Chapter Text

Kimi pushes open the back door with a happy sigh. He was tired, naked and sore from his recent change back into human form. Kimi never really bothered with clothes anymore. He just wandered in naked whenever he felt like it. Sebastian didn't seem to mind either which was a bonus. 

“Kulta? We’ll have to head out tonight. I saw signs of a fire in the woods.” Kimi calls out as he tracks Sebastian's scent to the kitchen where he was no doubt cooking something good.

He’s moving to enter the kitchen when Sebastian firmly calls out: 

“Stop!” 

Flabbergasted, Kimi stops in the doorway, blinking in confusion at Sebastian. “What is it? Are your parents here again?” He quicky covers himself. 

Sebastian looks amused and shakes his head. “No, just…maybe look up?” 

Puzzled Kimi looks up to see mistletoe hanging on the doorframe. He turns back to Sebastian and gives him a crooked grin. “Oh.”

Sebastian grins and moves over to him. “Oh indeed, Mr Raikkonen. I'm taking my kiss now.” 

Kimi laughs, the sound throaty and rich from his recent change and he reaches for Sebastian’s waist. “I’ll gladly pay this toll.” 

Sebastian moves into his arms and leans in to kiss him. Sweet and tender.

Kimi feels all his aches and pains fade in the comfort of Sebastian’s warm kiss. 

Chapter Text

Kimi gives a low sigh, lying on his side on the forest floor. Everything hurt after a change. Even breathing. Kimi sometimes wondered what would happen when he was old. Would the change be something he couldn't recover from? He shivers. No. It's not worth going there just yet. 

He lies on the forest floor, almost hating how dull his senses now were. As a wolf he felt unstoppable. Powerful. The moments after a change were the worst. His skin was sensitive and he felt as weak as a newborn foal. It always took a few minutes for his body to remember which way was up. 

He always envied the younger pack members. They always seemed to perk up quite quickly after a change, asking where food was and quick to get up and have a shower. Even Sebastian seemed fine. A lot quicker than Kimi. 

With a sigh he shakes the thoughts from his head and slowly sits up. At least Sebastian was home for cuddles. 

Cheered up by that thought, Kimi gets to his feet carefully and stumbles through the trees. Not bothering with clothes because what was the point? Sebastian was home and they lived practically in the woods anyway. 

He opens the back door and makes his way through to the living room. “Sebby? I need some cuddles, that transformation hurt like hell.” 

Sebastian stands up as soon as Kimi enters the room. His face pale. “Kimi! Uh….did you lose a bet with Valtteri again?” 

“What bet? Seb I was in the….” Kimi trails off as he sees Norbert and Heike sat on the sofa staring at him. He lets out a sound and covers up his private parts.

Sebastian clears his throat. “In the pub? With Valtteri? And he dared you to walk home naked through the woods again?” 

Kimi swallows hard and nods as Heike leans over to whisper to Norbert, “again?!” 

Sebastian huffs quietly and shakes his head. “Go shower. I'll call Valtteri later to yell at him.” 

Kimi quietly nods and after sheepishly waving at Sebastian’s parents he heads upstairs as he hears Sebastian explain: 

“Kimi and Valtteri have a game of drinking. A Finnish thing. If one loses they have to do a dare. As you can see, Kimi lost again.” 

Well….that was one way to explain his nakedness but now he had to suffer the embarrassment for the rest of his life. 

It was a small price to pay for Sebastian making him love his curse. 

Chapter Text

The deer doesn't stand a chance. 

Kimi lies low, slowly creeping through the trees, his tail sweeps the leaves but it makes no sound. The deer continues eating. Unaware. 

He creeps just a little more and then he springs. 

A few moments later he is gorging himself on his kill, feeling happy and relaxed. Finally a hunt all to himself where he hasn't had to snap at the younger members of the pack until he has had his fill. 

Today was just for him and his wolf to bond. To run through the trees free and happy. The pack were all doing their own thing which left him to be able to change and be alone for once. 

After he finishes eating he cleans his paws and face and then finds a nice sunny spot to sleep in. All warm and cozy. 

He's awoken a few minutes into his dose by the sounds of footsteps and he flicks his ears towards the sound. His nose also catches the scent of whoever it is. 

Sebastian. 

Kimi lifts his head and gives a huge yawn, wagging his tail in greeting to Sebastian. The German offers him a warm smile. 

“There you are! And I see you've had something to eat.” Sebastian comments, looking at the remains of the deer. “I don't mind. It's just I've made your favourite and I hope you have room for it.” 

