed." The girl said, looking at all the different shops, and looked at the Equipment Shop.
"Uh, got any defence chains?" She heard blondie ask.
"Sorry. Those went out of stock." Huey said. "A while ago actually. Been a while?"
"You can say that again Huey. So, how've you and your brothers been?" The girl asked.
"Uh, good? Wait... Oh! You're friends with Uncle Donald!" He cheered, and pulled out his signature notebook. "Name? Don't wanna forget you."
"You already have my name." The girl said, and pointed at a name. Yuffie couldn't see it, but it must've been an older one, due to the shocked look on his beak.
"Wait... Really?" He seemed confused.
"Eh, blame magic. So, what have ya got Defence based. I'm kinda at two defence." Blonde explained.
"That's not good. Uh, we got one Devine Bandana left? It's 200M if ya want it." Huey stated.
"Sounds great." The girl handed the duck the right money.
"Don't be gone for so long next time Sora. I know for a fact, that Louie missed you." Sora!?
"I didn't mean to. See ya around Hue. I'll see you all soon. Gotta find Leon and the others.
That's, Sora!? The girl that loo-
Well, she does look like the stereotypical beach girl... But the defence... Sora was strong, strong enough to go toe to toe with Leon, after crashing into the Alley. But this girl.
She looks brittle. And from the way she moves, it's like she hit a massive growth spurt, or she couldn't walk for a while.
She wonders how it's gonna be.
"Hey Sora! You look different." Louie said.
Fucking what now?
"Hey Lou. Yeah, just... Ya know, magic and what not." Sora laughed it off. It was kinda cute.
Focus Yuffie, so, Louie recognised Sora? How?
"Yeah. Ya can change how you look, but your eyes are different. A con-man's gotta see when a person's buying their bu- uh, lies." Donald huffed, but didn't say much. "And ya gotta remember who you've talked to. If the eyes say their touchy about something, don't talk about that. If they seem bored, or angry, let them go. Interested, hook them in. It's just simple."
Simple.
Yeah, evil triplet her ass. He's just the one that's actually good at lying, and talking to people.
"So, you guy's needing new weapons? We got some great ones in stock." Louie asked, with a grin.
"Heh, might as well, right?" Sora asked, and the two nodded.
"Shooting Star, and Comet Staff. How's that sound to you guys?" Sora asked, and the two nodded. Sora grinned, and handed over 400M, and got the two.
"Hey, don't be a stranger!" Louie called to them. Sora waved back, with a promise.
Sora summoned her blade, but it was the second Key. Star Seeker.
"Huh, we're matching!" Sora cheered, as she dodged around a Dusk, and slammed the Key upwards, making it fly into the air. She followed it, and took it down.
"Yeah! Seems like we got a matching set!" Goofy laughed.
"Last one!" Sora grinned. The three nearly fell over after the fight.
"Nice to see that you're not out of shape." Yuffie laughed, and Sora glared.
"Sorry that I'm getting used to a new body, Yuffie."
"Uh... New Body? What ever do you mean? And on that note, where's Sora, and why'd you get a Keyblade?"
"Two things. One, you're a horrid actor." Yuffie flinched. "And two, I could sense your heart, back in the market." She sighed.
"And here I thought being a ninja was helpful."
"If it makes you feel better, I can also lock onto invisible things." Sora said.
"I... That actually does, somewhat. OK, so, want me to go first? Explain that you might look, a little different?" Yuffie asked.
"Naw, hit em with the ol one two, ya know?" Yuffie laughed.
"Sounds great. Come on, it's just over this way." Yuffie laughed. "Come on, keep up!" Sora nodded, and started to run after her, and tripped.
"Shoot." She hissed, as she slowly sat down, and looked at her leg.
"Uh..." Yuffie ran back. "You ok?" She asked, worried.
"I'm fine." Sora could almost hear the beeping already. Four damage. Six. She could take a little more damage. But damn, was that bad.
"Here." Yuffie handed her a potion, and Sora used it.
"Thanks." Sora said, and walked towards the house.
"Merlin's House?" She asked.
"Uh, how'd you know that?" Yuffie asked. "You didn't get to ask where we are?"
"Uh... Blame my Heartless side." Sora said.
"What?" Yuffie asked, confused.
"I... Heart Hotel? I have like, three people in my heart right now. And Kept Kairi's safe for most the first adventure." Sora explained.
"Ok... What's that got to do with this?"
