"I am feeling lately that I am not giving you the attention you deserve. And I don't spend the amount of time that I would like with you. I hope that you don't feel neglected," Saying all of that wasn't easy for Draco. Even after all these years and a long-lasting relationship, he still sometimes found it hard to talk openly about his feelings.
"But... but I want you to know that I love you. I appreciate you greatly. You make my life better every day. " He felt relieved that he managed to say it all.
"You're quite literally the apple of my eye."
"Oh thanks, honey, that's sweet," called Harry out of the dining hall.
"What?" Draco raised his head towards him.
"You know I can hear you, right?" his husband smiled.
"No, I did not know that," he whispered.
"I love you too. But I guess that's given."
"Yeah, sure," Draco laughed nervously. He then crouched to be closer to the true object of his undying affection. "Shhhh…. I know, I love him, but it's completely different. He would never understand the unique connection we have," he quietly whispered to his Granny Smith hidden under the kitchen table.