Kimi looks curiously at his Husband and then stretches out, feeling the twinge deep in his bones as he triggers his transformation back to human. 

The familiar ache of the change sweeps over him. As familiar as breathing. But almost as soon as the pain takes over, it dulls. He opens his eyes and sees Sebastian leaning over him, his hands gently resting on his changing body, allowing him some respite from the pain. The power of their soul bond in all its glory.

After another few painful but manageable minutes, thanks to Sebastian, Kimi fully becomes human and he takes a moment to lie on the grass and get used to his human shape. 

Sebastian sits back on his heels, giving Kimi time to come round, the bond pulsing between them with soft love. 

“I'm okay.” Kimi says hoarsely, his vocal chords still rough, and Sebastian gives a little smirk.

“You always manage to sound so sexy after a change.” 

Kimi laughs, looking at Sebastian in amusement. “Really?” 

“Really.” Sebastian nods. “All throaty like that. Quite the turn on.” 

Kimi looks at Sebastian, his eyes devious right as he pounces and leaps onto Sebastian, pinning him to the ground. 

Sebastian lets out a soft oof at the move, glancing up at Kimi playfully. “Oh so the big bad wolf has me. Does he?” 

“He does indeed. And do you want to know what this big bad wolf is going to do to you?” Kimi asks, voice still low and guttural. 

Sebastian shivers and shakes his head and Kimi gives him a predatory look.

Suddenly Sebastian gets an image in his head. An image of himself naked on his knees in front of Kimi while the Alpha makes him do whatever he wants with his power of compulsion. A low appreciative moan escapes Sebastian at the image Kimi sends him and the Finn breaks into a triumphant grin. 

“I knew you'd like that, Kulta. So….how about this? I come home with you, you feed me what you've cooked and we head upstairs?” Kimi lightly moves his hand underneath Sebastian’s shirt to feel his abs. 

With a shaky nod, Sebastian bites his lip and acts submissive. “Yes, Alpha.” 

Kimi growls low and leans down to kiss him, hard and full of promise. Sebastian eagerly returns the kiss, cupping Kimi's cheek.

Kimi loved it when Sebastian wanted to play. It made him feel good and Sebastian knew exactly what buttons to press. Sebastian and his little magic trick of partially shifting when he needed to was also a bonus to their play. 

Sebastian breaks off the kiss to breathe and his hands wander down Kimi’s naked back, his fingernails lengthening ever so slightly to become claws. Sebastian does not give away the pain of attempting that as he draws his claws lightly down Kimi's back. Causing the Finn to gasp. 

“Just remember I have claws too.” Sebastian purrs in a low voice, Kimi shivering when he notices his teeth had also become slightly sharper. He didn't know how Sebastian managed to control parts of shifting without fully changing but damn didn't he know how to use the ability. 

“Let's see if that's gonna help you.” Kimi whispers, leaving tiny little kisses along his jaw and throat. “Now….shall we go home?” 

Sebastian whimpers softly and Kimi feels the points of the claws recede as Sebastian loses his focus on his shift and reverts back to human, going soft under Kimi's attention. 

Kimi lightly nips at Sebastian's throat, his teeth close to the mating mark that sat on Sebastian's throat. “Home now. My Mate. I'm hungry again.” 

Sebastian shivers, his eyes dark with desire. “Get off me first before you have sex with me out here.” 

“It wouldn't be the first time.” Kimi murmurs, but he relents and gets off Sebastian to allow the other man to get up. 

Sebastian brushes down his clothes and gives Kimi a playful look. “Come catch me.” 

And then Sebastian takes off through the trees with his wolf speed and Kimi runs after him. Their laughter echoing through the trees. 

Chapter Text

It's Lando that has the idea. From Stranger Things of all the places to get ideas. 

He gets it into his head that a song could help them whenever they lost control of their wolves. A song that could break through the wolf into the heart of the human within. But it had to be a song with meaning. 

For Lando he decides he'd pick the Friday song. For Max he chooses Green Green Grass Of Home. 

Kimi? He thinks it's nonsense. But Sebastian thinks it has some plausibility. After all, music was proven to be a tool that brains responded to. If there was a song someone loved with their entire heart it usually helped them recover memory in the fog of dementia or helped pull them through the darkest thoughts. 

Sebastian’s song was A Sky Full Of Stars. Kimi knew that all too well. 

Sadly Kimi didn't think music would help. It was a theory he had never tried before but also, how can a song push down an angry wolf? 

He soon sadly finds out when Sebastian loses control one day. No one knows why or how he lost control..just that suddenly the entire pack finds an angry and growling wolf on their hands. 

