Summary
Apollo has watched his demigod children suffer at the hands of monsters and mortals alike. When he receives a prophecy claiming that death intends to take his remaining children, the troubled Olympian jumps to the chance to defy fate.
Except, he needs allies before his children arrive.
And maybe a babysitter...
TL;DR: Apollo gets ready to take his children from Camp Half-Blood. However, he needs to make deals to keep his children protected, and maybe some more after they arrive.

“There’s a new upstart singer,” Apollo bites, his voice tense and lifeless. “I want to see her, this is,” he waves his hand dismissively, “growing boring . ”
-
The thought stops the Olympian in the middle of a New York sidewalk, leading to many mortals colliding with him from behind, followed closely by various curses and dirty looks. If they had said such things at any other moment, he would not have hesitated to curse them, to rip apart their bloodline without mercy, but today, he finds himself aware of the mortality of his own children, as his children were his own, these mortals had families, why should such a small interaction leave them dead? Mortal minds could not comprehend reality, not as he could, even demigods were unable to grasp their role in the universe. They did not understand that he watched them as if they were his most prized possessions. That he cared for each of them in the silence, when no one could see. However, in the act of silently loving them, could they feel his presence at all? Did they know he loved them? Did he love them?Could he have what his sister had with his own children? Could he carry the same closeness? Could he watch them in the ruckus? Must he wait for the silence to act?
Did his fellow Olympians share the same pain?
-
Apollo opens his mouth and then shuts it with an audible snap. No material good would be enough for a god capable of building anything. No power would lure a fellow Olympian, not when they were the same. What could he offer? What would be worth the risk? Then, Apollo sees it. Far in the future, a boy with bouncing curls standing on his island, coated in an aura of death. He was asking for help -- aid in his time of need. A way out.“In the future, a child of yours comes to me for help, a tool that will save him from death,” Hephaestus’ eyes lock onto him. Bingo, Apollo thinks triumphantly. “I will aid them to the best of my ability.”
“Swear it.”
There is no hesitation in the promise, even as lightning bursts across the sky, locking Apollo to his words. In a moment, his stepbrother is on his feet, rolling out a blueprint.

He will not know of the tears that will be shed as a new pain pierces the hearts of friends and strangers alike -- no, he will wake up warm and naive as scissors fail to cut his lifeline.Notes:
the fates, watching their tapestry fall apart: do you even know how long that took???

“Anyone can become angry,” Aristotle had once said. “But to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose, and in the right way -- that is not within everyone’s power and is not easy.”At the time, it was laughable. Truly, laughable. For a divine to contain their rage was a blessing on its own, not that mortals ever viewed it as such. No, there was always more . They could never be satisfied.
As the door to his aunt's temple swings open, Apollo hesitates. It’s odd, they’ve never been close before. But now, he feels the call for family more than ever before -- where else to go than to the source of it all?
