Summary
Silco and Renee Fitzroy had been happily married for twelve years now, and Silco knows he should be grateful for the life he has. He's rich and successful, living the life that most would kill for. And yet, he can't help but feel as though something in his life is missing. He isn't sure what, but Silco is determined to ignore it.
But then his old friend, Vander Lane, re-enters his life.
The two went all the way back to college, getting into all sorts of trouble and having a brotherhood that lasted for years. However, life ultimately caused the two to drift apart but it's like no time has passed once they resume hanging out again. Silco is not only reintroduced to Vander but to all of his kids, including Jinx who had grown up a lot since the last time Silco had seen her. She was twenty and going to college and yet she was the same girl who always clung to Silco and followed him wherever he went.
But Jinx's old crush on the older man has turned into an obsession that won't die and that soon becomes clear when she starts messing with him, pursuing the man behind everyone's back. Silco knows he shouldn't but it isn't long before he falls under Jinx's spell.