Kimi tries everything. The mating bond. His power as Alpha. He even tries force. But for all his efforts he ends up slammed against a wall, his arm snapping with a sickening sound by the force. 

Through the haze of pain, he feels the fear of his pack and he orders them not to move. He just cradles his broken arm and looks into the eyes of the feral wolf stalking him. 

And he begins to sing. 

His voice isn't beautiful. It's coarse and rough, but he pushes on..singing Sebastian’s favorite song to this angry wolf. “Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars….”

The wolf growls, saliva dripping from its jaws as it comes closer and closer. 

“I'm gonna give you my heart..” Kimi sings, holding out his hand to the wolf. “I don't care. Go on and tear me apart. I don't care if you do….” 

The wolf seems to pause, a momentary lack of movement. It's eyes are wary. Something battling deep inside it. 

Kimi continues, head tilted to expose his throat. An Alpha submitting. “Because in a sky full of stars, I think I saw you…”

The wolf whines, shaking its head as Sebastian fights for control and in the next few heartbeats, clarity seems to come back to Sebastian. 

Kimi keeps singing, over and over, “In a sky full of stars, I think I see you….”

Sebastian whimpers, flattening his ears as he rushes at Kimi. But the Alpha finds no fangs in his throat as Sebastian buries himself in Kimi. Feeling his pain as clearly as his own. 

Kimi holds the shaking wolf as tight as he can with one arm and vows to listen to Lando more in the future.

Chapter Text

Kimi is kissing him and it feels like bliss.

It had started out with gentle making out but had gradually dissolved into Kimi climbing into Sebastian’s lap and pushing him down onto the couch. The slow gentle kisses had turned into deep bruising kisses and Kimi’s hands had wandered up under his hoodie.

A low moan is pulled from Sebastian’s lips as Kimi turns his attention to his neck, kissing and leaving little nips against his skin. The sharp sweet pain makes him gasp out loud and in turn, he barely notices the other little stings of pain coming from the tips of his ears. It’s only when Kimi stops his relentless assault on his neck and huffs a gentle laugh that he does notice.

“Sebby, your ears. How the hell have you managed that?”

Sebastian makes a little noise in his throat, suddenly aware that sounds appeared sharper. He reaches up to touch his ears and notices they’ve turned pointy on their way to shifting to wolf ears.

Kimi still sits on top of him, his eyes soft and fond. “Your eyes have gone gold too, Muru. This partial shifting ability of yours is adorable.”

Sebastian lets out a huff, his face crimson. He’s not really looking forward to the shift back and it seems Kimi understands, as the Finn merely presses a loving kiss against his lips and then goes back to gently kissing his throat again. “I’ll help with the pain. You just focus on turning back for me.”

And Sebastian does, focusing only on the feel of Kimi’s lips on him as his ears shift back into human shape.

This partial shifting ability was weird, but it also came with some benefits. Like the look of awe on Kimi’s face any time he manages it.

It’s all worth it for that.  

Chapter Text

Sebastian finds it while he’s cleaning. Himself and Kimi had moved their shared trophies into one of the spare rooms and once a week, Sebastian would go into the room to clean. It isn’t vanity as such, it’s because Sebastian liked a clean home and the fact was that being mated to the Alpha of a wolf pack didn’t mean that their rooms stayed pristine for long. 

He’s just cleaning a shelf when he sees the photo. It’s of a young Kimi, smiling and holding a trophy, but the most startling thing was that his hair was bright red. 

Giving a little hum, he pulls down the photo to look at it more closely, admiring his Husband in his younger years. 

“It was a mistake.” 

Kimi’s voice startles Sebastian and he almost drops the picture as he turns to look at the Finn. “I didn’t even sense you!”

“You’re getting soft.” Kimi says with a teasing smile and Sebastian rolls his eyes. 

“Yeah yeah. Keep dreaming. We’ll see who’s soft tonight.” Sebastian’s eyes have a soft amber glow in them. The full moon was tonight. 

Kimi motions back to the picture. “I was saying. The red dye. It was a mistake.” 

“Why? I think it looks cute.” Sebastian says with a grin. 

Kimi shakes his head, pointing to the picture. “Because I dyed my hair red, my wolf ended up having a giant red streak in its fur.” 

Sebastian is silent for a moment, before he starts to giggle. He’s amused as he imagines Kimi’s wolf form with the streak down its back. “That…is something.” 

“It was so stupid. After that, I didn’t dare dye my hair again.” Kimi replies, moving to put the picture back. “I came in here looking for you actually.” 