"Uhh... Hey, look. We're here." Sora said, and tried to kick open the door, but held her foot. And then just opened it.
"It was pull." She muttered, feeling her face get red.
"Hey guys!" Sora said, with a giant smile.
"Huh?" Aerith turned to the girl with slight confusion. The eyes, were a dead give-away. It was Sora. The boy that had helped liberate this place.
Now, was a Blonde girl. With a small scab over her knee.
"I tripped." Said girl said, as Aerith opened her mouth.
"Right... And you are?" Leon asked, slightly confused. Aerith wanted to giggle. Sora had a slightly hurt look, but they eyes were betraying the young girl.
It was a playful look.
"Wow, you don't remember me? You beat me until I fell unconscious!" She chided.
Leon... Looked like he was trying to remember...
"How many teenagers have you-"
"Not MANY!" Leon defended himself against Yuffie, who was staring in slight fascination and horror.
The correct emotions at that statement.
"I... Wow, now I feel even better about beating you. I mean, almost dead, and you've been beating kids for years."
"Sora." Leon said, with a heavy sigh. "What the actual fuck?"
"LANGUAGE!" Both Donald and Goofy yelled.
"Uh, you guy's know I live on an ISLAND, right? Sailors come and go. I've heard worse. Told worse." Was muttered, but everyone heard that.
"OK, let's just... Talk about that later sweetie. So, what happened?" Aerith asked.
"Uhh..." Why was she trying to-
"Kinda... You know how I became a Heartless?"
"Stabbing yourself, in the heart. Yes." Leon said.
"Uh, went for round two! Electric Boogaloo... Or Memory edition." Sora said, with a nervous giggle.
"I... Again... What the fuck?" Cid asked this time. Old man voice.
It was only a year, why does he sound so much older?
"We... Not enough time." Donald muttered. "So, we saw some Nobodies..."
"Those weird things? You know what they are?"
"Corpses." Sora shrugged.
Everyone stared at her.
"I... Why is that normal?" Yuffie asked, and Sora shrugged.
"No clue. I'm also one of them. Half, at least. Anyway~" Aerith does not want to just brush past that.
"Needing a hand?" Sora asked, and grabbed the Keyblade. Kingdom Chain, if Aerith remembers correctly.
"That would be good." Yuffie didn't seem too keen on that idea.
"Sora-"
"I'm fine. Really." Sora seethed, with a slight glare.
"I... Uh, Aerith. I... Over here." As the others started to talk plans, Yuffie almost dragged Aerith over.
"You need to teach hi- her, healing magic. Or give her a lot of potions." Yuffie warned.
"Why?"
"Scraped her knee. And didn't seem to want to get hit. She's got two defence. She's not able to take a hit. Ten Health, Aerith. Ten." She glanced over to the girl, who was looking like nothing was wrong, and looking around the room.
Aerith might have to teach her some magic.
"You know, that I cannot teach magic anymore. I don't have any." Aerith whispered. "I can only make some potions."
Yuffie sighed. "Well, then Sora better get some good protection. Otherwise, we're gonna get really good at reviving people."
"Protect the gate?" Sora asked, feeling Magic coursing in a new way. Ice.
Blizzard. It felt different. A single harsh shot, instead of a spread. She loves the feeling.
"Yep. Can't let them get in to the main part." Leon ordered.
"Yeah yeah. Heard ya the first time dude."
"Keep it in good enough shape, and I'll give you a spare Fire Sheet." Sora grinned, and let Blizzard seep from her hand, as she summoned Kingdom.
"Let's get to it then." Leon laughed.
"Knew it would work." Sora just shrugged. "All you girls are Arsonists." Leon muttered.
"Rude. I also love to Freeze things. And Shockem. And breaking their spines with Gravity." Sora started to explain, but trailed off, as Leon shivered.
"You're scarier." Leon admitted. Sora just gave off a giggle.
"It's true. You stabbed a man in the face."
"He was already dead." Sora said out loud, as she sent a blast of Ice towards a cluster of Dusks.
"Wh- Never mind. I don't want to know." Leon muttered, as he slashed a Dusk in half.
"Eh, probably. It was weird." She dodged around an attack, her body twisting in a way, that probably wasn't meant to be possible for a human.
"Urgh, that makes me feel the pain." Leon groaned, as he saw the motion she was making, and Sora slashed the Dusk back into nothing.
"Here." He tossed her the rolled up scroll. "Don't... Don't set any buildings on fire, and I won't complain." Leon promised, as the others ran up.