“Oh?” Sebastian looks at Kimi curiously. 

“Our kids are not coming tonight. Myla is going to be with her Grandparents. So…for the first time in a long while we have a full moon night to ourselves.” Kimi tells him softly. 

Sebastian’s eyes widen and he beams at Kimi. “Seriously?” 

“Seriously.” Kimi confirms. “So….wanna nest for a little while before we head out?” 

Kimi says ‘nest’ but the heated look in his eyes tells Sebastian he wants to do more than nest and it makes his heart skip a beat. 

“Fuck yes.” Sebastian tosses the can of polish he has and Kimi lets out a happy laugh as he holds out his hand. The German takes it happily and lets Kimi lead him out of the room. 

Chapter Text

The full moon sings. Her glow washing the clearing with silver light. The night is silent and calm. The only other sound in the entire world was the soft panting of Sebastian as he rests after his change. 

Kimi flicks his ears, still recovering himself, and turns to look at Sebastian. 

Would the sight of him never make it feel like his heart has stopped? 

He was beautiful. Such a rare golden coloring for a wolf. Kimi had read up on it recently. Sometimes it did happen. But the curls were definitely not natural on a wolf. But they were so Sebastian that Kimi knew that the German was blessed by the moon. Kimi had scoffed recently when Sebastian had asked if the moon was a Goddess, but looking at Sebastian now. He was inclined to believe that werewolves had a Goddess watching over them. One who blessed her wolves with beauty. 

Because Sebastian had it all. 

It doesn't take long for Sebastian to notice Kimi watching him and his tongue lols in a wolfy grin as he climbs to his paws and moves over to Kimi, instantly nudging his muzzle and setting about washing between his ears, a contented sound coming from him all the while. 

It was heaven. 

These days, Kimi took longer to recover from a change, but Sebastian was patient. Taking the time it took for Kimi to settle into his new form by softly grooming him. It made Sebastian happy and filled Kimi with quiet bliss. Kimi knew he was loved. 

And so did his wolf. After all the years he had pushed it aside. Had cursed it's existence. Had tried to kill it. Kimi now loved it. And the wolf was now a contented creature, happy for Kimi to take control. 

Because now they were one. They were no longer fighting each other for control. So the wolf didn't mind Kimi wanting to spend the full moon with Sebastian. Because it was spending time with their mate. 

Kimi flicks his ears, a silent signal, and Sebastian backs up to give Kimi room to get up.

Once Kimi is on his paws, he nudges Sebastian with his head and drops into a play-bow, wiggling his haunches with a wolf grin on his face. 

Sebastian yips and drops into his own bow before Kimi launches away into the woods, Sebastian hard on his paws. 

Kimi loved his life. 

Chapter Text

The benefit of Kimi's hearing as a werewolf is that he knows exactly when Sebastian is feeling close to losing control. 

It sounds a bit of a cliche to say that it's like in the movies, but it kind of is. For example, in the big scary Hollywood werewolf movies the inflicted protagonist can hear their heart racing ominously as they fight for control over their wolf. It's rather like that for Kimi. He can feel his heart race and hear it increasing. So it's always an audible sign for him. 

It's the same thing for Sebastian. But he hasn't really picked up on it yet. So it's up to Kimi to get him to focus on his breathing when it does happen. 

As soon as Kimi's hearing picks up that Sebastian's heart is going way too fast, Kimi knows he's needed. He instantly goes to his boyfriend and takes his hands, checking his eyes for signs of his wolf before he sits down with him and softly pulls him into his arms. 

"Take deep breaths, Kulta. It should help slow your heart rate." 

Sebastian nods softly against his chest, shutting his eyes and taking slow deep breaths and trying to ignore how tight his own body feels. For a few minutes it's a struggle for him to do it, but then his hearing picks up Kimi's steady beating heart and wow...okay.

With his hearing he can pick everything up. Each steady beat. The rush of blood through the veins. It's slow. It's melodic. It's Kimi. It's his calm steady strength. As he focuses more on the heartbeat, Sebastian finds himself regaining control. 

Kimi sits there silently holding his mate and listening to his heart and he breathes a sigh of relief as his heart slows down. 

Neither of them know they're both listening to each other's heart. 

"Better?" Kimi asks his mate softly and Sebastian looks up, nodding gently. 

"Much....that was....yeah..." Sebastian doesn't know how to explain how that felt. 

Kimi just presses a kiss to his forehead and softly nuzzles his nose. "Yeah I had to learn myself. The first few months are the hardest, but you've got this." 

Sebastian gives Kimi a gentle smile and gently takes his hand. "Because I have you." 

"Mhm. But you're also strong willed yourself." Kimi says gently. 

Sebastian hums his agreement. But he isn't really listening. Because his entire attention is on the beat of Kimi's heart. Soft and slow and so fucking strong. 

Sebastian thinks he's in love. 

Chapter Text

Nearing the end of his career, the press decide that they can talk shit about Kimi. 

Which isn't okay for Sebastian. Not in the slightest. 

Even before becoming a werewolf, Sebastian was always protective of Kimi. He absolutely hated it when someone would talk shit about him. No one knew who Kimi was. Not really. But Sebastian did. 

That should have clued him in on his feelings towards him sooner. 

The day in question, Sebastian is in the media pen answering yet more questions about the terrible Ferrari he was driving. Kimi had just finished his own interview and was leaving the pen, giving Sebastian a wink as he passes by. It makes Sebastian feel all warm and mushy inside. God he loved him. 

"....such a shame that Kimi wasn't never on par with Sebastian in Ferrari. He was clearly terrible after his championship. They should have gotten someone hungrier for wins. Instead they got someone who prefers getting drunk to winning races!" 

Oh that. That hits Sebastian's sensitive hearing. He turns around to the voice and a low growl leaves him. 

DC.

What the fuck did he know about Kimi? 

He feels this heat wrap around him and his skin feels too tight. Without thinking he moves over to the ex driver and stands next to him. 'What did you say?" 

If Sebastian was more aware of his surroundings he would have noticed that his own voice now had a rough edge to it. 

DC looks up at Sebastian and blinks in surprise. "Sebastian! Good race today! A solid score of points!" 

"What did you say about Kimi?" Sebastian asks, voice firm and rather scary. 

His nose picks up the scent of fear and his wolf side gets interested. He'd love to chase this guy and pin him down with his fangs in his throat. But he can't.  

"You....you must have good hearing. Care to weight in about it?" DC swallows thickly, his voice shaky. 

"I'd prefer you get Kimi's name out of your damn mouth. That man is worth more than you. You who couldn't even get a championship. Remind me how many wins you have again? 

"13." David says quietly. 

"That's right. 13. And that gives you zero right to talk about Kimi the way you just did. You will earn that right when you're no longer mediocre." 

A warm hand suddenly wraps around his and the scent of Kimi fills his nose. 

"Sorry, DC. The sun has gotten to Sebastian. I'm going to take him away now." Kimi says pointedly, and in stunned silence, DC lets Kimi lead Sebastian away. 

When they're out of earshot and out of public view, Kimi let's go of Sebastian's hand and turns him around. 

"Your eyes are glowing, Kulta. Now I know what DC said was not nice. But it was just words. He didn't need to be threatened!" 

Sebastian blinks at Kimi's words, and the sound of his boyfriend's voice is enough to squash the influence of his wolf. Instantly, everything comes roaring back to him, and he groans and buries his head in his hands. 

"Did I really call DC mediocre?" 

"You did, and I don't think you're wrong. But you should apologise." Kimi says gently, giving Sebastian a warm smile. "Even though it was nice to hear you defend me." 

"I will always defend you." Sebastian says quietly. "You mean the world to me." 

"And you me. Which is why you need to say sorry and make an excuse because you were radiating big scary werewolf at him." Kimi tells him. 

"Fuck....what do I do?" Sebastian asks, his face pale. 

'Like I said. Tell DC it was the sun. A trick of the light. Smooth it over with that silver tongue of yours." Kimi nuzzles his nose softly. "And for the love of God just breathe, Sebby." 

Sebastian nods softly, taking in a deep breath to attempt to calm himself down. Kimi gently copies him, helping him to feel more human. 

"Now after you apologise we can go for a run. Okay?" Kimi asks softly. 'I'm sure that will feel good."

"Oh it would. It absolutely would." Sebastian nods softly. 

"Then off you go." Kimi gently pushes him back to the press pen. 

"But what if I lose it again?" Sebastian asks, worry flicking over his face. "I barely was in the seat that time." 

"You won't lose it again. I know how strong you are." Kimi says softly. He walks over to Sebastian and gently cups his cheek. "And maybe this kiss will help."

Kimi leans in to kiss Sebastian gently, feeling the German melt against him. 

Works every time. 

When Sebastian pulls back he's smiling confidently and he takes a deep breath. "Okay time to go apologise to that dickhead." 

Kimi laughs softly and nods, letting him go as Sebastian walks away with Kimi's laughter a soothing comfort in his ears.