"The Keyblade." Sora ran out the door.
"Such a wonderous power." She glared at the space, that held a group of people.
"Too bad, it's in the wrong hands." She just sighed.
"Dude, just... Stop? Please." Sora groaned. "I really can't give two anything's about your big evil plan. The Castle didn't work, so what ever you got now, will not work either."
Now, Sora might sound brave. But, she was seconds away from crying in fear.
She knows, how powerful the others were, in the Castle. And Namine had given her a fighting chance.
And the fact that she is Namine. And she had been taken by them, and forced to do their bidding.
OH, and knows there are a total of three Sora defeated. And Riku took out two, technically.
Meaning, there was nine left.
Nine. She was barely able to defeat two. Axel, took out one.
Sora's gonna have to fight nine people. Nine. And all powerful.
She's not just scared. She's terrified. Almost wanting to just curl up and cry.
So, humour, and putting on a brave face. That was the best bet.
"Hmm. You, look different. But, I can tell. You, are Sora." The strongest of the nine said. She glared, but felt the eyes start to water.
"Shut up, and go back to nothingness!" She called. A Nobody, that had been walking around, did just so.
"Uhh, that just happened. So, Boss. Ya gonna give the kid a hard time, or let her run around. What's the plan here?" Axel asked.
"Silence. Xemnas, has a plan." Another scowled. An almost growl.
"Xemnas? A Plan? Dude showed up once, and tried to beat me up. Uno Reverse, but like. A for effort dude." Sora said, and everyone in the area stilled.
"I... Yeah, kinda expected it to be you, Sora." Axel said. "Or is it Namine? Can't really tell."
Everyone looked at Sora, and she just grinned.
"Nice to see ya too Axel. Nice to see you didn't go dying on me."
"Hah, yeah. Anyway, I got better things to do, than just stand around. See ya." Axel left through a corridor.
Sora knows, he didn't leave the world.
"So, what're ya wanting?" Sora asked.
"Hmm. Nothing. Just seeing, the weak, helpless little child, with a weapon they have no idea how to handle."
Sora then shouted.
"SHUT THE HELL UP OLD MAN!" It wasn't just her voice. She heard a total, including her own, and three others.
"You don't get to say that!" Sora yelled, and pointed her key towards him.
"NOW FREEZE!" A giant chunk of ice was flung towards him, but a metallic wall shimmering, blocked it.
"Darn." He muttered.
"Enjoy the time you have left. It will not last." Xemnas warned. Sora just grinned at him.
"Try me, Lightshow." Sora grinned.
As the last faded away. Sora fell down, and started letting the tears fall.
"That was terrifying." Sora cried, and felt a soft hand on her shoulder.
"Sweetie?" Aerith asked, and Sora just gave a shaky smile.
"Long story. But." She pulled out the Card. And felt the World, telling her to summon her Keyblade.
"It's time for the next world." She said, pointing it at the Keyhole. She smiled, as she felt a connection to another world, start to form.
She looked at Aerith, who had a sad smile.
"Well, before you go. Here." She handed the young girl, a bag full of potions. "You might need them."
"Thank you." Sora smiled, and felt her heart grow slightly.
She felt more connected to her own body, and she loves it.

Story Update:
It was nice to see everyone in Hollow Bastion again. I missed them.
It was nice to take a small break, as not much happened. I'm not sure how often I am going to see them.
I... Nearly broke down, after dealing with the remaining Organization members.
It was scary, because I remember. What they did to me, as Sora. And what they did to me as Namine.
Also, Xemnas is an ass. He showed up, tried to kick my but last year, and left.
It was like Sephiroth, but I didn't have to retry three times.
It was kinda easy. But, now I'm weak. If I kept my skills, I wouldn't be so scared, but...
Eh, I'm feeling slightly better. But, onto the next world! I'm getting a very... Healing vibe, from it.
Aerith is really nice.
Notes:
Interesting fact. I can't think of a time where Cid would have been voiced in KH1. So, KH2, is the only time where he actually got a voice!
Yep, due to CoM, and Coded being on non-Play-Station platforms, Cid never got an actual voice, other than KH2, and RE-mind...
If ya count MoM, maybe. But I don't. Freaken Rhythm games. Thought we were over that, after the Ice Cream stuff. On the funny side. I keep writing Dusk, as Duck.
Confusion?: When did people agree Siax was dog like? Or that Demyx was even liked by any of the Org?
